Gdansk is for 'normal civilised white people': Fresh race row for Euro 2012 as host city's deputy mayor makes radio gaffe

Euro 2012 has been hit by a new race row after the deputy mayor of a Polish host-city labelled its citizens 'normal civilised white people'.

Andrzej Bojanowski sparked outrage, and has since said sorry, for his live radio comments about the city where Spain demolished Ireland 4-0 last night.

And ahead of England's game against Sweden in Kiev tonight it will again raise the issue of racism when organisers are wanting fans to focus on the football.
