Iso-Britannia muistaakseni muuten kriminalisoi orjuuden jo joskus 1800-luvun alkupuolella, näin ne ajat muuttuvat.

BLOOMINGTON --  As she trudged across the Indiana University campus, a backpack on her shoulder, Tebby Kaisara looked like just another student. But Kaisara wasn't a student. She was a slave.

Kaisara says a former IU graduate student coerced her into working as a domestic servant for 18 months. She cleaned the student's apartment, took care of the woman's children, did laundry, ran errands, cooked meals and bought groceries. All without pay.

And all while living in student housing on campus.

Tebby Kaisara's ordeal as a modern-day slave in America began with a promise. She was living with a cousin in Gaborone, Botswana, when a neighbor made an incredible offer. If she would leave Botswana for the United States, Kaisara could work in a daycare center and attend school in St. Louis. For a desperate 19-year-old with few good options in her homeland, it sounded like a dream.

After several minutes, Kaisara says, the woman who would become her tormentor arrived at the apartment. That evening, the student, also from Africa, introduced Tebby to her children, a boy and a girl. She also talked about Kaisara's plan to attend classes.

"She said I can take your documents to school so you can enroll," Kaisara says. "I got excited and I gave her my passport."

But after the children went to bed, the conversation changed. "She took me outside and showed me where the children got on the bus. She said it was my job to get them ready to get on the bus each morning," Kaisara says. "At that point, I was confused about what was going on. I asked about going to school, and she said, 'I don't have money to put you in school. You're here to be my nanny'."

"She told me that first night, 'You don't have to talk to anyone,' " Kaisara says. " 'All these white people are racists. They don't like black people. You'll see a lot of cops on the streets. They'll ask for your documents, ask for a Social Security number, and if you don't have it, they'll arrest you and deport you'."

As the months unfolded, Kaisara says she was subjected to a constant stream of manipulation and coercion. She often was denied food and medicine. She was at times locked in a room as punishment. The student wouldn't speak to her for weeks at a time, instead writing out instructions. At other times the phone would ring and she would be ordered to deliver lunch or a backpack to the student at the IU School of Education.

"She introduced me as her sister," Kaisara says. "One professor told me I was a good helper."

The tendency not to get involved in strangers' lives pushed students and others Kaisara encountered to look past the red flags.

As the months unfolded, Kaisara rapidly lost weight. She says she weighed 140 pounds when she arrived in America. But she was down to 80 pounds before the exploitation ended, a fact she attributes to constant stress and the student's demand that Kaisara buy her own food. She was able to earn money by braiding hair in the community, but the work was piece-meal.

"She was angry with me because she said I was working too slow," Kaisara tells me as we stand on the second floor landing outside the first apartment. "We were carrying a sofa down the stairs when she shoved it and I fell. I was on the ground, bleeding when a Chinese student who saw what happened came over. He said you need to see a doctor. The woman was yelling at me and I told her I was bleeding and needed help. She said she didn't have money for a doctor. She gave me an old bandage to stop the bleeding."

In 2006, her health deteriorating, Kaisara decided to stand up against her trafficker. With a painful cyst growing on her side, Kaisara again asked to see a doctor. The student again refused. But this time Tebby didn't back down.

"One night it was so painful that I knew I had to go to the doctor," Kaisara says. "I told her I had talked to a lawyer and 'They told me you are lying. Give me my passport or I am going to call the police'."

But memories of her past exploitation, including childhood sexual abuse, still keep her awake at night. And prompt her to work long hours.

"I cannot sleep from the trauma," she says. "It's going to be a lifetime thing. I want to sleep but I cannot sleep. I chose not to sit there and have my mind go to unnecessary things."

BRITANNIAN pääkaupungissa Lontoossa on tapettu tänä vuonna jo yli 60 ihmistä, kertovat brittimediat The Telegraph ja BBC.

Uusimpana väkivaltaisuuksien sarjasta on nostettu esiin 17-vuotias nuori mies, joka kuoli luotiin Warham Streetillä Etelä-Lontoossa lauantai-iltana.

Poliisi sai hälytyksen laukauksista iltakuuden jälkeen, jolloin 17-vuotias löydettiin kadulta. Noin tuntia myöhemmin poika todettiin kuolleeksi pelastusyrityksistä huolimatta.

Lisäksi sunnuntaina kahta poikaa ammuttiin Luoteis-Lontoossa sijaitsevassa Wealdstonessa. Poliisi sai ilmoitukset ampumatapauksista vain kahden minuutin viiveellä toisistaan, kertoo Sky News.

Ammutut pojat ovat 12- ja 15-vuotiaita ja heidät on viety sairaalaan.

YLI KAHDEKSAN miljoonan asukkaan metropolissa väkivaltarikosten suuri määrä on huolettanut kuluvana vuonna. Nyt jatkuvalla tahdilla vuodesta 2018 tulee väkivaltaisin vuosikymmeneen.

Monet henkirikosten uhreista ovat olleet nuoria ja etnisiin vähemmistöihin kuuluvia. Puukotukset ja ampumiset ovat olleet ongelma etenkin kaupunginosissa, joita eri jengit pitävät tukialueinaan.

Ei HS:n jutussa sinänsä mitään uutta. Ongelma on vakava, siihen satsataan (paitsi että ei satsata, koska lisärahaa ei heru). Uhrien matutausta tietysti mainitaan mutta tekijöiden ei. Sisäministerin mukaan crack on pulma ja huumejengit. Keinotkin ovat tutut: kieltoja. Nyt kieltolistalle kuuluisivat ministerin mielestä veitsien etämyynti, nyrkkiraudat ja hapot (=syövyttävät aineet).

Eivätkö hekään uskalla puhua suoraan ongelmien syistä ja toteuttaa tehokkaista toimia niiden ratkaisemiseksi.

87-year-old French woman raped for 2 hours by illegal migrant

A 87-year-old woman was robbed and raped by a migrant in her apartment in Lyon, French news outlet Lyonmag reports.

The woman, who is living in the 9th district of Lyon, woke up in the night of 22 April. She was then raped for 2 hours and robbed of a ring, by a Moroccan migrant.

Police say the man was previously arrested for violent robberies but he was released every time after numerous arrests.

This time police traced the man through DNA evidence, as a sample was retrieved in the victim's house. The migrant was arrested a day later, while wearing the stolen ring.

During the custody, the rapist lied about his age to the police, saying he was only 16 years old. Because the French legislation on unaccompanied 'child' migrants is soft on their crimes, it's a common thing for migrant to lie about their age to benefit from it.

The illegal also tried to convince the police that the victim gave him her consent, before he was quickly rebutted by the evidence and the victim's testimony.

Migrant Syrian 'Jumped From Bushes to Attack Woman Before Attempting to Drown Her in River'

Police in Strasbourg have arrested a 33-year-old migrant after he reportedly attacked a woman who was walking home and tried to drown her in the River Ill, local media reports.

The 35-year-old victim was walking home on one of the French city's cycle paths on Friday night when a man with a knife reportedly jumped out from bushes near the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

After making his presence known to the woman, he "immediately proceeded to threaten her with a blade", according to regional newspaper DNA, reporting that the man ignored his victim's pleas and held the knife below her eye.

A struggle then ensued, during which the attacker pushed the woman into the River Ill and held her head under the water in an apparent attempt to drown his victim.

Following his arrest not long after the incident, police were unable to verify the identity of the suspect, who declared himself to be 33-years-old and Syrian.

Despite "overwhelming evidence" including his having been in possession of a knife and wearing wet clothes when arrested, the man denies being the author of any crimes against the woman.

The incident is the latest in a string of attacks involving migrants targeting lone females for attack in Strasbourg which have been reported in recent weeks including a sexual assault at the city's train station at the end of April.

Eine Gruppe von Männern hat am Wochenende in Gießen Polizisten an einem Streifenwagen attackiert. Es kam zu tumultartigen Szenen. Offenbar filmten die Täter ihren Angriff sogar.

Zu tumultartigen Szenen kam es am Sonntag gegen 05 Uhr morgens in der Bahnhofstraße in Gießen. Offenbar, so berichtet die Polizei, hatte eine fünfköpfige Gruppe die Besatzung eines Streifenwagens mehrmals angegriffen und attackiert. Nachdem weitere sieben Streifenwagen unterstützen, konnte die Situation beruhigt werden. Es kam zur Festnahme der Verdächtigen.

Drei Verdächtige im Alter von 21- und 25 Jahren kommen aus Dillenburg und besitzen die türkische Staatsangehörigkeit. Die beiden anderen mutmaßlichen Täter sind Asylbewerber aus Afghanistan - 17 Jahre - bzw. Somalia  - 16 Jahre - und wohnen in Eschenburg und Dillenburg. Die Gruppe wurde aufgrund eines fehlenden Haftgrundes am Sonntagabend nach den polizeilichen Maßnahmen wieder entlassen. Drei Verdächtige hatten durch den Einsatz von Pfefferspray und Schlagstock leichte Verletzungen erlitten.

Er sei am Tattag mit Freunden und Bekannten am Marktplatz in Bergisch Gladbach unterwegs gewesen, als man auf Thomas K. (40) und dessen Begleiter getroffen sei. Es kam zum Streit, man beleidigte sich gegenseitig.

Asylum seeker killed sex worker two months after he was due to be deported from Germany after fellow migrant said he could make money by beating prostitutes unconscious and robbing them

An asylum seeker in Germany killed a prostitute and robbed her two months after he should have been deported by authorities.

Soueymane Sidiki, 23, is charged with murdering Romanian prostitute Lica Luminata, at her house in Regensburg on August 30 last year - German newspaper Bild reported.

Sidiki, from Senegal, who was living in an asylum seekers refuge across the street, murdered the woman after being told by another person living there he should 'beat prostitutes unconscious and steal from them'.

A court heard how Sidiki went to the woman's house and paid 50 euros for sex before smothering her with a pillow, taking back the money and stealing her phone.

He fled the scene but was later caught by police in another asylum seeker's refuge on the Czech border after they managed to track him down using her phone signals.

The court also heard how Sidiki had been allowed to remain in Germany because of an administrative error, Bild reported.

He had seen his application for citizenship denied two months earlier on June 20 2017 - but German authorities found they were unable to deport him because he lacked the correct documentation.

They were forced to send off an application to Senegal, his country of origin, to try and get him a new passport so he could leave the country.

But the process soon became tangled in bureaucracy - resulting in significant time delays.

Sidiki's lawyer, Robert Hankowetz, claims the process was delayed even further by the fact he had given German officials a fake name because he is wanted in Mali in connection with a traffic accident.

The witness call of the police continues: "His clothing was also darker and he showed no other abnormalities.

Since the victim had the offender also a violent blow in the face, it could well be that the offender has an injury in the face.

Ryöstäjä kaatui maahan, ja Sastre onnistui ottamaan myös hänen aseensa haltuunsa. Ryöstäjä kuoli myöhemmin sairaalassa vammoihinsa.

NCA kertoo laittaneensa äskettäin Koillis-Englannissa stopin salakuljetusjengille, joka toi porukkaa Irakista saakka läpi Euroopan Iso-Britanniaan. Maksut hoidettiin muslimien hawala-järjestelmän kautta, joka vaikeuttaa rikostutkijoiden hommia huomattavasti.

National Crime Agency Warns of Open Border at Small Ports, Airfields as Sophisticated Migrant Smugglers Grow

Illegal immigration is one of the most serious threats facing Britain, the National Crime Agency (NCA) has warned in a report which revealed gangs are flying migrants into unguarded airfields.

In its annual assessment, the NCA said organised criminal gangs are taking advantage of the lack of security at many of the 950 ports, harbours, and marinas around 11,000 miles of UK coastline, and remote airfields with limited ability to monitor or stop the trafficking of migrants, drugs, and weapons.

"The UK has over 3,000 airstrips, presenting opportunities for criminals to use general aviation to exploit the UK border," notes the agency, reporting its intelligence showed that organised crime groups (OCG) "have made significant investments in the purchase or hire of aircraft to facilitate illegal movement of people and commodities".

"It is highly likely that OCGs will continue to use GA [General Aviation] in order to facilitate the illegal entry of migrants, in particular, into the UK," the assessment adds.

However, the NCA found that refrigerated lorries remained the favoured method of transporting migrants, reporting that the agency recently disrupted a massive operation based in the north east of England which "was capable of providing an end-to-end service from Iraq to the UK, including travel within the EU and across the Channel".

Using complicit truck drivers with hidden compartments built into their vehicles, the gang "would drop migrants off at pre-arranged times and places in the UK for collection", with payments made via hawala — a traditional system of money transfer used in Arab countries and South Asia which is said to pose serious challenges to anti-fraud investigators.

Belgiassa poliisi jahtasi toissayönä pakua, jossa oli kyydissä noin 30 kurdiläpsyttelijää. 2-vuotiasta tyttöä oli pidetty syystä tai toisesta auton ulkopuolella ikkunasta ja jossain välissä tämä sai sitten luodin päähänsä.

Belgium migrants: Girl shot after police van chase

A two-year-old girl found with fatal injuries in Belgium after a police chase on Thursday died from a gunshot wound to the face, prosecutors say.

The girl was in a van carrying some 30 Kurdish migrants which had been pursued for an hour in southern Belgium.

The chase, which began on the E42 motorway near the town of Namur, involved a scuffle, police said.

A police spokesman said they did not know whether the fatal shot had been fired by a police officer.

An initial report from the emergency services had stated mistakenly that the cause of death was a head injury.

"The autopsy determined the cause of death was a bullet that entered the cheek," prosecutor Frederic Bariseau told the AFP news agency, adding that the police could not confirm who had fired the bullet.

Belgian media reported that the girl, who was with her mother, had been held out of a van window apparently to keep the police at a distance.

Local prosecutors told the BBC they could not confirm the reports.

The chase began just outside Namur in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The van drove west for several kilometres, evading police. Eventually it collided with another vehicle near Mons and the girl was found.

It took 15 police cars and some 30 police to bring the incident to an end at around 03:00 (01:00 GMT) on Thursday.

Migrants staying at the nearby Grande-Synthe camp had known the girl who had died as she was part of a family who had been staying in the gym, said French police.

A woman who saved herself by karate-kicking two men who followed her home from a nightclub has said she feels 'complete relief' after the pair were jailed.

Kelly Soutar, 29, told a court how Shehab Smekramuddin and Mohammad Islam, had followed her from a Forfar club towards her home in Angus, Scotland, before attacking her.

Kelly, who has a brown belt in karate, said her self-defence training kicked in allowing her to fight her attackers.

During a trial at Dundee Sheriff Court, prosecutor Eilidh Robertson told a jury: 'She admitted she punched one of the men – kicked him in the balls in her words.'

A sheriff jailed the pair, who were both found to be illegal immigrants, for three years each – and they now face deportation to their native Bangladesh when their sentences expire.

Speaking outside court, Kelly said she hoped her story would encourage other women to take self-defence classes to allow them to stay safe.

Kelly – who will compete in WUKF World Karate Championships in Dundee next month – added: 'A lot of people have got in touch with me to ask about karate groups and going to do self-defence classes and whether it is worth it.

'It has raised awareness which is the main thing and I definitely think self-defence classes are worth it. Even just a little bit can give you confidence.'

After a three-day trial a jury found both men guilty of assault, with the allegation that they intended to rape the woman deleted from the charge.

Defence advocates for the pair said they had both left Bangladesh as 'political refugees' and had been in the UK for years, both ending up working at an Indian restaurant in Forfar where they met.

Sheriff Linda Smith jailed them for three years each and said: 'At the trial I heard the victim – the young woman assaulted by you – give evidence and have seen the effects your involvement in this matter has had on her.

'It is clear that the jury convicted you of assaulting this young woman, who was followed and then attacked on her way home from a night out.'

A sophisticated fake passport laboratory helping hundreds of migrants sneak into Britain has been smashed by police in Albania.

The illicit operation, run by people smugglers, was churning out almost 'perfect' counterfeit travel documents.

Investigators believe the ring produced more than 1,000 bogus papers, of which up to 800 are thought to have been used.

Detectives this week arrested 17 suspected members of the human trafficking gang – including a female police officer – in a string of raids aimed at destroying the network.

Undocumented migrants paid up to £20,000 for the counterfeit documents, which they used to travel openly to the UK by plane, train and bus.

The National Crime Agency has warned that fake identity documents that allow hardened crooks to slip into the country undetected are a 'key enabler' of crime in Britain.

The lucrative operation is thought to have continued for years in plain sight by using the cover of a printing business producing promotional leaflets in the centre of the Albanian capital Tirana. The smugglers produced a range of fake French, Italian, Hungarian, Greek and Romanian passports, identity cards and driving licences.

They specialised in Bulgarian passports – which provide entry to the UK because it is in the EU – on the basis that British border staff would not know the difference between anyone speaking Albanian and Bulgarian.

The gang even imported paper, plastic and other raw materials directly from Bulgaria for added authenticity.

Police released pictures of the high-tech 'laboratory' revealing an array of copying machines and materials used in the scam.

An Albanian police source said the fake documents they created were 'almost 100 per cent perfect' and apparently fooled border guards. The printing company even had a web page – in both Albanian and English – where it boasted of its 'artistry' and promised it could provide 'great opportunities', without explicitly outlining its special services.

It was one of four fake passport laboratories used by the gang discovered in Albania. Another seven were found in Greece, where several of the suspected gang members operated.

Illegal migrants were mostly sent first to countries including France, Germany, Italy, Norway or Greece, before flying to the UK, US or Canada using their fake documents to gain entry. Others travelled overland to France, where they met up with another people-smuggling cell, who arranged for them to take buses, cars, trains or trucks.

An investigation by Dutch newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad" exposes the horrible reality behind the world of young pimps or 'loverboys'. Young men, who are mostly from migrant backgrounds, blackmail and abuse hundreds of minor girls in the Netherlands every single year.

The newspaper contacted social workers, the police and experts on the subject. The newspaper writes that the young pimps are mostly Moroccans, Turks, Antilleans or Romanians. Quickly earning money and power are their main goals.

Floor 't Sas, a psychologist who works with the victims, notes that social media is used to blackmail the girls. According to her, footage is being made of the girls having sex with their boyfriends or with a 'loverboy'. Afterwards this is enough to blackmail them to become illegal sex workers.

Marijke van Overveld of the Dutch police says: "We are talking about almost 1,400 minor victims yearly." Overveld mentions the process of seducing and blackmailing the girls has shortened from months to two weeks or less.

While several grooming gang cases have been highlighted in the UK, the horrible abuse of minor girls is alive in the Netherlands as well. Like in the UK, most of the pimps in the Netherlands have migrant backgrounds.

Teenage Gang's 'Terrifying Lynching' of Migrant Drug Dealer Shocks France

French police have arrested three people after an African migrant drug dealer was beaten to death in broad daylight by a gang of teenagers in southern France.

Before horrified onlookers in the town of Pau, the man was brutally kicked, punched, and beaten with a plastic chair leg and a piece of wood by a group of up to 12 teenagers, local media reported.

The victim, 32, had a history of violent criminality and drug dealing, and his attackers were described as teenagers aged between 12 and 17.

The French press has dubbed it a "terrifying lynching".

Cecile Gensac, a local prosecutor, confirmed Monday three people had been arrested in relation to the murder. The victim was revealed as a French national born in Burkina Faso, West Africa, who had recently moved from Paris.

"The man died Friday in the street in an area of Pau after a group attacked him," she told AFP.

The Saragosse housing estate, where the attack happened, is known for its high levels of crime and is typical of many deprived, high-immigration urban areas of France. Gérard Collomb, France's Minister of the Interior, promised more police in the area following the murder.

Belgiassa poliisi jahtasi toissayönä pakua, jossa oli kyydissä noin 30 kurdiläpsyttelijää. 2-vuotiasta tyttöä oli pidetty syystä tai toisesta auton ulkopuolella ikkunasta ja jossain välissä tämä sai sitten luodin päähänsä.

Poliisit saivat lopulta pakun kiinni, kun se törmäsi toiseen ajoneuvoon.

An Egyptian tourist has shown no remorse for raping three women he met online as he is jailed for 12 years.

Adel Nafady raped his first victim a couple of months after arriving in Australia to study in February 2015.

The 31-year-old met all three women through dating sites such as OkCupid and Plenty of Fish and later raped them in his Windsor flat.

He has been sentenced to 12 years' and four months' jail, with a non-parole period of seven-and-a-half years.

'A signal has to be sent to those who use such sites to meet females ... that mere participation on such sites does not mean they have consented to any or all sexual activity,' Victorian County Court Judge Damian Murphy said, while sentencing Nafady on Friday.

Nafady's three victims, foreign women aged in their 20s and 30s, were vulnerable and had trusted him, the judge said.

One woman from Colombia, who spoke limited English, went to his home after he promised to review her CV so she could get a job.

Nafady repeatedly asked her to be his girlfriend and tried to hug and kiss her.

The woman tried to run out the front door, but Nafady blocked her and eventually pinned her down, grabbing her throat before raping her.

'She felt like she was going to die that night,' Judge Murphy said.

Another victim was raped after the pair connected on Plenty of Fish and had drinks together in a bar.

He told her she was 'overreacting' after the attack.

Nafady's third victim, a woman from Hong Kong, had been in Australia for two days when she was raped.

Police Seek 'Asian' Man After Teen Suffers 'Horrific' Alleyway Rape in Small English Village

Police have launched a manhunt for an 'Asian' man after a teenager in a small Buckinghamshire village was raped in an alleyway.

The victim was standing in an alleyway in Hazlemere, an English village known to date back more than 800 years, at around 8 p.m. on March 15th when a stranger grabbed her and proceeded to rape her, police said.

Appealing for information from the public on Friday, Thames Valley Police released an e-fit of the attacker, described as "an Asian man, around thirty to forty-year-old, short and of large build, with a tattoo on his forearm."

Investigating officer Detective Constable David Mitchell of Force CID based at High Wycombe said: "We have been conducting a thorough investigation into this horrific offence and the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

"As part of this investigation, today we are releasing an E-fit of the offender and would ask anyone who recognises him or someone matching his description to please come forward and call 101.

"This is a serious offence and we have been carrying out house to house enquiries, as well as reviewing any available CCTV and collecting witness statements," he said.

Police are hunting a black man with an accent "similar" to a Jamaican accent who dragged a 19-year-old male student into an alley and sexually assaulted him in Plymouth, England.

The teenager was walking along Armada Street near Drake's Reservoir in the early hours of Thursday morning when he was approached by a man who engaged him in conversation, Plymouth Live reports.

The man, described as 5'4″, black, with short dark hair and speaking with a "foreign" accent "similar" to a Jamaican accent, wasted little time before dragging the victim down an alleyway running between Amity Place and Waterloo Street in North Hill and subjecting him to an "oral rape".

Police officers with Plymouth's Sexual Offences and Domestic Abuse Investigation Team (SODAIT) have launched an inquiry, telling Plymouth Live they hope residents around the area of Greenbank and North Hill can come forward with CCTV footage recorded between 2:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m.

Syrian Asylum Seeker in Germany Commits 400 Crimes in Two Years

A 21-year-old Syrian asylum seeker has been accused of committing over 400 crimes, including drug offences, thefts, and robberies, within the span of two years as part of a gang terrorising an area in the German town of Plauen.

Hatem H., who came to Germany at the height of the migrant crisis in October of 2015, has been accused of being part of a notorious gang in Plauen known as the "Tunnelgang" which has terrorised people in the areas around Postplatz, German tabloid Bild reports.

The 21-year-old was in court this week accused of 13 of the suspect 400 suspected offences after being arrested in November. The Syrian is said to be incredibly aggressive and has threatened judicial officials, started fights with other prisoners, and smashed up his cell.

The arrest came only a month after he was convicted in October 2017 and sentenced to 8 months' probation for dangerous bodily harm.

The set of 13 charges include robbery, assault, assault leading to injury, and uttering threats. In one instance, Hatem H. is said to have stabbed a passerby and smashed a beer bottle over the man's head after getting into a dispute.

Young migrant gangs have become a problem in many German cities following the migrant crisis. In the German capital of Berlin, the area of Alexanderplatz has been turned into a borderline no-go zone by youth gangs who rob locals and sell potentially lethal designer drugs called "Bonzai" and "Spice".

In Cologne, the area of Eberplatz has been labelled a no-go area by German media with police responding to thousands of incidents in the first nine months of 2017.

The revelation of emerging migrant-dominated areas led German Chancellor Angela Merkel to make a landmark admission in March saying that no-go zones not only exist in Germany but that the state should act to make sure it maintains "the monopoly of power".

Bild-lehden mukaan junassa oli kuulutettu poliisia apuun kahden miehen välisen tappelun vuoksi. Riita oli eskaloitunut 20 kilometriä ennen Flensburgin asemaa. Junassa matkustanut naispoliisi oli tullut selvittämään tappelua, kun toinen miehistä oli vetänyt esiin puukon ja iskenyt sillä toista. Tämän jälkeen epäilty hyökkäsi teräaseen kanssa myös poliisin kimppuun, jolloin poliisi ampui hänet kuoliaaksi.

Mies haavoittui Bildin mukaan teräaseesta vakavasti, naispoliisi lievästi. Tapauksen taustat ovat poliisin mukaan "tällä hetkellä täysin epäselvät", Spiegel-lehti kertoi. DPA:n mukaan iskulla ei ole viitteitä yhteydestä islamismiin?

Liikemies Zahid Naseem, 47, oli eilen oikeudessa Etelä-Englannin Hovessa kuulemassa syytteet 29-vuotiaan naisen murhasta. Uhri on puoliksi suomalainen, sillä hänen äitinsä on suomalainen.

Naisen oli määrä juhlia 29-vuotissyntymäpäiviään viime perjantaina ystäviensä kanssa Lontoossa. Viranomaiset löysivät naisen kotoaan Crawleysta Länsi-Sussexin kreivikunnasta puoli yhdentoista aikaan samana iltana. Hän makasi sängyssään kuolleena.

Uhrin suomalainen äiti kertoi brittimediassa, että perheenjäsenten oli määrä juhlia rakastetun tyttären syntymäpäivää yhdessä viime sunnuntaina.

- Olemme surun murtamia, ja perheeni Suomessa on järkyttynyt, he ovat aivan murskana, äiti kertoi Mirror-lehdessä.

Uhrin siteet Suomeen olivat selvästi lujat. Hän oli esimerkiksi muuttanut viime joulukuussa Facebook-profiilikuvansa Suomi 100 -teemaiseksi itsenäisyyspäivän kunniaksi.

Brittiläisen isän mukaan tyttärellä oli paljon ystäviä, mutta kukaan ei olisi koskaan ajatellut, että hänellä voisi olla vihollisia. Uhri oli muuttanut väliaikaisesti ystävänsä asuntoon, kun ystävä oli matkustanut Thaimaahan.

Suomalaissyntyinen nainen ei ollut koskaan maininnut vanhemmilleen miehestä, jota syytetään hänen murhastaan. Poliisin mukaan kaksikko kuitenkin tunsi toisensa.

Isä kertoi perheen olevan sokissa murhasta. Isän mukaan tyttärellä oli ollut aiemmin poikaystäviä, mutta viime aikoina ei ketään.

Oikeudenkäynti joulukuussa

Poliisin mukaan uhria oli hakattu päähän esineellä, Daily Mail -lehti kertoi. Alustava kuolinsyy on päävammasta johtuva verenvuoto.

Zahid Naseem ilmoitti torstaina oikeudessa ainoastaan nimensä, syntymäaikansa ja sen, että hän on Britannian kansalainen. Hän saapui oikeussaliin verryttelypuvussa ja silmälaseissa.

Brittilehdet kertoivat, että Naseem työskenteli viime lokakuuhun asti pörssivälittäjäyhtiö Peel Huntissa Lontoossa. Hän on lisäksi kahden liikkeenjohdon konsultointiyrityksen johtaja.

Naseem palaa oikeuden eteen videolinkin välityksellä seuraavan kerran heinäkuussa. Murhaoikeudenkäynti käydään joulukuussa, oikeus ilmoitti.
