German police need 24 patrol cars to stop fight between two Turkish families

A fight between around 40 people from two Turkish families took place in the German town of Pinneberg. Seven arrests were made and six people were brought to hospital, broadcaster NDR reports.

When police officials arrived at around 7:00 pm, roughly ten people were beating each other, the spokesman said. The other family members came later and "attacked each other", as well.

Some of the participants were armed with knives, truncheons and pepper spray. During the police intervention, the control centre called a total of 24 patrol cars from Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg to the location of the massive brawl.

Two people were severely injured by blows or knife wounds, three were slightly injured. In addition, another person suffered a heart attack.

All the injured were taken to hospitals, according to the police spokesman. During the operation, a police officer was also slightly injured. An attacker had bitten him.

After initial investigation, the police suspect a family dispute as the trigger of the fight between the two families of Turkish descent.

Itävallan Steyrissä 20 afgaania kävi raivokasta reviiritaistelua kirveellä ja kepeillä aseistautuneina.

Österreich-lehti kertoo, että Steyrissä 21-vuotias afgaaniturvapaikanhakija sai vastaansa joukon toisia afganistanilaisia turvapaikanhakijoita. Afgaanijoukkio vaati, että 21-vuotiaan tulee poistua heidän alueeltaan.

21-vuotias afgaani ilmoitti alueella asuvalle kaverilleen tilanteesta, joka soitti paikalle omia kavereitaan.

Lopputuloksena oli taistelu kahden afgaanijoukkion välillä. 21-vuotiaan joukkiossa oli 5 afgaania ja alunperin reviiriään puolustaneessa joukkiossa 15 afgaania.

Taistelun laannuttua afgaaniviisikko poistui taksilla paikalta. Pian taistelun toinen osapuoli saapui viisikon määränpäähän autoilla. Nämä afgaanit olivat aseistautuneina kirveellä ja kepeillä. Kirvestä ei afgaanien "jatkosodassa" käytetty, mutta kaksi afgaania kuitenkin loukkaantui.

Loukkaantuneet vietiin sairaalahoitoon. Poliisi tutkii tapahtumia.

Four injured as Afghan asylum-seeker launches knife rampage in sleepy French town

An Afghan asylum-seeker has been arrested after injuring four people in a drunken and frenzied knife attack in a sleepy French town.

The incident began last night with the 19-year-old man, who is said to have psychological problems, lashing out at cars outside his home in Perigueux, in the country's south west.

He was seen 'kicking and banging a first vehicle with his feet and fists, then a second' and also 'rounding on female motorists', according to the head of the ambulance service for the area, Jean-Jacques Girard.

Two paramedics who witnessed the incident tried to calm the man down but after disappearing inside his home he returned with a knife and attacked them, leaving them with injuries to the head and neck.

He then turned on two brothers aged 64 and 68 living next door, leaving one with a perforated lung and the other with stab wounds to the back.

The man was eventually overpowered by one of the brothers and a man of Cameroonian origin, who stepped in to help wrestle his knife away.

Police arrested the man and placed him in custody on charges of aggravated violence.

They ruled out any terrorist motive.

Asylum seeker sentenced to jail over stabbings in south-west France

A young Afghan asylum seeker on Friday was handed a three-year prison sentence, and a one-year suspended sentence, for aggravated assault in the south-western French city of Perigueux.

The 19-year-old has been banned from the south-western Dordogne region for a period of five years.

The Perigueux public prosecutors' office told AFP he will be transferred elsewhere in France to serve his sentence.

The Afghan asylum seeker had been in police custody in Perigueux, where he stabbed four people on Monday, leaving one critically injured. He was held on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication.

The young man was drunk when he went on his stabbing attack. He has claimed he does not remember what happened, according to AFP.

Public prosecutors have said they "quickly ruled out" a terrorist motive at the beginning of the investigation.

Local media has reported that the 19-year-old, who had no previous criminal record, suffers from mental health problems.

The mayor of Offenburg has cautioned against anti-migrant sentiment after a doctor was reportedly stabbed to death in his own surgery by an asylum seeker, with his 10-year-old daughter forced to watch.

In what was a seemingly unprovoked attack, a 26-year-old Somali man is reported to have stormed a family doctor's surgery at 8:45 a.m. without an appointment and stabbed the doctor, named by local media only as Joachim T., who died in one of the practice rooms shortly after.

The migrant also attacked and wounded a medical assistant named as Elke D. before fleeing the scene, where a knife was found by police.

Statistics obtained by The Mail on Sunday show a suspected criminal from overseas was detained on average every three minutes last year.

In total, 172,732 – 19 per cent – of the 931,155 people arrested in 2016-17 were foreign nationals.

Lääkäri raiskasi koneisiin kytketyn potilaan USA:ssa - vältti vankilan, sai kymmenen vuotta ehdollista


Oikeus totesi lääkäri Shafeeq Sheikhin syylliseksi raiskaukseen, mutta ei tuominnut miestä maksimirangaistukseen, vaan kymmeneksi vuodeksi ehdolliseen vankeuteen.

Maksimirangaistus raiskauksesta Texasissa olisi ollut 20 vuotta vankeutta. Päin vastoin kuin monissa muissa osavaltioioissa, valamiehillä on Texasissa valta päättää rangaistuksista.

Valamiehistön Shafeeq Sheikhille, 46, perjantaina antama kymmenen vuoden ehdollinen vankeusrangaistus on hämmästyttänyt asianajajia, lainvartijoita ja raiskauksen uhreja edustavia järjestöjä.

Sheikh myönsi oikeudenkäynnissä harrastaneensa seksiä yövuoronsa aikana Ben Taubin sairaalassa vuonna 2013 potilaana olleen naisen kanssa. Sheikhin mukaan seksiin oli kuitenkin kummankin osapuolen suostumus. Nainen ei ollut Sheikhin potilas.

Astmakohtauksen takia sairaalahoidossa ollut nainen, 32, oli kytketty koneisiin ja hänelle oli annettu rauhoittavaa lääkitystä. Uhrin mukaan tuntematon lääkäri oli tullut hänen huoneeseensa kolmesti yön aikana, kosketellut hänen rintojaan ja raiskannut hänet viimeisen käyntinsä yhteydessä.

Uhri ei pystynyt taistelemaan vastaan, mutta yritti hälyttää apua. Hälytysnappi oli kuitenkin pois päältä.

Britannian hallitus on ottanut Birminghamin vankilan takaisin hallintaansa tarkastuksen paljastettua suuria puutteita laitoksen ylläpidossa. Englannin keskiosissa sijaitsevan 1 200 paikkaisen vankilan toiminta oli aikaisemmin yksityistetty G4S-turvallisuusyhtiölle.

Tarkastuskäynnin yhteydessä paljastui, että vangit saivat käyttää huumeita ja väkivaltaa lähes vapaasti. Vankilaan tarkastamaan tulleiden viranomaisten autot sytytettiin tulee parkkipaikalla. Sisätiloissa tarkastajat alkoivat oirehtia kaikkialla leijuvasta huumausaineiden kärystä.

– Tämä on ainoa vankila, mistä olen joutunut itse poistumaan osastolta, koska huumeet alkoivat vaikuttaa minuun. Se oli rehellisesti sanottuna täysin naurettavaa, ylitarkastaja Peter Clark kertoi BBC:lle.

Myös vankilan fyysiset puitteet olivat retuperällä. Tarkastajat löysivät vankilan lattialta oksennusta, verta ja rottien ulosteita.

Clarkin mukaan vankilan henkilökuntaa oli erityisen vaikea löytää, sillä he olivat lukinneet itsensä toimistoihin välttääkseen vankien kohtaamista. Joskus tarkastajat löysivät nukkuvia vartioita.

Britanniassa vankeinhoitoa ryhdyttiin ulkoistamaan 1990-luvun alkupuolella. Tällä hetkellä maassa toimii 16 yksityistä vankilaa. Vuonna 2011 G4S-yritys sai 15 vuoden mittaisen sopimuksen Birminghamin vankilan ylläpidosta.

Britannian hallitus on nyt ilmoittanut ottavansa vankilan hallintaasa aluksi kuudeksi kuukaudeksi, lisäävänsä laitoksen henkilökuntaa ja siirtävänsä 300 vankia muualle. Kyseessä on tiettävästi ensimmäinen kerta, kun sopimus vankilan ylläpidosta on jouduttu purkamaan ennen aikojaan.

Sixteen men jailed for combined total of more than 49 years' for drug supply offences in Tower Hamlets (17.8.2018)

Sixteen men have been jailed today, Friday, 17 August, for a combined total of more than 49 years' imprisonment for numerous drug supply offences in Tower Hamlets following a four-month covert surveillance operation.

The men, who were sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court, were convicted following a series of raids and arrests made in June and July in east London. This comes as part of a long-term crackdown on the supply of drugs, violence and anti-social behaviour in the Whitechapel area.

The operation, known as 'Continuum' is a partnership operation between police Tower Hamlets Council and local housing associations.

A total of 49 individuals have been charged in connection with the investigation, and over the past two months, 32 men and three male youths have pleaded guilty to over 70 drug offences.

An additional 10 individuals arrested in connection with the investigation have been released on bail. A male (no details) arrested today, Friday 17 August, remains in custody.

More than 300 officers were involved in the raids, led by Tower Hamlets officers, with additional support from the Territorial Support Group (TSG), surrounding boroughs and the Met's Dog Unit.

During searches of more than 50 addresses, officers seized over £60,000 in cash, over half kilo of Class A drugs and four stun-guns.

Afganistanilaissyntyinen mies sai teostaan elinkautisen vankeustuomion.

Itävallassa afganistanilaissyntyinen mies on tuomittu elinkautiseen vankeuteen siskonsa surmaamisesta teräaseella syyskuussa 2017. Mies on tunnustanut teon.

- Minä tunnustan, mies sanoi itävaltalaisen Kurier-lehden mukaan oikeudessa tiistaina.

Hän ei halunnut selittää tekoaan tarkemmin, mutta pyysi rikostaan anteeksi. Hän kertoi aloittaneensa teon "kulttuurin vuoksi".

Tapauksessa annettiin tuomio keskiviikkona. Tuomio ei ole lainvoimainen.

Tuomittu on asunut Itävallassa oman kertomuksensa mukaan viiden vuoden ajan. Syyttäjät lähtivät olettamuksesta, että kyseessä oli kunniamurha. Tuomitun näkemyksen mukaan pikkusisko oli loukannut perheen kunniaa.

Oikeudessa käsiteltiin pitkällisesti syytetyn ikää: hän on kertonut olleensa tekohetkellä 19-vuotias, mutta oikeuslääketieteellisten tutkimusten perusteella hän oli vähintään 21 vuotta ja kolme kuukautta vanha, mutta todennäköisesti 22-vuotias.

- Tämän iän (19) ovat vanhempani minulle sanoneet. Se hyväksyttiin myös täällä, syytetty sanoi.

Ikä ei ollut merkityksetön asia, sillä se vaikutti tuomion pituuteen. Oikeus katsoi, että syytetty oli teon tehdessään yli 21-vuotias, mikä mahdollisti elinkautisen vankeustuomion.

Puolustusasianajaja oli vaatinut, että syytettyä kohdeltaisiin henkilöpapereissa olevan iän mukaisesti, jolloin 19-vuotiaana tehdystä murhasta voisi saada enimmillään 15 vuotta vankeutta. Nuorisorikosoikeus koskee Itävallassa 18-21-vuotiaita tekijöitä.

Vaani siskoaan koulutiellä

Tuomittu surmasi siskonsa taisteluveitsellä, jonka terä oli noin 20 senttimetriä pitkä. Hän vaani siskoaan koulutiellä ja iski sisareensa kahdeksan senttimetrin syvyisiä pistohaavoja. Oikeuden mukaan hän iski siskoaan veitsellä ainakin 25 kertaa eri puolille kehoa.

Myös murhatun siskon ikä oli epäselvä: hän oli ilmoituksensa mukaan 14-vuotias, mutta ruumiinavauksen mukaan 17-18-vuotias.

Itävallan yleisradioyhtiö ORF kertoi, että tyttö pelkäsi perhettään ja oli heinäkuussa 2017 paennut sukulaisiaan kriisikeskukseen. Hän kertoi isän ja isoveljen hakanneen häntä, koska hän oli rikkonut vanhempiensa asettamia sääntöjä. Hän ei saanut liikkua kodin ulkopuolella yksin ja hänen oli pidettävä päässään huivia.

Neljä päivää ennen kuolemaansa tyttö oli jälleen kriisikeskuksessa. Hän pelkäsi todella paljon. Isä halusi viedä hänet Afganistaniin ja "naittaa siellä hänet vastoin hänen tahtoaan ja jättää hänet sinne yksin". Kun tyttö protestoi, isä lukitsi hänet kotiarestiin.

Tyttö pääsi kuitenkin pakenemaan kotoa. Syyskuun 18. päivänä 2017 isoveli surmasi hänet kadulla wieniläisen metroaseman läheisyydessä.

Police and emergency vehicles were deployed to the scene following the reported stabbing in a restaurant in Herve, Belgium.

The La Libre Belgique daily said on its website a male attacker was among the three dead, which also included two women.

Another daily newspaper, Le Soir, said the attacker had entered a restaurant in the village of Moresnet-Chapelle and stabbed a former partner.

A local official has said that it was a family affair and not terror-related.

LONDON STABBING: Teenager knifed in New Cross as violence spirals out of control

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was raced to hospital after being stabbed in New Cross, south-east London, in a brutal early morning attack.

The stabbing is the latest violent incident to take place on London's streets this year, heaping pressure on politicians to tackle the issue. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police were called at around 12:30am to reports of a stabbing in Avonley Road, SE14.

"Officers attended and an 18-year-old male was taken to a south London hospital where his injuries were deemed not life-threatening.

"There have been no arrests at this time."

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 12:29am today to Avonley Road, New Cross Gate to reports of a stabbing. "We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and a single responder in a car to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"We treated a man at the scene and took him by road as a priority to a major trauma centre." Detective Chief Inspector Lesley Hamilton appealed for any eyewitnesses to contact police.

She said: "At this early stage we believe the victim was attacked by three males who made off on foot towards New Cross Road.
"We understand there were many people in the area at the time of the incident and I am confident that there are people who witnessed the attack.

"I urge those witnesses to come forward. Any information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence."

Romaniryhmien välinen selkkaus tapahtui myöhään torstai-iltana Nafplion sairaalan edustalla.

Tapahtuneen jälkeen, noin kello 19:45, yksi rähinään osallistuneista vietiin Nafplion sairaalaan. Tuntemattomista syistä, hoitavan lääkärin ja potilaan välille oli muodostunut jännitteitä, jonka seurauksena romanit hyökkäsivät lääkärin kimppuun ja hakkasivat tämän.

Tämän jälkeen toinen romaniryhmittymistä tuli sisään sairaalaan ja aloitti uuden kärhämän.

Opiskelija putosi 70 metriä korkealta jyrkänteeltä ja joutui koomaan Italiassa - poliisi epäilee hirvittävää rikosta: heittikö raiskaaja Alenan, 21, alas?

Saksalais-venäläinen opiskelija löydettiin vakavasti loukkaantuneena vasta kaksi tuntia myöhemmin.

Poliisi tutkii saksalais-venäläisen opiskelijan outoa putoamista jyrkänteeltä alas Italian San Remossa. Tapaus sattui jo heinäkuun lopussa. 21-vuotias Alena on ollut siitä lähtien keinotekoisessa koomassa sairaalassa.

Alena syöksyi tuntemattomasta syystä 70 metriä korkealta Capo Neron jyrkänteeltä alas ollessaan San Remossa lomamatkalla. Hänet löydettiin vakavasti loukkaantuneena vasta kaksi tuntia myöhemmin, saksalainen Hessische Niedersächsische Allgemeine -lehti kertoi.

Italialaismedia kertoi torstaina, että Alena on avannut silmänsä ensi kertaa. Hän ei ole kuitenkaan pystynyt vielä puhumaan. Alenan todistus olisi tärkeä, jotta tapaus saataisiin selvitettyä. Hän ei pudonnut koko 70 metrin matkaa alas asti.

Samalta jyrkänteeltä löytyi myös pohjoisafrikkalainen Zied, 32, ja hänkin oli loukkaantunut. Hänet pidätettiin ja vangittiin heti sairaalahoidon jälkeen.

Syyttäjä Barbara Bresci kertoi Bild-lehden mukaan, että miestä epäillään seksuaalirikoksesta ja murhan yrityksestä. Ziedin uskotaan raiskanneen Alenan ja heittäneen hänet jyrkänteeltä alas. Rikostutkintaa johtaa Italian poliisi.

Zied on laittomasti Italiassa. Hän on kertonut viettäneensä illan Alenan kanssa ja yrittäessään pelastaa naisen hän oli itsekin pudonnut mäenrinnettä alas. Asianajajansa mukaan Zied ei muista illan tapahtumista juuri mitään.

Alena opiskeli oikeustieteitä Saksan Marburgissa ja on kotoisin Kasselin kaupungista. Saksan poliisi avustaa Italian poliisia tapauksen tutkinnassa ja on vahvistanut, että rikosnimikkeinä ovat raiskaus ja murhan yritys.

Yusuf Aka Gets Short Sentence for Stabbing Stranger, Attacking Wheelchair User, Trashing Hospital A&E

Yusuf Aka has received a short prison sentence for his knife rampage at a hospital in multicultural Leicester.

The 22-year-old stabbed a complete stranger in the back with a large knife outside Leicester Royal Infirmary, before storming into the hospital's accident and emergency waiting room and sending staff and patients fleeing in terror as he trashed a number of hospital computers, hurling one of them at a wheelchair user.

But it the judge only saw fit to sentence Aka to five years on a charge of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), with two shorter sentences for affray and possession of an offensive weapon "to be served concurrently".

(This means that, in practice, he will serve no time for these lesser convictions at all.)

Why he was not prosecuted for attempted murder is not made clear in Leicestershire police force's report on the sentencing.
It should also be noted that his "five year" sentence may actually involve as little as two and half years behind bars, as criminals receiving standard determinate sentences in Britain are automatically released back into the community on licence halfway through — or, more rarely, two-thirds of the way through — their prison terms.

Hyvin suosittu marokko­lainen laulaja Saad Lamjarred on jälleen pidätetty Ranska­ssa raiskauksesta epäiltynä. Epäilty raiskaus tapahtui hotellissa Saint-Tropezissa.

Vuonna 2010 laulajaa syytettiin USA:ssa naisen raiskaamisesta ja pahoinpitelystä, jolloin hän pakeni maasta. Lamjarredia syytetään myös toisesta raiskauksesta Ranskassa vuonna 2016. Tästä tapauksesta on oikeudenkäynti tulossa myöhemmin.

Saad Lamjarred: Moroccan singer faces third rape charge

Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred has been detained in southern France over new allegations of rape, officials say.

The alleged incident took place in a hotel in Saint-Tropez. No further details were given.

The 33-year-old is already on bail over an alleged rape case dating back to 2016 and was arrested in 2010 on suspicion of another assault.

Mr Lamjarred's 2015 hit Lmaallem has become the most-viewed song by an Arab artist on YouTube.

It has been seen more than 650 million times.

Prosecutors in the south-eastern city of Draguignan, near Saint-Tropez, told AFP news agency that the latest case was "complex" and involved two "radically opposed versions of events".

What happened in the previous cases?

Mr Lamjarred was first arrested on suspicion of beating and raping a woman in New York in 2010. He fled the US while on bail and has not returned since.

Six years later, he was accused of physically assaulting and raping a young French woman in a hotel in Paris. He was released on bail with an electronic tag in April 2017 awaiting trial.
