Kööpenhaminan Nørrebron kaupunginosassa olevan Netton liike joutui sulkemaan sen jälkeen kun henkilöstö oli joutnut useiden väkivallantekojen ja uhkailujen kohteeksi.

Imaami Abdul Wahid Pedersen on ilmoittanut halunsa välittäjäksi paikallisen nuorison kanssa. Imaamin välittely halu on saanut paikalliset poliitikot raivoihinsa. Sosiaalidemokraatti Lars Aslam Rasmussen: "On vaarallista kehitystä, että uskonnolliset henkilöt joutuvat olemaan välittäjinä." Netto has closed down its Blågårdsgade store after its employees were injured and threatened in two separate incidents

Two unrelated violent incidents at a Netto supermarket in the city's Nørrebro district have led to the store's management closing it down until order can be restored.

Last week, four customers attacked the store's staff after being told to change queues when one of the tills malfunctioned. One of the employee's jaws was broken in the attack.

Just days later, a group of young men threatened an employee and threw bottles at him and the store while he was opening the supermarket in the morning.

In addition to the attacks on the employees, the store's windows were shattered, and on Wednesday morning Netto's management made the decision to temporarily close down the store.

Police have arrested one of the men responsible for last week's attack, but are still looking for at least two more caught on the store's video camera. A police spokesman added that they also believe they know the group responsible for the second incident.

The City Council has now promised to take measures to help curb the violence and get the store reopened.

A Netto supermarket in the Nørrebro disctrict was the site of a melee resulting in two cashiers being taken to hospital

Two employees of supermarket chain Netto were attacked by customers yesterday evening after a checkout till malfunctioned.

According to Ekstra Bladet newspaper, the customers at the Nørrebro district store became aggressive after being told they had to go to the back of the other open queue.

The two employees were hospitalised after the assault, and four men caught on the store's video camera are being sought by police.
