BREAKING NEWS: Three dead & nine injured in shooting at Florida airport

The shooting took place in Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida.

A number of people are said to be injured. Three people have been shot dead, according to NBC.

Terrified witnesses told how "everyone" started running as the gunman as the gunman open fire at the popular airport.

The drama unfolded in the baggage claim area, according to local reports.

Ari Fleischer, a former White House press secretary, tweeted: "I'm at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Shots have been fired. Everyone is running."

"The police aren't letting anyone out of the airport - at least not the area where I am."

According to NBC the gunman is in custody. However unconfirmed reports say the suspect has been killed.

On social media site, Twitter Fort Lauderdale airport said there was an "ongoing incident" in the baggage claim area of terminal two.

A shooting left multiple people dead Friday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The Fort Lauderdale mayor said a lone shooter was responsible, and deputies confirmed that the shooter is in custody.

Gov. Rick Scott is headed to Fort Lauderdale to be briefed by law enforcement, his office said.

As many as nine people were injured in the shooting, according to a report from WPLG.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer, who was at the airport, posted on Twitter that shots had been fired.

All services at the airport have been temporarily suspended Travelers in Fort Lauderdale are asked to contact their air carrier about their flight information.

A Jacksonville Airport Authority spokeswoman said travelers need to check their flight status before heading to the airport, because it is a fluid situation.

Turhapaikanhakija väitti oikeudessa, että uhri oli halunnut seksiä ja kertoi, että nainen oli laittanut käden hänen reidelleen. Uhri kertoi tekijän hokeneen raiskauksen aikana "rakastan sinua".

Muslimin käsitys rakkaudesta on ilmeisesti yhtä kuin naisen raiskaaminen puistossa.

Refugee, 24, who raped a grandmother in park claimed she WANTED sex

A REFUGEE who raped a grandmother in a park has claimed she wanted to have sex with him.

The 24-year-old offender – identified only as Ayoub L. – raped the woman in the German region of Saxony.

But he told a court the victim, 62, "wanted sex" because she "put her hand on my thigh".

Speaking about the horrific attack, the pensioner said Ayoub L. grabbed her by the neck and dragged her into a bush.

She added: "Then he tore my pants down and pressed me with his weight to the ground.

"I could not resist as I was afraid.

"He hurt me and continuously said 'I love you'."

When the rapist left the park after the rape in July, his victim called police and went to a hospital that same night.

Because Ayoub L. had already been investigated in other criminal cases, he could easily be identified by DNA traces.

The attacker, who came to Germany as a refugee from Libya in late 2015, was jailed for three years earlier this week.

During the trial, Ayoub L. had given a different story about the circumstances of the encounter.

He said: "I sat on a bench, waiting for a friend.

"Then the woman sat next to me, put her hand on my thigh and made me realise that she wanted sex."

When prosecutor Daniela Nuendel if such things often happened to him, Ayoub L. claimed it was "common".

Judge Gudrun Trautmann did not believe the rapist's version of events.

He said: "Both his DNA traces and a torn-off headphone of his cell phone at the crime scene point to violence."

Olympiaurheilija keskeytti teinityttöjen ahdistelun ja juoksi tekijän kiinni - "Kukaan ei tehnyt mitään"

Lontoon olympialaisissa Intiaa edustanut kiekonheittäjä Krishna Poonia keskeytti uudenvuodenpäivänä kahden teinitytön ahdistelun.

Tapaus sattui Churussa, läntisessä Intiassa.

- Olin järkyttynyt ja kauhuissani, kun näin näiden miesten ahdistelevan tyttöjä julkisella ja vilkkaalla paikalla. Kukaan ei tehnyt mitään ennen kuin nousin autosta ja lähdin heidän peräänsä, Poonia kertoi BBC:lle.

Tekijöitä oli kaikkiaan kolme, ja Poonia sai näistä yhden kiinni.

- Tytöt olivat järkyttyneitä. He eivät halunneet raportoida tapahtuneesta, koska pelkäsivät, että heidän perheensä ei antaisi heidän liikkua enää julkisesti, jos tapaus tulisi ilmi.

BBC:n paikalliselta poliisilta saaman vahvistuksen mukaan ilmoitus on kuitenkin tehty ja miehiä odottaa syytteet.

Intialaiseksi poikkeuksellisen kookas, 186-senttinen kiekonheittäjä on saanut sosiaalisessa mediassa osakseen ylistystä. Häntä kiitellään siitä, että uskalsi vastustaa miehiä.

Poonian mukaan ahdistelutapaukset jatkuvat niin kauan kuin miehet lakkaavat pitämästä naisia vähempiarvoisina.

- On ironista, että Intian mitalit Rion olympialaisissa saavutti kaksi nuorta naista, ja koko kansa juhli heitä. Sitten tapahtuu tällaisia asioita, joita Bangaloressakin nähtiin.

BBC:n mukaan useiden naisten on väitetty tulleen ahdistelluksi Etelä-Intiassa sijaitsevan, maan kolmanneksi suurimman kaupungin Bangaloren uudenvuoden juhlallisuuksissa.

Poonia heitti Lontoon olympialaisten kiekkofinaalissa viidenneksi (63,62m).

Brittiläinen Atlanta Hammond oli turkkilaisen (nimestä pääteltynä) poikaystävänsä fyysisen ja henkisen väkivallan kohteena parin vuoden ajan. Halil Cetinkayali pahoinpiteli naista jatkuvasti, painosti tämän lopettamaan työnsä, kielsi tätä tapaamasta muita kuin omaa äitiään, puukotti tätä ja raiskasi ainakin kerran. Nainen kertoo Cetinkayalin olevan hurskas muslimi ja hän lopetti työnsä kunnioituksesta tämän uskoa kohtaan.

Kun Hammond oli lopulta eroamassa miehestä, Cetinkayali näytti videon, jossa hän raiskaa nukkuvaa naista ja uhkasi laittaa sen nettiin. Nainen lähetti myöhemmin miehelle viestin, jossa oli kuvia tämän aiheuttamista mustelmista ja muista vammoista. Mies laittoikin sitten jostain syystä nämä kuvat Facebookiin saatesanoilla "Tässä on tyttöystäväni, jota petin ja hakkasin kahden vuoden ajan päivittäin". Hammond pisti välit poikki totaalisesti, mutta eräänä päivänä hänen palatessaan kotiinsa mies oli makaamassa hänen sängyllään. Mies jahtasi pakenevaa naista kadulle ja hakkasi tämän pahasti, jonka vuoksi naapurit soittivat poliisit.

Halil Cetinkayali tuomittiin 19 vuoden ja 8 kuukauden vankeusrangaistukseen huhtikuussa.

Ei helvetti, että onkin sairas musulmaani. Onneksi sai sentään kunnon tuomion teoistaan.

- He repeatedly attacked the mother of one, from Essex, and he even stabbed her
- On one occasion, he raped her as she slept and recorded it to use as blackmail

A woman has recalled the horrific abuse she was subjected to by her former partner - who boasted of his attacks by putting photos of her injuries on Facebook.

Atlanta Hammond, from Braintree, Essex, says she was subjected to daily physical abuse, banned from socialising and forced to quit her job by her ex-boyfriend.

And when the mother-of-one plucked up the courage to leave him, he threatened to publish a video of himself raping her while she slept and post it online.

The 21-year-old, who has a two-year-old son, says her former partner exerted control over her from the time they met in 2013, when she was just 18.

She said Halil Cetinkayali, 30, made her 'feel like a princess' - before things quickly turned sour.

Halil, who Atlanta described as a staunch Muslim, made her quit her job as a carer 'out of respect for his faith'.

And after Googling friends' names on the internet one day, she found he was using an alias and was wanted by police.

However, when she confronted him, he turned violent, grabbing her throat and said he would post the footage of the two of them online.

The pair stayed together, with Halil abusing her every day.

She told The Sun: 'I didn't have to do anything to get hit. Say the wrong thing, answer back, talk to the wrong person.

'He'd make me sit on the phone to him all night if I was at a friend's house.

'I wasn't allowed to see any male friends. In fact, eventually, he banned me seeing anyone but my mum – and for those times he'd buy me concealer.'

The abuse finally became too much for Atlanta one night when she attempted to escape Halil's clutches as he slept and go to her mother's house.

However Halil caught Atlanta as she was about to get into a cab outside their home, viciously assaulting her and stabbing her in the hip as a result.

It was after this final attack that a brave Atlanta plucked up the courage to tell the police of the abuse, and he was arrested for wounding with intent.

But such was the power he had over his victim that Halil was able to convince Atlanta to retract her statement and he was released with an electronic tag in July 2014.

It was at this point that Halil showed her the video he had taken off himself raping Atlanta while she slept.

It was this threat that proved the final straw for the mother of one, who sent a final text to Halil with pictures of the cuts and bruises she has suffered at his hands.

Incredibly, Halil would himself post the images onto Facebook, along with the caption 'This is the girl I beat up and cheated on for two years'.

Atlanta broke off all contact with Halil afterwards, and wouldn't see him again until she returned to her home one day to find him lying on her bed.

He chased her into the street and viciously attacked her in broad daylight, leading neighbours to call for the police.

It was after his arrest that Atlanta finally told police officers the whole story of her physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her partner.

Halil was sentenced to 19 years and eight months in prison in April.

SYYSKUUN 6. päivä pohjoisafrikkalaiselta tai arabilta näyttänyt mies seurasi 15-vuotiasta tyttöä bussissa sekä junassa Berliinissä ja kävi lopulta takaapäin tämän kimppuun ilmeisesti asuintalon rappukäytävässä yrittäen raiskata tytön siinä kuitenkaan onnistumatta. Raiskarikusipää puhui englantia ja erittäin huonoa saksaa.

Girl escapes rape attempt after 'African or Arab' man followed her on Berlin train and bus

A MANHUNT is underway in Germany after a man followed a girl on a train and bus before attempting to rape her in a hallway.

The man, described as of "North African or Arabic appearance" by police, attacked the girl in a residential house in Berlin.

German investigators have now published photographs of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place on September 6 last year.

They say the girl, aged 15, was attacked from behind in the hallway of a house in the Berlin neighbourhood of Spandeau at 8.30pm.

A video released by the Berlin Transport Authority shows the man following her on a bus and train. The girl did not notice she was being trailed.

Police said the man was aged between 20 and 25 years of age.

They say he was of North African or Arabic appearance, and spoke English and "very bad" German.

He has short hair with a receding hairline, a black chin beard and was around 5 foot 11 inches tall.

Heroic German dad rescues terrified daughter from Syrian rapist then hauls him to police

A GERMAN father is being hailed as a hero by police after rescuing his daughter from a refugee rapist and then turning the suspect in.

The 57-year-old man raced to the crime scene in the town of Kleve after his daughter telephoned him to say; "There's a man following me home dad....."

When he got there the man had punched his daughter almost unconscious, was on top of her and tearing at her clothes after dragging her from the side of the road into undergrowth.

Her dad, who arrived at the scene on a push-scooter, leaped off screaming, hauled the drunken attacker off his daughter and punched him several times.

He then held him down with his body while calling police and an ambulance on his mobile phone.

A patrol car raced to the scene and took the "heavily intoxicated" Syrian into custody.  He is facing charges of assault and attempted sexual assault.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later released.

The 23-year-old had been to a disco with friends the previous evening, could not find a cab at 5.30am on Sunday morning to get home so began the two mile walk to the house she lives in with her parents.

The girl called her father when she began crossing from side to side of the road, each time her would-be attacker trailing her.

Her attacker, 23, is understood to live in an asylum seekers' home in Kleve.

"This man in a hero," said police.  "He saved his own daughter from something terrible happening to her."

Viimeksi El Salvadorissa koettiin AP:n tilaston mukaan päivä ilman murhia tammikuun 22. päivänä 2015. Sama tapahtui kerran vuonna 2013.

Entinen Miss Italia -finalisti ja malli Gessica Notaro joutui happoiskun kohteeksi lähtiessään kotoaan Riminin kaupungissa Italiassa. Teosta epäillään afrikkalaista ex-poikaystävää Jorge Edson Tavaresia (kotoisin Kap Verdeltä).

Nainen sai haposta vakavia vammoja kasvoihinsa ja hän saattaa menettää näkönsä.

Nämä haponheittelyt ovat niin helvetin surullisia ja kuvottavia tapauksia. Taas on yhden naisen elämä pilattu jonkun katkeran paskan kostonhimon takia.

Noihin hyökkäyksiin syyllistyneet ihmisjätteet voisi mun puolesta laittaa ihan kunnon happokylpyyn.

Italian model risks losing her sight after jilted boyfriend throws acid in her face in case that shocks the country

n Italian model risks losing her sight and will have to undergo intense plastic surgery after acid was thrown in her face, allegedly by her jilted boyfriend, in a revenge attack that has shocked the country.

Gessica Notaro, 28, a former Miss Italy contestant who worked as a dolphin and sea lion trainer in an aquarium on the Adriatic coast, was allegedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend, Jorge Edson Tavares, 29.

Tavares, a bodyguard who is originally from Cape Verde, was reportedly bitter after she broke up with him last summer following a two-year relationship, and had allegedly been stalking and threatening her for months.

She complained about the intimidation to police and in August a court ordered him not to approach her home.

Tavares was arrested and remanded in custody on suspicion of carrying out the assault.

He allegedly lay in wait outside his former girlfriend's apartment on the outskirts of Rimini. As she arrived at the property, he reportedly called out her name before flinging a bottle of acid in her face.

The liquid burnt her face, eyes and scalp and she was rushed to hospital in the nearby town of Cesena. "She's not in danger of losing her life, but the damage is extensive," said Davide Melandri, the hospital's director. "It will be a few days before we can assess how bad it is."

A friend of the model told La Repubblica newspaper: "She was always smiling, always optimistic. Her mother is destroyed by this."

In 2007 Miss Notaro was crowned Miss Romagna – the region where she lives – and then landed appearances on television as a showgirl.

She started working at the aquarium in Rimini in 2014.

Naiskuvaaja kampitti pakolaisia - kolme vuotta ehdollista

Unkarin ja Serbian rajalla toissa syksynä pakolaisia potkinut ja kampittanut naiskuvaaja Petra Laszlo on tuomittu kolmen vuoden ehdolliseen vankeustuomioon häiritsevästä käyttäymisestä.

Petra Laszlo oli kuvaamassa pakolaisia Unkarin ja Serbian rajalla syyskuussa 2015, kun pakolaisjoukko murtautui yhtäkkiä poliisilinjan läpi.

Petra Laszlo nähtiin ja kuvattiin potkimassa kahta pakenevaa ihmistä, toinen oli nuori tyttö. Hetkeä myöhemmin Laszlo kamppasi lasta sylissään kantaneen syyrialaisen pakolaismiehen.

Oikeuden mukaan Laszlon käyttäytyminen oli yhteiskunnan normien vastaista. Laszlo on selittänyt yrittäneensä vain puolustaa itseään.

- Käännyin ja näin satojen ihmisten juoksevan minua kohti. Se oli uskomattoman pelottavaa, Laszlo sanoi BBC:lle.

Laszlo todisti oikeudessa videolinkin välityksellä. Hän puhkesi välillä kyyneliin ja kertoi saaneensa välikohtauksen jälkeen tappouhkauksia ja joutuneensa vihakampanjan kohteeksi.

Oikeistolainen N1TV-kanava antoi Laszlolle potkut, kun kampitusvideo levisi sosiaaliseen mediaan.

Firenzessä Italiassa siirtolaiset (ilmeisesti pääosin somaleja) mellakoivat ja wäbälöivät lauantaina, kun joku siirtolainen kuoli näiden laittomien paskiaisten majapaikkanaan käyttämän hylätyn rakennuksen tulipalossa, jonka nämä ääliöt todennäköisesti sytyttivät itse. 44-vuotias Ali Muse oli päässyt jo rakennuksesta ulos, mutta palasi hakemaan dokumentteja, joiden avulla hän saisi perheensä Italiaan.

Somali migrants try to STORM into Italian government office during violent protest

FURIOUS migrants clashed with police and staged chaotic protest in front of the local government's office after a refugee died overnight in a fire.

Dozens of migrants staged a protest on Saturday outside local government offices after the death of a refugee, which they blame on authorities.

The violent skirmishes saw the migrants attempt to storm Florence's local government prefecture building by force.   

However, riot police held the migrants back while scuffles continued for several hours.

Police had to resort to a human barricade to stop protesters forcing their way into the prefecture.

After the migrants failed to break into the local government offices, they staged a sit-in.

They chanted 'shame' and showed banners reading it was the state's fault that the migrant had died during an overnight fire.

Some protesters lay down in the road, bringing traffic to a halt while others tried to storm an art exhibition hall.

The protest came after Ali Muse, a 44-year-old migrant, died from severe burns in a fire at an abandoned plant used as a makeshift shelter by 80 African asylum seekers.

According to witnesses, Muse was able to get out of the building when the blaze first erupted but returned to get documents that would enable family members to join him in Italy.

One of the Somali migrants, Mohamed Ali, said: "Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get out, probably because his room was one of the most distant from the door."

Investigators believe the fire could have been caused by the migrants' attempt to warm up in sub-freezing temperatures.

By the evening, the mayor of Sesto Florence intervened and said that officials would search for new accomodation for the migrants.

He also confirmed the local authorities would finance a dignified funeral for the migrant who died.

However, the mayor also pleaded for other Italian cities to "help us" amid the growing migrant crisis.
