Yle on kirjoittanut Trumpin päätökseen viitaten "muslimikiellosta" ja Helsingin Sanomat "pakolaiskiellosta", jotka molemmat ovat tietoisen valheellisia ja tahallisen propagandistisia ilmauksia.

Samoin Suomen ulkomaankauppa- ja kehitysministeri Kai Mykkänen on kiirehtinyt twiittaamaan "pakolaisten syrjinnästä uskonnon perusteella", jota "Suomi ja EU eivät aio eikä niiden pidä missään olosuhteissa tehdä". Ministeri ei täsmentänyt, millä tavalla Yhdysvallat nyt syrjii pakolaisia uskonnon perusteella.

Donald Trump didn't come up with the list of Muslim countries he wants to ban. Obama did.

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order Friday that would impose a 30-day ban on entry to the United States for visa holders from seven Muslim-majority countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

After word of Trump's pending executive order spread, the administration faced a lot of pushback — especially the early stages of his Muslim ban.

The executive order is widely viewed as the first step to fulfill a campaign promise to ban Muslims from immigrating to the United States.

"We are excluding certain countries," Trump said of visa issuances during a Wednesday interview with ABC News.

How, though, did the Trump administration choose these seven Muslim-majority countries? The truth is it didn't: The countries were chosen during Barack Obama's presidency.

According to the draft copy of Trump's executive order, the countries whose citizens are barred entirely from entering the United States is based on a bill that Obama signed into law in December 2015.

Obama signed the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act as part of an omnibus spending bill. The legislation restricted access to the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens from 38 countries who are visiting the United States for less than 90 days to enter without a visa.

Though outside groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union and NIAC Action — the sister organization of the National Iranian American Council — opposed the act, the bipartisan bill passed through Congress with little pushback.

At the initial signing of the restrictions, foreigners who would normally be deemed eligible for a visa waiver were denied if they had visited Iran, Syria, Sudan or Iraq in the past five years or held dual citizenship from one of those countries.

In February 2016, the Obama administration added Libya, Somali and Yemen to the list of countries one could not have visited — but allowed dual citizens of those countries who had not traveled there access to the Visa Waiver Program. Dual citizens of Syria, Sudan, Iraq and Iran are still ineligible, however.

So, in a nutshell, Obama restricted visa waivers for those seven Muslim-majority countries — Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen — and now, Trump is looking to bar immigration and visitors from the same list of countries.

Trump's use of a list created with Democrats' support is obviously geared toward a more nefarious end. A total visa-issuance moratorium is more severe than restricting visa waiver access. But the guilt-by-association of having a higher burden for entry at all underlies the bill Obama signed, too.

And one of the criticisms of Trump's reported proposal for the early stages of his Muslim ban — that it is security theater — is true of Obama curtailing visa wavers. Those restrictions were an early response to the San Bernardino shooting and Paris attacks, but in both cases the assailant were nationals of the countries in which they carried out such violence.

When the Trump administration announced its plans to issue the executive order, Sean Spicer told the White House press pool that people coming from the Middle East and Africa have a "predisposition" for terrorism. The visa waiver restriction, a bipartisan bill Obama signed into law, reinforces that same xenophobic sentiment.

Periaatteessa joo, mutta kun pitää tehdä tämmöisiä hallinnollisia päätöksiä, pitää käytännön syistä vetää mutkia suoriksi. Pitää punnita mitkä ovat ne hyödyt ja haitat sille, että kategorisesti kaikkien tietyn maan kansalaisten maahantulo estetään. Veikkaan että jenkit ei tässä kovin paljoa menetä. Tulijoiden joukossahan voi olla myös muutama aito koneinsinööri, mutta näiden helmien poimiminen joukosta olisi liian työlästä.

TENSIONS ACROSS AMERICA: Texas mosque burns down hours after Trump's Muslim ban imposed

A TEXAS mosque has been torched in a raging fire as the US deals with the fallout from President Donald Trump's Muslim ban.

The blaze broke out at the Islamic Centre of Victoria, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A clerk spotted the fire at 2am as smoke and flames billowed out of the building.

Firefighters arrived on scene and battled to get the fire under control for four hours.

Shahid Hashmi, the Islamic Center's president said: "It [the building] looks completely destroyed."

According to reports, the centre's Imam was awake in the early hours of Saturday morning and checked the surveillance cameras at the mosque.

He saw that the building was on fire and realised that the alarm had been deactivated.

Mr Hashmi added: "It's sad to stand there and watch it collapse down, the fire was so huge."

It is not known who or what started the fire at the 17-year-old mosque.

An investigation has been launched by The Texas Fire Marshall's office along with the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosions to determine the cause of the blaze.

Mr Hashimi said: "We don't have any lead or information as to what started the fire and what happened.

"So I'm sure it's going to be a few days, they told us, before they can come up with any answers for us."

A Go Fund Me Page that was set up to re-build the mosque has already received £132,024 ($165,677) in donations.

The fire came during heightened tensions gripped the US as it deals with the fallout from the president's ban on people travelling from Muslim countries.

The so called "Muslim ban" came into affect on Friday after Mr Trump signed an executive order to prevent people from mainly Islamic countries from entering America.

US border control is now forced to turn travellers away from Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Iran, Libya, Yemen and Somalia over the next 90 days.

It includes green card holders and visa-holders from those seven countries who cannot return to the U.S. for 90 days.

Syrian refuges have also been banned from the country indefinitely.

A series of protests have broken out at American airports in protest at the ban.

"No hate! No fear! Immigrants are welcome here," crowds chanted.

And, a federal judge in Brooklyn issued a nationwide, emergency stay on Saturday night to allow people with a valid visa to remain once they've landed in the US.

In the UK, an online petition has garnered 61,454 signatures (as of writing) urging the British government to bar President Trump's upcoming visit to England.

British Prime Minister Theresa May has slammed the ban and says she disagrees with it.

Syy tuohon taitaa olla siinä Islamissa.
Soinihan kääntyi katolliseksi kun kävi jossain Kesi-Euroopppalaisessa kirkossa ja haltioitui näkemästään. Jotenkin tuntuu että Soini on käynyt matkoillaa moskeijassa ja haltioitunut näkemästään eikä ole kertonut keille uskonnon vaihdosta.
Asia joka on tänä päivänä tabu on tuo uskonnon ja terrorismin korrelaatio. Täysin kiistaton tosiasia on että parin kolmen vuoden aikana ( Breivik jätetty pois) terrori-iskuissa kuolleet ovat saaneet surmansa islamistien tekemissä iskuissa eli kovan luokan terroristi on suurella todennäköisyydellä islamin uskoinen. Sama korrelaatio taitaa vallita myös siinä kuka riemuitsee ja ylistää terrori-iskuja. Sekin porukka on mitä todennäköisimmin islamin uskoista. Toisaalta porukka joka tuomitsee terrori-iskut ja paheksuu niitä on todennäköisesti valtaosin ei islamin uskoisia. Muistaakseni tuossa Trumpin listalla olevista valtioista yksikään ei valtio ei tuominnut WTC iskua valtiona kun sitä vastoin valtion sisällä riemuittiin. Mikään uskonto  ei lupaa paratiisipaikkaa syyttömiä lapsia ja naisia murhanneelle terroristille kuin islam jos teko on edistänyt islamia.
Ylipäätään koko islam ei varsinaisesti ole mikään uskonto vaan vahvasti uskonnollisesti värittynyt poliittinen suuntaus sharia-lakeineen.
Trum on uskaltanut tuoda esiin sen tosiasian että terrorismilla tai oikeastaan terroristeilla on vahva korrelaatio islamin uskoon jote tuo maahantulokielto on täysin looginen toimenpide terrorismin ehkäisyssä. Siitä tosin kärsii ihan tavalliset islamin uskoiset ihmiset mutta se voi myös ehkäistä terrori-iskuja. .

Nigel Farage puolusti tänään BBC:n tv-ohjelmassa maahantulokieltoa ja sanoi, että Iso-Britannian pitäisi seurata Trumpin esimerkkiä. Faragen mielestä Merkelin avoimien ovien politiikka on jättänyt Euroopan alttiiksi terrorismille.

Miksei meillä voi olla tällaisia Faragen kaltaisia poliitikkoja?

Mielestäni Trumpin pitäisi tosiaan laajentaa maahantulokieltoa myös Afganistaniin, Pakistaniin ja Saudi-Arabiaan (kts. uutisen loppu).

Britain should follow Donald Trump's lead and introduce 'extreme vetting' at the borders, Nigel Farage said today.

The former Ukip leader, a friend of the US President, defended the hugely controversial executive order that prevents anyone entering the US from seven Muslim majority countries for 90 days.

He said the US president is entitled to introduce the measures in a bid to crack down on any would-be jihadis entering the country.

Mr Farage, nicknamed 'Mr Brexit' by Mr Trump, blamed the ban - which has been condemned by leaders around the world, including Theresa May - on Germany's open-door policy towards refugees fleeing conflict in the Middle East.

Asked whether he agreed with President Trump's executive order, Mr Farage told BBC's Sunday Politics programme: 'Well I do, because I think if you just look at what is happening in France and Germany – if you look at Mrs Merkel's policy on this, which was to allow anybody virtually from anywhere – look where it's led to.'

He added that President Trump was elected 'to get tough, he was elected to say he will do everything within his power to protect America from infiltration by Isis terrorists.

'Now there are seven countries on that list, he is entitled to do this, he was voted in on this.'

Mr Farage, who has previously called for Syrian refugees to be allowed into Britain, said he now agrees with Mr Trump's policy.

He suggested German Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door refugee policy has left Europe vulnerable to terrorism.

He said: 'I mean frankly since I made those comments we had the Merkel madness, and I think Trump's policy in many ways has been shaped by what Mrs Merkel did.

'He is fully entitled to do this, and as far as we are concerned in this country, yes I would like to see extreme vetting.'

Mr Farage is alone in defending President Trump's travel ban on Muslims. Theresa May condemned the ban after facing a furious backlash for refusing three times to do so yesterday.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has hit out at President Trump, saying it was 'divisive and wrong to stigmatise because of nationality'.

He promised to 'protect the rights and freedoms of UK nationals home and abroad' after the US ban triggered travel chaos for British travellers.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Lib Dem leader Tim Farron have called for Mr Trump's planned state visit to the UK later this year to be cancelled. 

More than 100,000 people have already signed a petition on the Government's website demanding President Trump be prevented from making a state visit.

The petition, which could be debated by MPs, says 'he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen'.

Nigel Farage puolusti tänään BBC:n tv-ohjelmassa maahantulokieltoa ja sanoi, että Iso-Britannian pitäisi seurata Trumpin esimerkkiä. Faragen mielestä Merkelin avoimien ovien politiikka on jättänyt Euroopan alttiiksi terrorismille.

Miksei meillä voi olla tällaisia Faragen kaltaisia poliitikkoja?

Mielestäni Trumpin pitäisi tosiaan laajentaa maahantulokieltoa myös Afganistaniin, Pakistaniin ja Saudi-Arabiaan (kts. uutisen loppu).

Luulin, että hyvien suhteiden ylläpito USA:han on ainoa asia, jonka pökäle osaa hoitaa hyvin.

Selkeästi Orpolta on käynyt käsky, että Suomi seisoo federalistisen arwoyhteisön kanssa tiiviissä rintamassa tässäkin. Ja mitäpä siihen, siihenkään, on sanomista. Palkka juoksee ja tuplajuustoburgerit on hyviä.

Vastakkainasettelun hakeminen USA:ta vastaan horjuvan federalistieliitin puolella on älytöntä jo sen vuoksi, että nehän ovat nimenomaan USA:n aseet, joihin Suomen turvallisuus viime kädessä nojaa. EU:n pellehermanneista ei tosipaikan tullen olisi mihinkään. Korkeintaan voisivat vastalauseellaan lykätä Suomen valloitusta noin tunnin verran, kun Putler ei huutonaurultaan saisi annettua hyökkäyskäskyä.

Tosiaan tuohon listaan pitäisi ehdottomasti lisätä Afganistan, Pakistan ja Saudi-Arabia. Kaksi ensimmäistä siihen voitaisiin ihan helposti lisätä, mutta Saudi-Arabian kohdalla se olisi vastoin USA:n omia intressejä, ja saattaisi aiheuttaa isojakin ongelmia.

Täytyy muistaa, että tämä kielto tulee olemaan vain määräaikainen, mutta se lähettää vahvan signaalin muslimeille, että heitä ei haluta sinne. Myös tuon kiellon jälkeen jokainen ihan työperäisestikin jenkkeihin muuttamassa oleva muslimi tulee miettimään tarkkaan, että kannattaako sinne mennä. Ainakin niin kauan kuin Trump on vallassa.
