There were 17 percent fewer work permits given to foreigners this summer compared to the first three months of the year. A total of 4876 work permits were given out – the lowest number in three years.

According to the latest figures from Statistics Denmark, a fifth of work permits went to Poles, followed by Indians and Germans at 9 and 7 percent respectively.

A Danske Bank analysis estimates that 10,000 workers have kept their jobs in correlation with fewer foreigners receiving work permits this year.

Statistics released yesterday showed that the number of work permits issued to foreigners dropped by 17 percent to 4876 this summer.
The Danske Bank analysis concludes that the free movement of labour and trade in the European Union benefits the country's labour market both in strong and weak economic times.

According to the analysis, the jobs of 10,000 domestic workers were saved in the last nine months because fewer foreigners were applying for work permits.

However, the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions is doubtful about the positive claims of the analysis with economist Jan Kæraa questioning how many foreigners are choosing to leave Denmark

Tanskassa jaettiin vähemmän työlupia kuin aikaisemmin. Danske Bankin mukaan 10 000 tanskalaisen työpaikka on sääilynyt tämän johdosta.

Eniten lupia myönnettiin puolalaisille, intialaisille ja saksalaisille.

Uudessa- Seelannissa ulkoa tulleiden työntekoa on rajattu niin, ettei yhdellä työnantajalla voi olla töissä kuin 6kk. Juurikin paikallisten työntekijöidern työllisyyden takia.
