Jack Straw targeted by Nigerian fraudsters who hack his email account and claim he is stranded in Africa

Justice Minister Jack Straw has fallen prey to email fraudsters who claimed he was stranded in Nigeria and needed $3,000 to fly home.

Nigerian computer fraudsters hacked into the MP's email address and sent out messages claiming he had lost his wallet while in Africa doing charity work.

It is believed up to 200 emails, headed 'The Right Hon Jack Straw MP', were sent to constituents, Ministry of Justice officials, Labour members and council bosses.

The message claimed said Mr Straw was travelling to Africa for a project called Empowering Youth to Fight Racism, and was at an address in the Nigerian capital Lagos.
