Ed Klein: Hillary's Plea Bargain

The Justice Department has reopened the investigation of Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified material on her private email system while she was secretary of state, and is considering offering her a plea bargain if she will agree to plead guilty to charges of breaking the law, according to a Clinton attorney.

The discussion of a plea bargain took place late last month and was offered by a high-ranking Justice Department official to the Clinton lawyer.

During the exploratory talks with the prosecutor, the Clinton attorney was told that despite former FBI Director James Comey's decision last July not to prosecute Hillary, the Justice Department has reexamined the email case and believes there are ample grounds for prosecuting Hillary on a number of counts.

Under the Justice Department's plea offer, Hillary would be required to sign a document admitting that she committed a prosecutable crime. In return, the DOJ would agree not to bring charges against Hillary in connection with the email probe.

Also as part of the agreement, the Justice Department would not proceed with an investigation of Hillary's pay to play deals with foreign governments and businessmen who contributed to the Clinton Foundation or who paid Bill Clinton exorbitant speaking fees.

The Clinton attorney cautioned that normally a plea is offered by a prosecutor only upon arraignment, and Hillary has not yet been charged with any crime.

Judge orders new searches for Clinton Benghazi emails

Nine months after the presidential election was decided, a federal judge is ordering the State Department to try again to find emails Hillary Clinton wrote about the Benghazi attack.

U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta ruled that the State Department had not done enough to try to track down messages Clinton may have sent about the assault on the U.S. diplomatic compound on Sept. 11, 2012 — an attack that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

In response to Freedom of Information Act requests, State searched the roughly 30,000 messages Clinton turned over to her former agency at its request in December 2014 after officials searching for Benghazi-related records realized she had used a personal email account during her four-year tenure as secretary.

State later searched tens of thousands of emails handed over to the agency by three former top aides to Clinton: Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan. Finally, State searched a collection of emails the FBI assembled when it was investigating Clinton's use of the private account and server.

In all, State found 348 Benghazi-related messages or documents that were sent to or from Clinton in a period of nearly five months after the attack.

However, the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch argued that the search wasn't good enough because State never tried to search its own systems for relevant messages in the official email accounts of Clinton's top aides.

In a 10-page ruling issued Tuesday, Mehta — an Obama appointee — agreed.

"To date, State has searched only data compilations originating from outside sources — Secretary Clinton, her former aides, and the FBI. ... It has not, however, searched 8 the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov e-mail server," Mehta wrote.

"If Secretary Clinton sent an e-mail about Benghazi to Abedin, Mills, or Sullivan at his or her state.gov e-mail address, or if one of them sent an e-mail to Secretary Clinton using his or her state.gov account, then State's server presumably would have captured and stored such an e-mail. Therefore, State has an obligation to search its own server for responsive records."Justice Department lawyers representing State argued that making them search other employees' accounts for Clinton's emails would set a bad precedent that would belabor other FOIA searches.

But Mehta said the circumstances surrounding Clinton's email represented "a specific fact pattern unlikely to arise in the future."

Se että tuomari on Obaman nimittämä ei todellakaan takaa sitä että olisi Hillaryn ystävä.

Benghazin tapahtumat ovat sikäli mielenkiintoisia että vaikuttaa siltä että väkivaltaisia lähetystöön hyökkääviä joukkoja oli johdettu ja tiedotettu keskitetysti samalla kun avunpyynnöt on jätetty huomiotta. Epäilen suoraan että Huma Abedin tai yhteistyökumppaninsa ovat olleet teon takana. Itseasiassa Hillary Clinton on ihmisenä niin epäteknologinen ettei hänen aivoilla kyetä hoitamaan ulkoministerin sähköpostirumbaa. Hyvä jos pysyy pystyssä. Ainoa jolla on sekä tilaisuus, että motiivi, vuotaa tiedot moslem brotherhoodille ja siitä edelleen Libyan terroriryhmille, on Abedin.

Hämmästyisin jos jollakin palstalla olisi esittää edes yhden ainoan murhan tai tapon todisteet joka on jomman kumman Clintonin tekemä tai kytkee heidät kiistatta sen taakse. Predicted data dump to derail Mueller's probe while implicating Hillary

Julian Assange may release evidence showing Hillary Clinton colluded with Russia during the presidential election as well as the real extent of her crimes, says an anonymous source on 4Chan who has so proved to be far more credible than the mainstream media.

The evidence apparently stems from a file dump taken by the NYPD from Huma Abedin's laptop that convicted sexual predator Anthony Weiner had access to.

In the aftermath of Wikileaks' decision to publish a cache of emails stolen from the DNC's servers, Donna Brazile says she became increasingly paranoid about both possible Russian efforts to sway the election. Surprisingly, she says top Democrats initially instructed her not to discuss her concerns with others.

But even more than the Russians, Brazile says she feared possible retribution from shadowy elements within the campaign and the Democratic Party who might blame her for the leak. Her fears only intensified, she says, after the mysterious shooting of former campaign staffer Seth Rich, who the authorities said was killed during a robbery, though many so-called conspiracy theorists have speculated about a possible Democratic plot to kill Rich for his role in leaking the stash of DNC emails to Wikileaks. Brazile's anxiety eventually spiraled out of control, to the point where she feared for her own life while serving as interim chairwoman of the DNC.

Brazile describes her mounting anxiety about Russia's theft of emails and other data from DNC servers, the slow process of discovering the full extent of the cyberattacks and the personal fallout. She likens the feeling to having rats in your basement: "You take measures to get rid of them, but knowing they are there, or have been there, means you never feel truly at peace."

Nyt kun tiedämme että Clinton käytännössä otti DNC:n haltuun jo 2015, rampauttaen samalla kilpailun, että Sandersin. Niin jo tuolla tiedolla on todistettu se "salaliitto" Clintonin ja DNC:n Sanders vastaisuudesta. Kun järjestelmän sisällä oleva joka näkee kaiken, alkaa pelkäämään itsensä puolesta, niin sitä tulee väkisinkin vähän paranoidiksi.

Sitten kaiken päälle DNC:n sähköpostipalvelin "hakkeroidaan", joka tosin metadatan eli tietojen latausnopeuden perusteella tapahtui järjestelmään kuuluvalla koneella, eikä verkon yli. DNC:n työntekijä ammutaan, epäonnistuneen ryöstön päälle, ryöstön jossa ei viety mitään. Niin kyllä se saattaa aiheuttaa lievää paranoiaa.

Kun ajatellaan että eräs Nacho uskoo salaliittoon jonka mukaan Venäjä hakkeroi Yhdysvaltojen vaalit, tai vähintäänkin Facebook mainonnalla käänsi valtavan määrän väkeä anti-Clintonilaisiksi, Venäjän viranomaisilta väitetysti saadut tiedot Brittivakoojan läpyskässä nimeltä dossier, oli myös ihan faktatietoa, sekä on ihan moraalista ja oikein, käyttää kampanjan sekä presidentin itsensä maksamaa läpyskää, viranomaistutkinnan aloittamisen perusteena.

Samoin muistan kuinka salaliittoilua oli väittää FBI:n ryssineen tarkoituksella Clintonin tutkinnan. Mikä nyt on tullut jo todistettuakin, Comeyn raapustellessa päätöksensä Clintonin syyttämättä jättämisestä pari kuukautta ennen Clintonin kuulemista.

Se siis oikeastaan tarkoittaa että sinun ja Brazillen sanomisiin tulee suhtautua hyvinkin epäillen. Tosin Brazillen sanomiset Clintonin valtaamasta DNC:stä on jo todistettu, toisin kuin...

Mueller aide fired for anti-Trump texts now facing review for role in Clinton email probe

EXCLUSIVE –  Two senior Justice Department officials have confirmed to Fox News that the department's Office of Inspector General is reviewing the role played in the Hillary Clinton email investigation by Peter Strzok, a former deputy director for counterintelligence at the FBI who was removed from the staff of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III earlier this year, after Mueller learned that Strzok had exchanged anti-Trump texts with a colleague.

A source close to the matter said the OIG probe, which will examine Strzok's roles in a number of other politically sensitive cases, should be completed by "very early next year."

The task will be exceedingly complex, given Strzok's consequential portfolio. He participated in the FBI's fateful interview with Hillary Clinton on July 2, 2016 – just days before then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was declining to recommend prosecution of Mrs. Clinton in connection with her use, as secretary of state, of a private email server.

As deputy FBI director for counterintelligence, Strzok also enjoyed liaison with various agencies in the intelligence community, including the CIA, then led by Director John Brennan.

Key figure

House investigators told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump "dossier" and launched a counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling in the election that ultimately came to encompass FISA surveillance of a Trump campaign associate.

The "dossier" was a compendium of salacious and largely unverified allegations about then-candidate Trump and others around him that was compiled by the opposition research firm Fusion GPS. The firm's bank records, obtained by House investigators, revealed that the project was funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has sought documents and witnesses from the Department of Justice and FBI to determine what role, if any, the dossier played in the move to place a Trump campaign associate under foreign surveillance.

Strzok himself briefed the committee on Dec. 5, 2016, the sources said, but within months of that session House Intelligence Committee investigators were contacted by an informant suggesting that there was "documentary evidence" that Strzok was purportedly obstructing the House probe into the dossier.

In early October, Nunes personally asked Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein – who has overseen the Trump-Russia probe since the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions – to make Strzok available to the committee for questioning, sources said.

While Strzok's removal from the Mueller team had been publicly reported in August, the Justice Department never disclosed the anti-Trump texts to the House investigators. The denial of access to Strzok was instead predicated, sources said, on broad "personnel" grounds.

When a month had elapsed, House investigators – having issued three subpoenas for various witnesses and documents – formally recommended to Nunes that DOJ and FBI be held in contempt of Congress. Nunes continued pressing DOJ, including a conversation with Rosenstein as recently as last Wednesday.

That turned out to be 12 days after DOJ and FBI had made Strzok available to the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is conducting its own parallel investigation into the allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Contempt citations?

Responding to the revelations about Strzok's texts on Saturday, Nunes said he has now directed his staff to draft contempt-of-Congress citations against Rosenstein and the new FBI director, Christopher Wray. Unless DOJ and FBI comply with all of his outstanding requests for documents and witnesses by the close of business on Monday, Nunes said, he would seek a resolution on the contempt citations before year's end.

"We now know why Strzok was dismissed, why the FBI and DOJ refused to provide us this explanation, and at least one reason why they previously refused to make [FBI] Deputy Director [Andrew] McCabe available to the Committee for an interview," Nunes said in a statement.

Early Saturday afternoon, after Strzok's texts were cited in published reports by the New York Times and the Washington Post – and Fox News had followed up with inquiries about the department's refusal to make Strzok available to House investigators – the Justice Department contacted the office of House Speaker Paul Ryan to establish a date for Strzok's appearance before House Intelligence Committee staff, along with two other witnesses long sought by the Nunes team.

Those witnesses are FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and the FBI officer said to have handled Christopher Steele, the British spy who used Russian sources to compile the dossier for Fusion GPS. The official said to be Steele's FBI handler has also appeared already before the Senate panel.

The Justice Department maintained that the decision to clear Strzok for House interrogation had occurred a few hours prior to the appearance of the Times and Post stories.

In addition, Rosenstein is set to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 13.

The Justice Department maintains that it has been very responsive to the House intel panel's demands, including private briefings for panel staff by senior DOJ and FBI personnel and the production of several hundred pages of classified materials available in a secure reading room at DOJ headquarters on Oct. 31.

Sources said Speaker Ryan has worked quietly behind the scenes to try to resolve the clash over dossier-related evidence and witnesses between the House intel panel on the one hand and DOJ and FBI on the other. In October, however, the speaker took the unusual step of saying publicly that the two agencies were "stonewalling" Congress.

All parties agree that some records being sought by the Nunes team belong to categories of documents that have historically never been shared with the committees that conduct oversight of the intelligence community.

Federal officials told Fox News the requested records include "highly sensitive raw intelligence," so sensitive that officials from foreign governments have emphasized to the U.S. the "potential danger and chilling effect" it could place on foreign intelligence sources.

Justice Department officials noted that Nunes did not appear for a document-review session that his committee's ranking Democrat, U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., attended, and once rejected a briefing by an FBI official if the panel's Democratic members were permitted to attend.

Sources close to the various investigations agreed the discovery of Strzok's texts raised important questions about his work on the Clinton email case, the Trump-Russia probe, and the dossier matter.

"That's why the IG is looking into all of those things," a Justice Department official told Fox News on Saturday.

A top House investigator asked: "If Mueller knew about the texts, what did he know about the dossier?"

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel, said: "Immediately upon learning of the allegations, the Special Counsel's Office removed Peter Strzok from the investigation."

Carr declined to comment on the extent to which Mueller has examined the dossier and its relationship, if any, to the counterintelligence investigation that Strzok launched during the height of the campaign season.
