Akkukemikaaleja valmistava kiinalainen Ningbo Shanshan aikoo rakentaa Suomeen suuren mittaluokan akkukemikaalitehtaan.

Shanshan kertoo pörssitiedotteessaan, että investoinnin arvo olisi 1,28 miljardia euroa. Suunniteltua sijaintia Suomessa ei ole tarkennettu.

Suomen eduksi hankkeessa kerrotaan edullinen sähkön hinta ja hyvät meriyhteydet. Tehtaan tuotanto kuljetettaisiin meriteitse yhtiön asiakkaille Länsi- ja Keski-Eurooppaan. Asiakkaita yhtiö kerro.

Tarkoituksena on, että yhtiö valmistaisi 100 000 tonnia litium-akuissa tarvittavaa anodimateriaalia. Tuotanto olisi tarkoitus käynnistää kahdessa yhtä suuressa vaiheessa. Molemmat rakennusvaiheet kestäisivät kaksi vuotta.

Business Finlandin (BF) puhtaan teknologian investointihankkeista vastaava Markku Kivistö sanoo tuntevansa toimijan.

Kivistön mukaan Shanshanin tehdas olisi Euroopan suurimpia.

Virkamiehet, poliitikot ja valtion omistamissa yhtiöissä työskentelevät on mukana näissä vedätyksissä. Ihmiset ei yksinkertaisesti voi olla näin tyhmiä. Vuodesta ja vuosikymmenestä toiseen samat vedätykset menee läpi. Käärmeöljy-vittuset vedättää, ottaa rahoja ja teettää heille ilmaista valmistelutyötä. Suomalaisten omaisuutta Annetaan ulkomaalaisille yhtiöille rahantekokoneiksi ja joskus vielä laitetaan reilusti tukia perään, että uuden omistajan viimeinenkin riski poistuu.

Suomi on jonkinlainen "uussiirtymätalous." Kaikki on alennusmyynnissä, virkamieskunta sekä poliitikot mukana ja oikeusjärjestelmä vain katselee hyväksyen päältä. Tällaista kuppausta ei ole Euroopassa nähty sitten Neuvostoliiton hajoamisen ja siitä seuranneen omaisuuden uusjaon entisissä neuvostotasavalloissa ja kansandemokratioissa.

Ryöstäminen ja korruptio on sama, mutta yhteiskunnan suunta toinen. Silloin kuljettiin totalitarismista vapauteen, nyt vapaaehtoisesti vapaudesta totalitarismiin.

Voihan tuossa olla, että Kiina alkaa nähdä Suomen jo kolmantena maana. Täällä on paljon työttömiä, joita voi laittaa litiumhöyryiseen halliin orjapalkalla. Täällä on paljon jokia, joilla voi huuhdella litiumkennoja ja laittaa jätevedet kiertoon.

Suomi on stabiili tasavalta, jossa kansainvälisesti katsoen palkkataso on sellainen, että tänne alkaa kiinat ja kumppanit tuoda nimenomaan bulkkityötä, joka alkaa muualla olla liian kallista. Ja jossain Afrikassa se on poliittisesti epävarmaa. Koska tahansa joku Boko Padam voi tulla ja vetää tehtaan tai sen työväen sileäksi tai kaapata kaikki tehtaan naiset seksiorjikseen.

Kunnon konsernikikkailija ei myöskään maksa euroakaan yritysveroa. Vihreän teräksen jättitehdas synnyttäisi jopa 5 000 työpaikkaa – Aikataulu lykkääntyi taas

INKOOSEEN Länsi-Uudellemaalle suunniteltu jättimäinen vihreän teräksen tehdas synnyttäisi Suomeen työtä yhteensä 5 600 henkilötyövuoden verran ja toisi valtion kassaan verotuloja noin 300 miljoonaa euroa vuodessa.

Näin tiedotti hanketta ajava norjalainen Blastr Green Steel -yhtiö tilaisuudessaan Inkoossa tiistaina. Laskelmat tehdashankkeen talousvaikutuksista teki konsulttiyhtiö Ramboll.

Laskelma 5 600 henkilötyövuodesta perustuu tuotantolaitoksen taloudessa synnyttämiin kerrannaisvaikutuksiin, kuten alihankkijoihin ja palveluihin.

Suoria työpaikkoja tehdas toisi nykysuunnitelmien mukaan hieman alle tuhat. Luku on laskenut jonkin verran alun perin ilmoitetusta.

Tehdas olisi toteutuessaan yksi Suomen suurimmista teollisista investoinneista koskaan. Sen hintalappu on neljä miljardia euroa.

"Jos näitä vihreän siirtymän investointeja ei saada tällaisissa paikoissa aloitettua, silloin tämä menee todella vaikeaksi", Kaikkonen totesi.

KAIKKOSEN esitykseen oli piilotettu myös uutinen: tavoiteaikataulua on jälleen lykätty.

"Tavoitteena on, että tehdas on täydessä tuotannossa vuosikymmenen loppuun mennessä", Kaikkonen sanoi.

Kun Blastr ilmoitti hankkeestaan tammikuussa 2023, aikeena oli aloittaa tuotanto jo vuonna 2026. Kun HS uutisoi ympäristövaikutusten arvioinnin aloittamisesta elokuussa 2023, yhtiö tarkensi, että tavoitevuosi tuotannon aloittamiselle on 2027.

Nyt siis puhutaan vuosikymmenen lopusta.

Norjan pellettilaitos tuottaisi raaka-ainetta Inkoon-tehtaalle.

Blastrin mukaan investointipäätös Norjan tehtaasta tehdään vuonna 2025, mikäli tarvittavat luvat ja sopimukset on saatu. Alustavien suunnitelmien mukaan tehtaan on määrä aloittaa tuotanto vuonna 2028.

Inkoon osalta yhtiö kertoi aiemmin, että tuotanto voisi alkaa jo vuonna 2026.

Blastr Green Steelin Inkoon hanke etenee suunnitelmien mukaisesti. Business case perustuu siihen, että terästeollisuuden päästöt pitää saada alas ja tulevaisuudessa päästöistä pitää maksaa. Inkoossa rautamalmipelletit tullaan pelkistämään puhtaan vedyn avulla, joka minimoi CO2 päästöt. Blastrin tavoitteena on 90% pienempi hiilijalanjälki keskimääräiseen eurooppalaiseen terästuotantoon verrattuna. Tämä pitää sisällään sekä suorat että epäsuorat päästöt (scope 1-3). Hanke rahoitetaan osissa sitä mukaan kuin lisärahoitusta tarvitaan. Hanke tuo seutukunnalle ja laajemmin Suomeen uusia työpaikkoja ja kipeästi kaivattuja verotuloja

Perusongelma on, että vaikea saada kannattavaksi ellei valtio tue 2-3 miljardilla. Rahaa nyt vaan ei ole mihinkään ja Intia, Kiina ja Yhdysvallat tuottavat fossiilipohjaista terästä halvalla ja niihin perustuvia tuotteita sitten meille.

Norjassa on öljyrahasto, joka sijoittaa, merivettä vedyn valmistamiseen ja sähkö halvempaa kuin Suomessa, eikä niin paljon kiinni tuurisähkössä.

Jos Blastrin vihreän teräksen tehdas todella toteutuu, se rakennetaan tälle Fortumin entisen kivihiilitehtaan tontille Inkoon Joddböleen. Tontin etuja ovat syväsatama ja jo olemassa olevat vahvat sähkön siirtoyhteydet.

En tiennytkään, että Fortum on aiemmin valmistanut Suomessa kivihiiltä.

Nocart on lahtelainen, vuonna 2010 perustettu uusiutuvaan energiaan ja paikallisiin energialähteisiin pohjaustuvia energiaratkaisuja ja voimaloita suunnitteleva ja toteuttava suomalainen teollisuusyritys. Keväällä 2016 uutisoitiin yhtiön solmineen toimitussopimukset kahden aurinkoenergiavoimalan toimittamisesta Malawiin ja yhden Nigeriaan. [4][3] Tammikuussa 2017 yhtiö kertoi hybridivoimalan toimittamisesta Sambian Läntisen maakunnan Shangombon piirikuntaan.[5] Yrityksellä on ollut energiahankkeita myös Nepaliin ja Keniaan.[4][3]

Vuonna 2018 yritys ajautui taloudellisiin vaikeuksiin, kun paljastui että merkittävä osa sen liikevaihdosta perustui myyntisaamisiin todellisen kassavirran ollessa vähäistä.[6][7][8] Keskinäinen työeläkevakuutusyhtiö Varma jätti Nocartista konkurssihakemuksen 3. elokuuta, mutta hakemus peruttiin 13. elokuuta yhtiön maksettua velkansa.[9]

Nocart hakeutui konkurssiin 31.10.2018.[10]

Wittusen lähtee – Blastr siirtyy Bula-aikaan

Inkoon vihreän terästehtaan hankkeen johtaja vaihtuu. Hanke viivästyy monta vuotta.

Vihreää terästehdasta Inkooseen suunnittelevan Blastr Green Steelin (Blastr) konsernijohtaja Hans Fredrik Wittusen jättää yhtiön. Blastr kertoi asiasta tiedotteella tänään.
Uusi toimitusjohtaja on Mark Bula, jota Blastr kuvaa "globaalin terästeollisuuden konkariksi.

Hankkeen terästehdas on suunnitteilla Inkooseen.
Asiasta uutisoitiin torvet soiden tammikuussa 2023. Tuotannon oli määrä alkaa vuoden 2026 lopulla.

Yksi työntäyteinen viikko jälleen takana Blastr Green Steel Inkoon hankkeen edistämiseksi.
Kumppanitapaamisia ja hankekehitystä tiimin kanssa pitkin viikkoa.
Tiistaina sain kunnian puhua puhtaasta siirtymästä terästeollisuuden näkökulmasta asiantuntevalle yleisölle Energiateollisuus ry – Finnish Energy Energia akatemiassa. Tärkeää keskustelua teollisuuden dekarbonisaatiosta, vedyn roolista ja sähkömarkkinasta.
Keskiviikkona vierailimme Hangossa ja Raaseporissa; kiitos tuestanne Ståhl Petra ja Petra Theman tai "Dupont ja Dupond" kuten itse sanotte😊 Blastrin Inkoon hanke on seutukunnallinen ja tuo elinvoimaisuutta alueen kaikkiin kuntiin ja kaupunkeihin.
Torstaina Fortum järjesti Inkoon kuntapäättäjille vierailun Joddbölen teollisuusalueelle ja ympäristöministeri Kai Mykkänen sekä seutukunnan kuntien edustajia osallistui päivän ohjelmaan. Tilaisuudessa Blastr esitteli Inkoon hankkeen tilannekuvaa tulevan toimitusjohtajamme Mark Bula johdolla. Hankekehityksen edetessä olemme pystyneet merkittävästi laskemaan tehtaan päästöjä YVA-ohjelmassa esitetyistä luvuista – ja työ tältä osin jatkuu.
Viikon lopuksi avattiin "kesä"mökkikausi kauniissa Inkoon saaristossa, tulevan terästehtaan naapurissa. Yöllä on satanut lunta mutta sähköllä tuvan saa lämpimäksi ja saunan klapeilla jopa kuumaksi. Tärkeintä on asenne ja tietysti seura.

Blastr's incoming CEO Mark Bula met Minister of Climate and the Environment Kai Mykkänen and Member of Parliament Henrik Wickström yesterday in Joddböle at Fortum's invitation. Blastr is planning to build an ultra-low CO₂ steel factory in Joddböle.

Joddböle has been an industrial site since the 1940s. Until recently it was the home of the largest coal-fired power plant in the Nordics. Joddböle is an ideal and unique location for producing ultra-low CO₂ steel products. The site provides strong grid connection for clean electricity, deep and ice-free harbor as well as short access to the attractive and growing European market of low emission steel. During the event, Blastr also announced updated emissions modeling that show the plant's emissions to be 53 percent lower than previously estimated.

Blastr Green Steel and Cargill sign a pioneering framework agreement to
accelerate the radical decarbonization of the steel value chain
Oslo, Norway, 4
th July, 2023. Blastr Green Steel AS ("Blastr"), a leading developer of ultra-low
C02 steel products, and Cargill, a leading player along the global ferrous supply chain, have
today signed a strategic framework agreement (the "Agreement") reflecting a strong joint
commitment to realize the Blastr Green Steel Project to radically decarbonize steel production.
The Agreement covers multiple parts of Blastr's integrated value chain, including supply of iron
ore, offtake, products sale, logistics, and financial services, as well as a USD 10 million equity
commitment by Cargill in Blastr's planned Series A financing round.

The Agreement builds on the close relationship developed between Cargill and Blastr over the past
year, centered on Blastr's plan for an integrated green steel value chain which has the potential to
deliver more than 90% reduction of Scope 1-3 C02 emissions* per tonne of steel. It will enable a
unique, profitable business model with a record low CO2 footprint for industrial-scale steel
production and a platform for further growth. Blastr is initially developing a 6 million tons (Mt) DRgrade pellets plant and a 2.5 Mt direct reduced iron (DRI-EAF) steel plant with own green hydrogen
production.
The Agreement covers the supply of iron ore to the Blastr Pellet Plant, offtake and selling of Direct
Reduction (DR) pellets, Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) and ultra-low CO2 steel products, scrap sourcing,
green shipping and logistical solutions, and working capital and risk management services.
"Today's Agreement demonstrates our shared ambition of realizing Blastr Green Steel vision to
enable significant reductions of CO2 emissions along the steel value chain. We are very pleased to
further strengthen our collaboration with Cargill and enter into a long-term strategic collaboration,
with them also becoming a shareholder. Cargill's access to raw materials and end-customers,
combined with innovative trading, shipping, and offtake solutions, bring us a giant leap forward in
realizing green steel production at scale", says Blastr Green Steel CEO, Hans Fredrik Wittusen.
As part of the Agreement, Blastr and Cargill have signed a convertible loan agreement for USD 3
million, which brings the Cargill equity investment in Blastr´s Series A financing, planned for the
second half of 2023, to a total of USD 10 million. Cargill will further support Blastr in developing

and commercializing ultra-low CO2 steel products for the European market, and the Parties will
continue to apply their respective capabilities to accelerate the development of Blastr Green Steel.

Agreement expected to help accelerate global ferrous supply chain decarbonization
Stockholm, June 19, 2023 – Cargill (Cargill Metals) has entered into a multi-year agreement with Swedish industrial startup H2 Green Steel for the supply of green steel.

Cargill joins a growing list of customers of H2 Green Steel, further validating the demand for near-zero emission steel. The agreement marks another major step for Cargill toward its vision to shape a responsible and sustainable ferrous supply chain that helps the world thrive.
"Today's announcement marks another strategic milestone in advancing our sustainability goals," said Lee Kirk, managing director, Cargill Metals, "Our customers are already signaling significant interest in low CO2 steel. H2 Green Steel is one of the first out of the starting blocks in producing green steel at scale."

Cargill Metals connects different parts of the ferrous supply chain, from iron ore miners to steel mills around the world. The company is committed to delivering on its sustainability goals through a variety of initiatives, including partnerships that develop cleaner products with lower CO2-footprint. The agreement with H2 Green Steel is an example of such a partnership where Cargill will help its customers meet their sustainability and climate goals with a sustainable and responsible supply of products.

H2 Green Steel was launched in 2021 to accelerate the decarbonization of hard to abate industries. Starting with steel - one of the heaviest polluting industries - the company is building a green field steel plant in Boden which will run on renewable electricity. The plant will produce its own green hydrogen in a giga-scale electrolyzer, which in turn will reduce iron ore to green sponge iron through direct reduction. The green sponge iron will feed the green steel process achieving emission reductions of up to 95 percent compared to traditional steelmaking with coke and coal in a blast furnace.

Uusi johtaja Yhdysvalloista hankkimaan rahoitusta
Blastrin uusi konser­ni­johtaja Mark Bula on toiminut teräs­te­ol­li­suuden parissa 35 vuotta. Viimeiset kaksi vuotta Bula on työskennellyt vihreän teräksen hankkeen parissa Yhdysvalloissa ja hän on ollut käynnistämässä teräs­teh­das­hank­keita Yhdysvalloissa. Bula kertoi tuovansa tietotaitoa Yhdysvalloista siitä, miten terästä voidaan tehdä tehokkaasti uudella tavalla ja vähäisillä päästöillä.

Bula on varttunut Pittsburghissa, joka on Yhdysvaltojen teräs­pää­kau­punki. Ennen siirtymistään Blastrille hän on toiminut johtajana H2 Green Steelissä Ruotsissa ja eri johto­teh­tä­vissä Big River Steelissä.

Bula kertoi, että hankkeen rahoittaminen tulee olemaan haastavaa ja että rahoituksen saamiseen kuluu yleensä enemmän aikaa kuin itse tehtaan rakentamiseen. Bula kertoi, että hankkeella on jo tällä hetkellä 5-6 ydinra­hoit­tajaa, joista tullaan tiedottamaan tarkemmin myöhemmin ensimmäisen rahoi­tus­kier­roksen päättyessä.

Last Thursday Blastr organized an info evening for locals at Hembygdsgården in Inkoo. Blastr's CEO Mark Bula welcomed all participants, together with County manager Antti Kaikkonen, COO Viktor Forss and CTO Mikael Lindvall. Experts Samuel Rintamäki from Ramboll and Tapio Lukkari, Elias Pentti and Kaisa Vähänen from AFRY, and Aija Aunio from Ingå kommun - Inkoon kunta presented the economic impact of the project, noise and emission modeling, and how the zoning for the project area is progressing.

Thank you to everyone who attended the townhall and engaged in the discussion! The project will bring economic wellbeing to the area, while tackling one of the key tasks to mitigate climate change - decarbonizing steel.

H2 Green Steel signs definitive debt financing agreements for €4.2 billion in project financing and increases the previously announced equity raised by €300 million. Total equity funding to date amounts to €2.1 billion. The company has also been awarded a €250 million grant from the EU Innovation Fund. H2 Green Steel has now secured funding of close to €6.5 billion for the world's first large-scale green steel plant in Northern Sweden.

H2 Green Steel is driving one of the largest climate impact initiatives globally. The company was founded in 2020 with the purpose to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries, starting by producing steel with up to 95% lower CO2 emissions than steel made with coke-fired blast furnaces. The construction of the flagship green steel plant in Boden, with integrated green hydrogen and green iron production, is well under way. The supply contracts for the hydrogen-, iron- and steel equipment are in place. A large portion of the electricity needed has been secured in long-term power purchase agreements, and half of the initial yearly volumes of 2.5 million tonnes of near zero steel have been sold in binding five- to seven-year customer agreements. 

Today H2 Green Steel announces a massive milestone on its journey to accelerate the decarbonization of the steel industry, which is still one of the world's dirtiest. The company has signed debt financing of €4.2 billion, added equity of close to €300 million and been awarded a €250 million grant from the Innovation Fund. Funding amounts to €6.5 billion in total. 

H2 Green Steel has signed definitive financing documentation for €3.5 billion in senior debt and an up-to-€600 million junior debt facility: 

Consistent with project financings, international banks providing the senior debt will be lending in part under cover provided by Riksgälden (Swedish National Debt Office), as a green credit guarantee and Euler Hermes as an export credit cover for €1.2 billion each. The guarantees cover 80% and 95% of the loan amount respectively, and are provided in accordance with market pricing.

The group of over 20 lenders includes Svensk Exportkredit (SEK) and the European Investment Bank together with commercial banks, led by BNP Paribas, ING, KfW IPEX-Bank, Societe Generale and UniCredit. 

The junior debt consortium is led by AIP Management and comprises European and international investment banks and funds. 

H2 Green Steel has also raised close to €300 million more in equity, bringing the private placement in the project to a total of €2.1 billion. New shareholders include Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund, Mubea and Siemens Financial Services. Additionally, IMAS Foundation and Just Climate are some of the existing shareholders which are increasing their investments in H2 Green Steel. 

In September 2023, H2 Green Steel announced it had raised €1.5 billion in equity, making it the largest private placement round in 2023 in Europe. Before that, the company closed its series A equity round of €86 million in May 2021 and announced the close of its series B1 round of €260 million in October 2022. 

H2 Green Steel has also signed a €250 million grant agreement under the Innovation Fund through the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The Innovation Fund is financed by the European Union's Emissions Trading System and supports innovative projects that aim to speed up decarbonization of European industry and accelerate the green transition.

Miksi poliitikot lähtevät aina näihin selkeisiin kusetus hankkeisiin? Mikä siinä on niin vaikeaa olla havaitsematta epätervettä ja outoa hanketta.

Näissä hankkeissa on vahva korruption maku. Rahojen työntäminen ilmiselvään konkurssipesään ei voi perustua muuhun kun jonkinlaisiin palkintovirkoihin tai muuhun voiteluun.

Jostain syystä näitä "investointeja" on aina junailemassa kokkarit, joista mm. ns. UMTS-kaupat ( https://www.kaleva.fi/suomen-katastrofaalisin-kauppa-jokainen-suomalaine/1881669 ) on hyvä esimerkki.

Jonne ei ehkä muista mutta vuonna 2000 valtion omistama Sonera (ent. Tele) päätti upottaa miljardeja ns. UMTS verkkoliikennelisensseihin Saksassa. Muistan elävästi miten kokkarien ministerit Ville Itälä ja Sauli Niinistö Lipposen hallituksessa paasasivat julkisuudessa mikä loistobisnes UMTS-lisenssit olisivat. Hanketta runnottiin läpi kun käärmettä pyssyyn kun sen väitettiin olevan seuraava Nokia.

Hanke oli tuomittu epäonnistumaan koska UMTS-tekniikka oli vain välivaiheen teknologia, joka vanhenisi äkkiä eikä absurdia yli 4 miljardin euron summaa mitenkään voinut perustella Saksan verkkoliikenteen odotetuilla tuotoilla. Kilpailijoita oli mutakin ja 4 miljardia oli hinta pelkälle lisenssille, jonka lisäksi pitäisi upottaa miljardeja verkon rakentamiseen.

Wittusen teräksestä uhkaa tulla samanlainen megafiasko kun UMTS. Nyt kuten silloin, päättäjät lankesivat euforiaan, jossa raha mukamas sataa sisään ja Suomesta tullee jälleen kerran maailman johtotähti. Puuhamiehinä ovat jälleen kokkarien ministerit, jotka ovat tunkemassa rahaa teknologiaan, joka ei mitenkään tule skaalautumaan ja jonka tuotteille ei ole olemassa markkinoita missään. Talous puuttuu tästä kuviosta kokonaan.

Jos hanke on niin kannattava kun väitetään, yksityinen raha löytää tiensä siihen helposti eikä valtiolla ole mitään tarvetta sijoittaa verovaroja korkeariskiseen hankkeeseen.

Täyttää ihan klassisen kusetuksen tunnusmerkit. Kun höynäytettävältä on saatu alkuun nyhdettyä muutama milli, on jatkossa suurempi kynnys vetäytyä kokonaan hankkeesta ja sen jatkorahoituksesta.  Tämä ei tule päättymään hyvin.
