San Francisco Unified School District is renaming the Abraham Lincoln High School because they claimed that black lives did not matter to him. Lincoln is the president who freed African Americans from enslavement.

Stating that Lincoln "did not demonstrate that 'black lives mattered to him,'" the school district will be stripping the local high school of his name and legacy. While Lincoln undoubtedly is best known for freeing the slaves from bondage, San Francisco worries that Lincoln's approval of the Homestead Act and the Pacific Railway Act show that he didn't care about minorities.

First grade teacher and chairman of the renaming committee Jeremiah Jeffries told the San Francisco Chronicle that "The history of Lincoln and Native Americans is complicated, not nearly as well known as that of the Civil War and slavery."

Ohion osavaltiossa Yhdysvalloissa poliisi on ampunut kuoliaaksi jo toisen aseettoman mustan miehen tässä kuussa. Uusin ampuminen tapahtui torstaina Columbusin kaupungissa, jossa poliisi ampui hieman alle viisikymppisen miehen autotallissa.

Poliisi oli hälytetty erillisen tapauksen vuoksi. Poliisin virka-asuun asennetun kameran kuva näyttää, että ennen ampumista mies kävelee poliisia kohti matkapuhelin toisessa kädessään ja toinen käsi piilossa. Ammuttuaan miestä poliisi kollegoineen odotti useita minuutteja ennen kuin lähestyi uhria.

Nigerian politicians are demanding the country's government to intervene on the shooting death of George Nkencho, who has been presented as a something of an Irish George Floyd in recent days, near Dublin in Ireland.

Nkencho, 27, is said to have been involved in two incidents involving a knife at a shopping centre and a Eurospar convenience store, the latter of which left the store manager with "facial injuries", on December 30th.

Officers of the Garda Síochána — "Guardians of the Peace" — followed Nkencho back to his family home, ultimately shooting him dead after he allegedly lunged at them with a knife.

The failure of officers to detain Nkencho without the use of deadly force has caused considerable anger in African diaspora community, despite police claims insisting they were left with no choice after efforts to subdue him via Taser and pepper spray were unsuccessful, with U.S.-style 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Justice for George', sometimes violent, now receiving the tacit support of senior politicians in Nigeria.

Tensions are high following the shooting, with Nkencho's younger brother Emmanuel appearing to threaten the officer who killed him at a protest.

"I want that fed, whoever he was, that shot him, I want him terminated... I want him finished, because, just know, Garda, when we find him, yeah? Just know," he told cheering protesters in a video which has largely unreported by the Irish press.

The Guards are said to be "aware" of the video but hesitant to act, as "emotions are running high and that the family and friends of the man who died are of course very upset".

Documents describing secret FBI recordingsallege Martin Luther King Jr. had affairs with 40 women and watched on as a pastor raped a woman in the 1960s, a new report said.

According to London's The Times, an article written by the King biographer David Garrow and set to be published in the June edition of the UK magazine Standpoint details newly released FBI memos that discuss the tapes.

The tapes — sealed until 2027 in the US National Archives — hold recordings from bugs placed in hotel rooms King used in the 1960s, when they suspected his aide Stanley Levison was a Communist.

According to The Times, a memo accompanying the tape alleges King "looked on and laughed" as a pastor of Baltimore's Cornerstone Baptist Church raped a woman in the hotel room. The pastor died in 1991.

The FBI documents say King had a conversation in which he "discussed which women among the parishioners would be suitable for natural and unnatural sex acts," The Times wrote, citing Garrow's article.

"When one of the women protested that she did not approve, the Baptist minister immediately and forcibly raped her," The Times wrote, quoting the FBI documents.

According to Garrow's article, which quotes the documents: "At the same hotel the following evening, King and a dozen other individuals 'participated in a sex orgy.'"

"When one of the women shied away from engaging in an unnatural act, King and several of the men discussed how she was to be taught and initiated in this respect. King told her that to perform such an act would 'help your soul,'" The Times quoted the memo as saying.

King, whose wife was Coretta Scott King, has been accused of infidelity in previous documents but never on the scale alleged by Garrow. He "always thought there were 10-12 other women," he told The Times. "Not 40-45."

One other FBI memo is said to describe a prostitute recounting a sexual encounter she said had with King and another woman in the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas in April 1964.

According to The Times, the memo says King called a friend to "get your damned ass down here because I have a beautiful white broad here."

The FBI memo is said to have recorded the prostitute as saying that King and the two women had sex, and when King's friend showed up, King "watched the action from a close-by position" as they too had sex.

The memo quotes the prostitute as saying she was "getting scared as they were pretty drunk and using filthy language," The Times said.

Stanley Levison

Stanley David Levison (May 2, 1912 – September 12, 1979) was an American businessman and lawyer who became a lifelong activist in progressive causes. He is best known as an advisor to, and close friend of Martin Luther King Jr., for whom he helped write speeches, raise funds, and organize events.

Levison was born in New York City on May 2, 1912, to a Jewish family. Levison attended the University of Michigan, Columbia University, and the New School for Social Research. He received two law degrees from St. John's University. While serving as treasurer of the American Jewish Congress in Manhattan, he aided in the defense of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. During this period, he worked for a variety of liberal causes.

In the early 1950s the FBI considered Levison to be a major financial coordinator for the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and began to monitor his activities.

FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had long associated the civil rights movement with communism, and he strongly expected that Levison would use or manipulate King to stimulate political unrest within the United States. In 2012, Tim Weiner wrote in his history of the FBI that Hoover believed Levison had "indoctrinated King in Marxist thought and subversive strategies", and that King was "part of Moscow's grand design to subvert the United States of America."

A notable exception to this list was a white, Jewish attorney and businessman named Stanley David Levison. In recent years, a flow of released documents, some available through the Freedom of Information Act, are revealing not only Levison's remarkable influence on King, but also the unrelenting surveillance and wiretapping of both men by J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI.

Despite the fact that Levison was King's pro bono accountant, counsel, editor, book agent, occasional ghostwriter and constant fundraiser, his story has remained largely and strangely cryptic, unrecognized and unacknowledged.

In his lifetime, Levison quietly forged a link between the civil rights crusade and the labor movement. It remains the hallmark partnership of American social justice. He was a Marxist who owned some of the original and largest car dealerships in the United States, maintained huge investments in corporate real estate and was referred to by Hoover as "the Mr. X" who infiltrated and saturated King's work with Communists.

There is no doubt that Levison, a onetime treasurer of the American Jewish Congress, had been a full-blooded Marxist for much of his life. He was a man of moral seriousness and authentic activism. He was not unlike many American Jews of that era, some of whom were blacklisted, defamed or downright ruined because of their constitutionally protected political beliefs.

His name is occasionally whispered at conclaves of aging black civil rights leaders: "Yes, Stanley — remember how much Martin loved him and depended upon him?" They recall the "Bloody Sunday" march across the bridge at Selma, the manner in which King improvised the unforgettable closing of the "I Have a Dream" speech (the original draft co-written by Levison and Clarence Jones) and how they were proved wrong when they begged King not to publicly dissent on the Vietnam War, as he did in 1967.

The Original 'Antifa' Was A Jewish Anti-Nazi Militia

While watching the recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia – the violence that erupted between marching neo-Nazis and Antifa protesters – I can't help but think back to what was the original "Antifa", a group of Jews, whom my father told me about from his childhood, growing up as a poor Jewish kid in Newark, New Jersey.

In the late 1930's, there was a legal pro-Nazi movement called the German-American Bund. The Bund started having large rallies in North Jersey and elsewhere, with the goal of keeping the US from entering World War II on the side of the allies. Most Americans of the time were deeply isolationist. The last thing they wanted to do was send American boys to fight and die in another European war. So the Bund's activities were not that surprising, and found fertile ground in many quarters. But the local Jewish population was alarmed by the pro-Nazi rhetoric of the Bund, not to mention the sight of brown-shirted activists chanting and sharing Nazi salutes right here in the good old USA.

The leading lights of the Jewish community asked the local police and Sherriff's offices to stop these gatherings, but, getting no help, decided to raise the matter to a higher authority. They appealed for protection to the Jewish mob boss of Newark, Abner "Longie" Zwillman. Zwillman agreed to help. He had his chief enforcer, ex-prize fighter Sidney Nathan Abramowitz (better known as "Nat Arno", the name by which he is immortalized in the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame) organize a "civil rights group", which they called "the Minutemen."

My cousin Cocky Jake was a card-carrying member of the Minutemen, and his picture appears in newspaper accounts of the day. The Minutemen were essentially an armed group of Jewish mobsters, thugs, and wise guys like Jake. When Nat Arno gave the word that the Nazis were assembling, these denizens of the saloons, pool halls and other dens of iniquity in North Jersey would leave their usual haunts and head to the Nazi rallies. Much like today's Antifa, the Minutemen's preferred tools of persuasion were not logic and reason, but baseball bats, brass knuckles, rubber coated pipes and the occasional stink bomb.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Nazis are still around, but then, so are the people resisting them on the streets. I wonder if the members of today's Antifa would be surprised to learn that they are replicating a proud lineage of Jewish gangsters who, years ago, took a brief respite from the rackets and the pool halls to do some good for a change.

Black Lives Matterille esitetään Nobelin rauhanpalkintoa

Norjan suurkäräjillä sosialistista vasemmistopuoluetta edustava kansanedustaja Petter Eide on esittänyt Black Lives Matter-liikettä (BLM) Nobelin vuoden 2011 rauhanpalkinnon saajaksi, kertoo The Guardian.

Eiden mukaan BLM on lisännyt "globaalia tietoisuutta rotusyrjinnästä" ja "saanut liikkeelle kaikki yhteiskuntaryhmät ei vain afroamerikkalaisia ja sorrettuja".

-Mielestäni tärkeimmät haasteet, joita olemme nähnyt ei vain Amerikassa vaan myös Euroopassa ja Aasiassa,  perustuvat yhä kasvavan epätasa-arvon aiheuttamaan konfliktiin. Black Lives Matter on merkittävä maailmanlaajuinen liike rodullista epäoikeudenmukaisuutta vastaan. He ovat lisänneet merkittävästi globaalia tietoisuutta rotusyrjinnästä, Eide perusteli esitystään.

Black Lives Matter syntyi Yhdysvalloissa mustan teinipojan ampumisesta vuonna 2013. Amerikkalaisprotestit poliisiväkivaltaa vastaan yltyivät väkivaltaisiksi mellakoiksi kesällä 2020 ja levisivät myös muihin länsimaihin johtaen muun muassa rasistiseksi koettujen historiallisten patsaiden ja symbolien tuhoamiseen.

Joskus näin muistaakseni Die Weltissä artikkelin siitä kuinka USA:n viralliseksi kieleksi melkein oli tulla saksa. Ilmeisesti saksalaisten siirtolaisten suuren määrän takia. Tuohon voi tavanomaisten pöyristelijöiden olla hankala kommentoida. Kuvasta ei oikein saa mitään irti, kun siitä ei kovin tarkkaan näe mitä tapahtuu eikä edes kohteen ihonväri kunnolla näy. On siis vaikea keksiä, mihin perustaisi pöyristelynsä.
