According to the President of Haaga-Helia, Ritva Laakso-Manninen the good reputation of Finnish education system has continued growing since the American magazine Newsweek proclaimed Finland as the best country in the world.
Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and EduCluster Finland have established a major cooperation agreement with the Saudi Arabian Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, TVTC. According to Haaga-Helia this is one of the biggest contracts in the history of Finnish education exports.

This October and November Haaga-Helia will host a delegation of 73 Saudi Arabian experts and leaders in the field of education, who will familiarise themselves with Finnish vocational education. "The Secrets of Finnish Success – Leadership Excellence in Education" programme has been tailor-made to meet the visitors' interests. The delegates will be familiarised with the Finnish education system and forms of cooperation between Finnish universities of applied sciences and the business community in four two-week periods.

– The market for vocational higher education is growing strongly around the world. There is ever-increasing demand on Finnish education expertise and the outlook for the export of Finnish education is very good, says Ritva Laakso-Manninen, President, Haaga-Helia

Cooperation with the Saudi Arabian partners was sparked last year during a preparatory visit to the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riad.

Saudi Arabia will invest significantly in the development of vocational higher education in the coming years. The country currently has over 50 institutes of higher education providing vocational education, but the aim is to establish 100 new institutes of higher education for more than 500,000 students within the next 10 years.

The project has been prepared in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Education and Finpro.

QuoteNouseekohan nyt saudien sivistystaso ja PISA-tulokset?

Huh, toivottavasti kukaan ei uskalla sanoa ääneen, mistä Suomen hyvät PISA-tulokset versus muu Eurooppa johtuvat, koska tuohan haiskahtaa bisnekseltä.
What would Gösta Sundqvist do?
