Luulisi Volvolla menevän hyvin, ainakin kotimaassa myynti käy kun häkä. Tai onkohan kilpurit tuoneet vähemmän paloherkkiä menopelejä? Monikulttuuria ei ole riittävästi sillä Ruotsissa on häpeällisen vanha autokanta. Ruotsalaiset joutuvat ajamaan keskimäärin 9,8 vuotta vanhoilla autoilla. Ainoastaan täällä junttilassa ja persaukiset kreikkalaiset ja portugalilaiset ajavat vanhemmilla autoilla.

Saksan viranomaiset tutkivat parhaillaan erikoista tapausta, jossa mies pääsi tunkeutumaan muun muassa Saksan liittokanslerin Angela Merkelin käyttämään suihkukoneeseen kansainvälisellä lentoasemalla. Asiasta kertoo Britannian yleisradioyhtiö BBC.

24-vuotias mies ehti viettää Kölnin-Bonnin lentoasemalla olleessa koneessa lähes neljä tuntia ilmeisesti alushousuisilleen riisuutuneena.

Hän paineli umpimähkään useita koneen säätönappeja, avasi hätätilanteissa käytettävän liukumäen ja tyhjensi palosammuttimen koneen ylellisille plyysipenkeille.

Tapahtumat saivat alkunsa, kun paikallinen asukas huijasi tiensä lentoaseman sotilaskäyttöön varattuihin osiin.

Mies pääsi portista läpi, kun hän kertoi suunnittelevansa alueella sijaitsevaan rakennukseen häitä.

Alueelta hän kiipesi rautalanka-aidan yli sotilaslentokentälle – jostain syystä herättämättä valvontakameroiden huomiota.

Kentällä mies huomasi Saksan hallituksen käytössä olevan Airbus A319 -koneen. Hän kiipesi koneen siivelle, jossa hän BBC:n mukaan alkoi tanssia alusvaatteisillaan.

Koneen siiveltä mies onnistui avaamaan koneen hätäuloskäynnin ja pääsi sisälle koneeseen ja sen ohjaamoon, joka oli lukitsematta. Ohjaamossa hän alkoi painella kaikkia nappeja ja laukaisi lopulta hälytyksen.

Mies ehti olla koneessa lähes neljä tuntia ennen kuin poliisi sai hänet kiinni.

Mies aiheutti lähes sadantuhannen euron vahingot luvattoman vierailunsa aikana. Nyt kone on jo otettu uudelleen käyttöön. Tapaus sattui heinäkuun lopussa.

Miehen epäillään käyttäneen huumeita ennen tapahtumia. Hänellä oli lentoasemalla mukanaan kassi, jossa oli ilmeisesti ekstaasia ja marihuanaa.

Berliiniläinen sanomalehti Welt am Sonntag on vuotanut BBC:n mukaan julkisuuteen poliisidokumentin tapahtumien kulusta. Se paljastaa heikkouksia lentoaseman turvallisuudessa sekä useita ilmavoimien tekemiä virheitä.

Epäilty on viety psykiatriseen hoitoon. Hän on ilmeisesti turkkilaisperäinen kehonrakentaja, jota poliisi ei tuntenut entuudestaan.

WWII veteran Delbert Belton survived being wounded in action during the Battle of Okinawa only to be beaten and left for dead by two teens at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane on Wednesday evening.

Belton, 88, succumbed to his injuries Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Witnesses say Belton was in the parking lot of the Eagles Lodge at 6410 N. Lidgerwood, adjacent to the Eagles Ice-A-Rena, around 8 p.m. Wednesday when the two male suspects attacked him as he was about to head inside to play pool.

Police responded with K-9s to track the suspects' scent but were not able to locate them.

"It does appear random. He was in the parking lot, it appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault," Spokane Police Major Crimes Detective Lieutenant Mark Griffiths said.

Belton died from his injuries Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

"Shorty," as he was known by his friends at the Eagles Lodge, served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and was shot in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa. He went on to work at Kaiser Aluminum at the company's Trentwood plant for more than 30 years. Belton's wife passed away several years ago.

He loved playing pool, even though he claimed he was no good at it and had been a member of the Eagles Lodge for the last four months. In addition to playing pool he loved working on cars.

Shorty was Ted Denison's best friend of 23 years; the two played pool occasionally and worked on cars daily.

"He was always there for me when I needed him," Denison said. "We'd joke back and forth. We were always having fun, some sort of fun."

He was the kind of nice old man who'd become your friend in minutes.

"Probably every time I come into town, he'd have a project for me to do," Denison said. "I thought of him more as a dad than I did a friend really."

Now, with the suspects still at large and the Spokane Police Department working to track them down, Shorty's friends are hoping for justice.

"I don't understand how somebody could do this. I really don't," Denison said.

Spokane police are looking for two male suspects in the attack. They said the suspects are African Americans between 16 and 19 years old. One suspect was described as heavy set and wearing all black clothing. The other was described as being about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. There was no description of what clothing the second suspect was wearing other than a silk do-rag.

23.8.2013: Cirkus avbröt efter stenkastande "ungdomar"

I Bårslöv, en tätort i mångkulturella Helsingborgs kommun, satte ett gäng "ungdomar" igång med att kasta sten mot Cirkus Bambinos lastbilar. Efter runt 20 minuter in i föreställningen på torsdagskvällen fick cirkusarrangörerna nog och avbröt tillställningen, till alla barns förtvivlan.


Arrangören fick nog efter att de "stökiga ungdomarna" först försökt att tränga sig in i cirkustälten, men fick tji och kom inte in. Förmodligen blev då dessa "ungdomar", som etniciteten inte uppges på, kränkta av att inte släppas in gratis så de drog igång den traditionella stenkastningen som vissa grupper i samhället så gärna använder sig av när de är missnöjda med något.

Arrangören erbjöd publiken pengarna tillbaka eller en ny chans att besöka fredagens föreställning i Gantofta, uppger HD.se. Enligt en besökare hade arrangören efter incidenten uttalat att inte polisanmäla händelsen. Tyvärr tyvärr. Detta var inte första gången som Cirkus Bambino. För tre år sedan hände samma sak – och märkligt nog på samma plats - i Bårslöv. Tänk att några få alltid ska förstöra för majoriteten.

An activist at Oberlin College invents evidence of a racial crime that never happened.

The progressive insistence that America remains a deeply racist nation occasionally takes on an air of desperation, transmuting itself in its more difficult moments into the perverse, almost infantile, asseveration that if America is not sinful, it should be. On rare occasions this instinct spills over into straight-up mendacity, which is exactly what happened this year at Oberlin College, whose long nightmare of "campus racism" — swastikas, profane attacks on Black History Month, and even a sighting of the KKK — culminated in the predictable revelation that the whole affair had been a nasty hoax perpetrated by an overzealous Organizing for Action volunteer.

Worse, the website Legal Insurrection, which smelled a rat from the beginning, confirmed that "school officials and local police knew the identity of the culprits, who were responsible for most if not all of such incidents on campus, yet remained silent as the campus reacted as if the incidents were real."

Fake hate crimes, which occur primarily on college campuses, are a peculiar feature of American life. Hoaxers operate on a bizarre premise: If evidence to support their political claims isn't available when they need it to be, well then, they'll just have to "find" some. Deep down, the hoaxer knows that his fellow citizens are racist and terrible; he knows that the downtrodden are suffering at the hands of people unlike him; and he knows that there is "so much more work to do." And so, if his campus isn't beset by the disgraceful bigotry of which he knows everyone is secretly guilty, then he'll have to invent some against which heroically to fight.
The beauty of this trick is that there are an awful lot of people out there at a higher level of influence who feel precisely the same way — people who will jump like starved heroin addicts to devour the rare fix with which they've been provided. Chris Matthews has run so short of actual evidence that the people of the United States are as monstrous as he hopes they are that he was recently reduced to explaining with a straight face that conservatives are disrespecting the president by using his last name. The prospect of some real campus racism is an oasis against the desert, offering as it does the chance to play Rosa Parks on television and, crucially, to assuage a small part of the crushing disappointment and misplaced guilt that the MSNBC set apparently feels for not having been born during the civil-rights movement.

The method by which the architects of fake hate crimes elect to raise awareness is functionally indistinguishable from that of the show trial. As dictators of all stripes justify their behavior on the grounds that the message is more important than are the facts of the case — or, for that matter, than is the sacred innocence of the falsely accused — so the perpetrators of "hate crime" hoaxes have their own elevated ideologies, into whose service real lives must be pressed. Objective truth is just a casualty of the plan — an inconvenience that must be ruthlessly subjugated to the narrative. It would presumably come as an unpleasant surprise to these miscreants that their behavior carries the very whiff of totalitarian mania that they believe themselves to be denouncing. But it does.

It carries hints of mental illness, too. One of the guilty students at Oberlin, Dylan Bleier, appears genuinely to have regarded himself as a freedom fighter. Bleier was a member of the Ithaca White Allies Against Structural Racism, which he characterized as existing to "eradicate structural racism in Tompkins County [N.Y.], via forums discussing racism." "Structural racism" is essentially a way of saying "invisible racism" without sounding like a ghost hunter. That is to say that, in the absence of actual racism, those whose worldview requires bigotry to be ubiquitous in America have moved to more sophisticated pastures, alternating between arguing that pretty much everything is racist and "discovering" that foundational and colorblind concepts such as free speech, trial by jury, the right to bear arms, and the rule of law are in fact tools of racial oppression.

An Obama volunteer and self-professed "atheist, pacifist, environmentalist, libertarian socialist, consequentialist," Bleier, expressing joy when president Obama discussed the Zimmerman trial, tweeted that "Zimmerman is just the tip of the iceberg, a single highly visible symptom of the racist system that is 'succeeding' in the US." Those wondering to what he was referring must understand that George Zimmerman's "racism," of which there is no objective evidence whatsoever, is "visible" only to people who can see such things. These are the same savants who were thrilled when Maureen Dowd proved herself capable of hearing a phantom racial word, "boy," at the end of Joe Wilson's "you lie" interruption in 2010. And if you can see what nobody else can — if you are able to provide that key piece of spectral evidence that will convict the dastardly witch or save that eternal soul — then you had sure as hell better show the jury.

This phenomenon, people maintaining their views regardless of the evidence to the contrary, is inextricable from the peculiar way in which Americans who readily admit that they "never thought" they'd see a black president in their lifetime refuse to alter their assessments of their country's racial virtue now that they find themselves in a black president's second term. It is related, too, to the red-faced insistence of many that the trial of George Zimmerman demonstrated that there are legions of Americans out there just itching to take advantage of a loophole in self-defense law and gun down a person of another race. And the ugly truth is that they want this to be true. Not for nothing did the New York Times invent the term "white Hispanic" or Touré risibly demand that Zimmerman be referred to as a "Peruvian American." The facts didn't suit the case — so the facts had to change.

Ultimately, Touré, Dowd, Bleier, and a sad and flighty cast of other hustlers, are in the business of being heroes. And, while the deck is stacked in favor of those who cry "Witch," there is little incentive for them to stop. Meg Lanker-Simons, an activist and student at the University of Wyoming who sent fake rape threats to herself, not only enjoyed being the much-comforted victim of the "disgusting, misogynistic" attack that she had contrived but also got to lead the speeches condemning it. At Oberlin, Bleier and his partner in crime, Matt Alden, watched as their deception went national. Actress Lena Dunham made an issue out of the fracas on Twitter; MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry devoted substantial airtime to the scandal, inviting Ta-Nehisi Coates on to discuss racism at large; CNN and the New York Times covered the protests.

Closer to home, the Asian/Pacific American Alumni Association wrote to "express our solidarity" with the students who spoke out, and students at Williams College wrote to Oberlin during the sham and assured their contemporaries a few states over that they were "not alone in [their] struggle." In that letter from Williams, signatories observed that, "as a family, we are stronger than the demons that we face." Little did they know that, once again, the demon being faced in Ohio was not racism, it was not anti-Semitism, and it was not bigotry. It was mendacity.

A FATHER is appealing for information after his 15-year old daughter was brutally attacked outside an exclusive Marbella disco.

Nicole Zanlith was waiting for a taxi with a friend outside the Olivia Valere discotheque when an argument broke out at around 7am.

She stepped in to defend her friend when the attackers turned on her, thrusting a bottle in her face and leaving her with six gashes on her forehead and one across her eye.

The six attackers left the scene on foot and the girl's father, a Danish resident in Marbella, is offering a reward of €2000 for information leading to the arrest of the attackers.

Zanlith, who had been to see French DJ Bob Sinclair at the venue, has been left blind in one eye.

After various days of investigation, police have succeeded in determining the identity of the alleged attacker, who was accompanied by five friends, all of them of North African origin, according to witnesses. However, as yet it has not been possible to apprehend the suspect, who is a minor. The different sources consulted confirmed that a search and arrest order has been issued in connection with the injuries caused to the young girl.

Briton butchered by machete gang in Kenya paradise
A RETIRED British Army officer has been butchered to death in a night-time raid on his African home by an armed gang, it emerged last night.

Lieutenant Colonel David Parkinson, 56, died after he and his wife Sonja were attacked at their ranch in Laikipia, Kenya, on Saturday.

Police said the five-member gang entered the couple's bedroom at their Rift Valley home by breaking a glass door with a stone.

They ordered the couple to hand over their firearms and all their money.

Local reports suggest the gang took 300 Kenyan shillings – equivalent to just £2.19 – a bottle of champagne and a mobile phone.

It was claimed that Lt Col Parkinson bled to death after having his left hand cut off.

Well known for his conservation work in the north of Kenya, Lt Col Parkinson was a company director and had worked in the country for most of the past decade after retiring from the forces in 2003.

He had also served as deputy director at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy after a 30-year career for which he was awarded a military OBE in 1998.

Lt Col Parkinson was also the director of the eastern unit of the Laikipia Wildlife Forum.

He was a staunch believer in involving local communities when trying to protect wildlife.

Former colleague David Blair paid tribute to Lt Col Parkinson saying: "You were a good boss and always made time to talk to the blokes."

Lt Col Parkinson moved to the picturesque Lolldaiga Hills following his retirement. He also instructed students at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.

He had graduated from the prestigious military college after leaving Brighton, Hove and Sussex Grammar School.

During his three decades in the Army he served in the First and Second Battalions of The Parachute Regiment as well as a spell in the Depot, The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces.

He gained a masters degree in Military Leadership and Management from Staff College, Camberley.

Following the attack, the Kenyan government has pledged to beef up security in the area.

Interior principle secretary Mutea Iringo said: "The government has assured investors that it will provide security to them.

"This follows the murder of Laikipia businessman David Parkinson."

Liian hidas poliisiauto - eteläinen veri kuohahti jälleen kerran Berliinin maahanmuuttajarikkaimmassa ja monista väkivaltaongelmistaan tunnetussa Neuköllnin kaupunginosassa: kaksi nuorta miestä kiilasi bemarillaan Karl Marx-kadulla mielestään liian hitaasti ajaneen poliisiauton eteen, syytti siinä istunutta kahta poliisia ja yhtä poliisikoululaista liian hitaasta ajamisesta ja alkoi pahoinpidellä heitä nyrkeillään. Viimeksi kuluneiden kahden ja puolen vuoden aikana Oslon alueella Norjassa on Aftenpostenin mukaan tuomittu ainakin 352 turvapaikanhakijaa vankeuteen tai sakkoihin. Suurin yhteinen nimittäjä tuomituille on huumeet.

Lehti kertoo esimerkkinä oikeuden istunnosta, jossa 30-vuotias Guineasta kotoisin oleva turvapaikanhakija on oikeudenjakajien tentattavana. Vuoden 2011 syyskuussa viideksi vuodeksi Norjasta karkotettu mies palasi maahan tämän vuoden kesäkuun 5. päivä. Kaksi päivää myöhemmin poliisi pidätti hänet huumeiden hallussapidosta. Osoitetta miehellä ei ole ja ammattia kysyttäessä hän vastaa työskentelevänsä espanjalaisessa urheiluliikkeessä.

Lehden mukaan elokuun alusta lähtien Norjassa on rekisteröity 6 257 uutta turvapaikanhakijaa. Vastaanottokeskuksissa asuu 15 798 henkilöä.

Turvapaikanhakijoiden tekemistä rikoksista tai niiden laadusta ei Aftenpostenin mukaan ole olemassa virallista tilastoa, koska viranomaiset eivät sellaista pidä yllä. Sen sijaan lehden oman selvityksen mukaan Oslossa ja sen ympäristössä sijaitsevissa vastaanottokeskuksissa kukoistaa laaja rikollisuus.

Selvityksen perusteella suuri osa tuomituista on elättänyt itsensä huumeiden myynnillä sekä varkauksilla asuessaan norjalaisessa vastaanottokeskuksessa ja nauttien sen etuuksista.

Vuoden 2011 tammikuun alusta tämän vuoden elokuun 21. päivään mennessä oikeusistuimet Oslon alueella ovat tuominneet 352 turvapaikanhakijaa. Yli puolet tuomioista on johtunut huumeista. Lisäksi 14 prosenttia tuomioista on johtunut asiakirjaväärennöksistä, lähinnä vääristä henkilöllisyyspapereista.

Reilussa viidesosassa tapauksista syytetty on rikkonut kolmea tai useampaa rikoslain pykälää. Lisäksi ainakin 36 prosentissa tapauksista syytetty asuu vastaanottokeskuksessa.

Taannoisen raportin mukaan etenkin ex-Neuvostoliiton alueelta tulevat "ryöstävät järjestelmällisesti kaiken vastaantulevan, koska tietävät, että seuraukset ovat pieniä ja helposti hoidettavia". Vastaanottokeskusten ja pakolaisjärjestöjen johtajat syyttävät turvapaikanhakijoiden rikoksista köyhyyttä, lähtömaiden korkeaa rikollisuuden tasoa ja pitkää odotteluaikaa vastaanottokeskuksissa.
