Espanjan Cordobassa pidettiin romanien eurooppalainen kokous. Euroopassa on 12 miljoonaa mustalaista ja Espanjassa n. 700 000. Kokouksessa käsiteltiin mm. mustalaisten integroitumista ja syrjintää.

Tanska:  Amagerin kaupungin alueella on leiriytynyt suuri joukko itä-eurooppalaisia. Poliisi olettaa, että suurinosa leiriläisistä ruokkii itsensä rikoksenpoluilla. Kaikenlisäksi nämä maahanmuuttajat ovat muuttaaneet luonnollisen virheralueen roskikseksi...jäämme odottamaan viranomaisten ihmettelyä.

Unsanitary conditions at illegal camps in the city's Amager district have got police and city departments together to work on a solution

A large group of people presumably from eastern Europe have settled illegally in several camps in the city's Amager district, reported TV2 News.

Police believe that many of the groups' members in the camps at Amager Common likely sustain themselves through criminal activity.

Over the past two months the immigrant groups have turned the natural green area into a virtual trash bin, according to Copenhagen Police spokesman Richard Østerlund La Cour. He added that the invasion has created considerable insecurity among the nearby residents and park visitors.

'It's very depressing. The conditions these people are living in are extremely deplorable and unsanitary,' said La Cour.

La Cour said police have now joined forces with the Copenhagen Council in an attempt to create an overview of the extent of the illegal camps.

'Once we receive information about any new camps or groups who have settled in various places, we'll make a record of it,' said La Cour. 'Then we can collaborate with the council on localising the worst spots and getting them cleaned up.'

The city's Center for Parks and Nature, confirmed that the illegal immigrant camps are on the increase in the city's green areas, also pointing to several previously set up at Amager's Ørstedsparken.

Top human rights expert advocates begging ban

Claims foreign beggars are victims of human trafficking.

Hanne Sophie Greve, President of the Council of Europe's Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) and human rights expert, believes foreign beggars that come to Norway are victims of human trafficking.

She'd like to see a ban imposed, claiming authorities passively encourage the human trade by not investigating whether beggars are the victims of coercion or exploitation.

"We know that large-scale trafficking in conjunction with begging, theft, or a mixture of both, takes place in Romania and neighbouring countries. We also know it's very brutal, and is a variant of the modern slave trade," she tells Aftenposten.

Greve goes on to say closing one's eyes to the problem just makes it worse, especially when it comes to children being forced to go round the streets begging.

"We have information from Romania that Gypsies have been exposed to powerful groups that have forced children and adults out on the streets of Europe, compelling them to beg and steal," she told Bergens Tidende (BT) at the end of last year.

Ban

Police believe this summer will see an explosion of begging, triggered by the economic crisis in Europe. Bjørn Hansen, chief of Oslo's Sentrum station, tells Afteposten provisional border reports have indicated this year certainly won't be better than last.

Trondheim is also experiencing violent confrontations by rival gangs of beggars for the best places in the city.

Greve believes a prohibition against begging is the way to go, and encourages Norwegians to stop giving beggars money when the pass them on the street.

"Criminal groups follow different countries' laws and regulations closely. They exploit any loopholes they can find. But there's no reason to travel to a country you can't afford to live in," she says.

Pitkään España'ssa olleena, voin kertoa Gitano'jen olevan siellä lähinnä koiran asemassa.
Asustelevat metsiin väsätyissä leireissä, elättävät itsensä kerjäämällä, varastelemalla ja huijaamalla turisteja erilaisin pelein markkinoilla jne...[sosiaaliluukku ei ole Gitano'ille] kunnes asukkaat saavat valituksin Policia Local'in potkimaan ne seuraavaan La Comunidad'in tai poliisipiirin alueelle ja vastuulle.
PerusHispano on edelleen melkoisen ylpeää luonnetta, johtunee España'n entisestä asemasta suurvaltana ja maailmanvalloittajana, eikä siedä katukerjäläisiä ja varkaita koska ne on haitaksi turismille.

Alunperin Intiasta olevat mannet, Gypsies, Gitanos ovat jotain 400 vuotta yrittäneet sopeutua eurooppalaisuuteen, eivät ole missään onnistuneet.
Miksi?
Luonne sopii paremmin paimentolaisuuteen, vaelteluun, kuljeksimiseen ja irtolaisuuteen.
Mihinkään ei olla valmiita juurtumaan ja antamaan omaa panosta yhteiskunnan hyväksi, esimerkiksi alkamalla tekemään verotettavaa duunia.
Toki muutamaa yksittäistapausta lukuunottamatta.

Bulgarians arrested for child prostitution in France

French police have arrested a group of ethnic Roma accused of forcing their eight children to work as street prostitutes in Bordeaux, southwest France, prosecutors said.

The four men and five women, all Bulgarian nationals, were arrested Tuesday during a police raid on squats and apartments in Bordeaux and charged with procuring prostitutes.

Eight boys, some as young as 12, were taken into child care custody and a special judge dealing with child protection is to rule on their case, officials said.

The Bulgarian parents, aged between 33 and 44, were arrested as part of a police investigation launched in December into some 20 boys being forced to walk the streets in the city.

The "network was spreading" and many "clients from outside Bordeaux" were being drawn to the area where the boys were selling sex, said police commissioner Alexandre Desporte.

Three of the parents could face up to 15 years in prison for forcing children under 12 into prostitution while the other five face up to 10 years as their boys were aged 15 and 16.

Tsekki: Apartheid alkaa jo koulussa, joka kolmas romanilapsi on sijoitettu henkisestivajaiden kouluun ja miltei kaikki loput mustalaisten kouluihin.

Maailman pankin laskelmien mukaan romaanit maksavat 650 miljoonaa euroa Tsekille johtuen siitä, että heitä ei kouluteta tarpeeksi ja saateta tuottavaan työhön.

Apartheid begins in the school

A third of Roma children in the Czech Republic attend special schools for the mentally handicapped. A situation against which a number of associations are speaking out, and which ends up backfiring on the state when it has to foot the social and economic bill.

According to recent estimates by the World Bank, Roma cost the Czech Republic no less than 16 billion crowns (€650m) a year. Though it isn't so much the Roma themselves, we should add, but their maladjustment to society. The experts say this phenomenon is chiefly due to the below-average level of education most Romani children receive, after which they have no chance whatsoever of landing a decent job. And the state is losing money because unemployed Roma do not create any economic value or pay taxes, though they do draw social security benefits. The World Bank figure does not allow for such "incidental costs" as the mediocre quality of life for socially excluded Roma, mounting social tensions, ethnic conflicts, crime and so on and so forth.

For over 30 years psychologist Petr Klíma has been working in a child counselling centre, of which he is now the head. It is centres like his that recommend placement in "special schools". Based on his experience, "Roma kids fail the tests en masse. I'm not inventing, it's a fact: 80% of them are borderline mentally retarded." Klíma feels Roma families ought to be grateful that special schools exist, thanks to which their children can acquire the rudiments of literacy.

Tsekki: Kyselytutkimuksen mukaan 3/4 tsekkiläisistä ei pidä romaaneista.
Tsekit puolestaan pitävät itsensä lisäksi slovakeista, puolalaisista ja juutalaisista.

Itävalta: Poliisi on pidättänyt 10 kerjäläisjengin vetäjää syytettynä ihmiskaupasta. Uhrit joutuivat maksamaan 100 euroa päästäkseen kerjäysjengin jäseniksi. Poliisin mukaan uhreja oli hakattu mikäli nämä eivät keränneet tarpeeksi rahaa. Itävallan viranomaiset toimittavat pidätetyt Romaniaan tuomittaviksi.

Vienna beggar gang dismantled by police

A gang of ten members who engaged in human-trafficking and forced 42 people to beg in Austrian capital Vienna has been dismantled by the police, it was announced today (Mon).

Ten members of the gang were arrested, five of them in Vienna who will be extradited to Romania to stand trial.

Most of the 42 identified disabled victims are from Dambovita and Arges in southern Romania.

They were recruited and sent to beg in Vienna after having been promised that the money they received would be split with the traffickers or that they would receive medical care in return for money earned on the streets. Neither, in fact, occurred.

Victims had to pay up to 100 Euros to become members of the begging gang.

Police said the victims were beaten if they did not make enough money.

The gang, active since 2008, has exploited nearly 100 people.

Hollanin yleisradion artikkeli aiheesta: EU:n romaanimiljoonat katoavat

EU käyttää kuudenvuoden aikana 13 miljardia euroa romaneihin (eli 1 300 euroa per. romaani). Itä-Eurooppaan virtaavia rahoja valvoo Euroopan Komissio, mutta perillä rahojen käyttöstä vastaa kohdemaat ja onkin täysin mahdoillista, että rahat menvätkin jonnekkin muualle.

Poliittinen korrektius

Romaaneista puhuttaessa Itä-Eurooppalaisia poliitikkoja ei vaivaa poliittinen korrektius. "He (romanit) ovat vastuussa omasta negatiivisesta kuvastaan" sanoo moni romaaniprojekteissa työskentelevä. Heidän kokemuksensa mukaan romanit eivät ole erityisen motivoituneita muuttamaan omaa ahdinkoaan.

Toisaalla lentokonelasteittain kiinalaisia, vietnamilaisia ja intialaisia lentää Romaniaan korvaamaan niitä romanialaisia ovat menneet länteen töihin.

Romanialaisen MEPin Renate Weberin mukaan tilanne on absurdi. Romanialaiset työnantajat valitsevat mielummin kiinalaisia tai vietnamilaisia, koska nämä ovat halvempia ja tottuneempia työskentelemään kurinalaisemmin.

Itävalta, Wien: Jälleen poliisi on pädättänyt kerjäläisiä, tälläkertaa 5 henkilöä. Nyt viranomaiset aikovat lähettää kerjäläiset takaisin kotiin. Tapauksen yhteydessä myös Romaniassa pidätettiin 11 henkilöä.

Romaneilla ei ole kotimaata kansallisvaltion muodossa, eikä ole koskaan ollutkaan.

Köyhän romanian vastuulle yhdeksänmiljoonaista hunnilaumaa jotka vihaavat ja pelkäävät asuinmaitaan yhtä paljon kuin niiden kansalaiset heitä muutaman sadan vuoden kokemuksella on turha sysätä; yhdelläkään maalla ei ole pienintäkään halua sietää niitä alueellaan eivätkä hunnit luota yhteenkään kansalaisvaltioon likimainkaan tarpeeksi että minkäännäköistä ratkaisua syntyisi, kaikkein vähiten sellaista missä valmiiksi köyhä ja alikehittynyt maa pistetään koko laskun maksajaksi, vain sen  takia että nimi sattumankaupan kautta muistuttaa meitä kaaleista.

Euroopan komissio vaatii EU:n jäsenmaita tekemään enemmän romanien integroitumisen eteen. Komissio käyttää terimiä romani kattoterminä romaneista, sintisteistä, travelleeraajista ja mustalaisyhteisöistä.

Esim. Slovakkiassa vain 3% romaneista läpäisee toisenasteen koulutuksen, Bulgariassa romanien työttömyys on yli 50%, Kreikassa 30%. Romaniassa vain 25% - 30% romaneilla on pysyvä työ...

EU to urge member countries to do more for Roma integration

The European Commission will Tuesday again push all member states to do more to improve the situation of the Roma people after a French crackdown on the minority drew international criticism.

"The commission would like to see more programmes from every country to improve the situation of the Roma people," Cristina Arigho, spokewoman for Europe's commissioner on inclusion, told AFP ahead of a two-day conference in Bucharest.

The conference aims to promote the use of EU funds to improve the socio-economic situation of the 10 to 12 million Roma living in Europe.
