Saksan Ravenburgissa joukkopuukotus tänään. Ulkomaalaisen näköinen mies puukotti suurella keittiöveitsellä kolmea, joista yksi loukkaantui ilmeisesti hengenvaarallisesti. Perheensä kanssa syömässä ollut mies pysäytti puukottajan ja sai itse osuman ainakin selkäänsä. Tekijä poliisin hallussa. Poliisi ei toistaiseksi ole pitänyt tapausta terrorismina, eikä ole raportoitu tuttuja arabiankielisiä huutoja.

A knifeman has injured at least three people on a rampage through a German town.

One of the victims has received 'life-threatening' injuries during the attack in Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, but the condition of the other two victims has not yet been revealed. Footage posted from the scene shows the knifeman walking around the square waving a knife, although the police have said there is no evidence of terrorism.

One of them was a man eating with his family, schwaebische.de reports. He has suffered cuts to his back and arm as he tried to hold the attacker back with a chair, and has been taken to hospital. Video footage posted in the aftermath of the attack showed used medical equipment on the ground and puddles of blood around the bus stop.

The attack, which happened shortly after 4pm local time, took place in a number of spots around the town. One of the victims was found around 50 meters away from the other two victims.

However, it is unclear whether he was attacked there or ran away after being attacked in the same place.

Reports said the attacker, whose identity is not yet known, 'fumbled widly' with his knife, and kept pointing to the clock and shouting, but his motive is still not known.

The suspect, who was allegedly carrying a kitchen knife, has been arrested.

Attack with knife

For unknown reasons, a 19-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan has injured three people with a knife at 4:20 pm on Marienplatz this afternoon, one of them life-threatening. The three injured were taken to the hospital by the rescue service. The victims are two young Syrian asylum seekers aged 19 and 20 and a 52-year-old German citizen. According to previous police findings, the suspect had first stabbed two passers-by at a bus stop in height Charlottenstraße and then moved away in the direction of Frauentor to stab another 50 meters further on a person. When the Lord Mayor of the city of Ravensburg, who met with two employees close to the scene of the crime on the alleged perpetrator, told him to drop the knife, the 19-year-old came to the after. Immediately after, he was provisionally arrested by a police station official. Teenage migrant stabs 3 in German town

Police have arrested an Afghan teenager over a triple stabbing in a southwestern German town. The local mayor happened to be passing by and apprehended the attacker after persuading him to put down the knife.

A 19-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker was taken into custody Friday after stabbing three people in Ravensburg's town center, according to a statement from police.

The victims — two Syrian asylum-seekers aged 19 and 20, and a 52-year-old German man — were taken to the hospital. One of them is reportedly in a critical condition.

Authorities said the motive for the attack wasn't clear, adding, however, that they had ruled out terrorism.

Police blocked off parts of the southwestern town for much of the afternoon as experts interviewed witnesses and examined the scene. Two of the victims were found at a bus stop near one of the city's main squares, while the third was about 50 meters (54 yards) away.

Chance encounter

In an unusual twist, the suspect was apprehended by Ravensburg's mayor, Daniel Rapp, who told German news agency dpa that he happened to be in the area when the stabbing took place.

"The perpetrator stood in front of me suddenly with a bloody knife and threatened me," Rapp said. "Then I told him to put the knife down."

The man followed the instructions, according to Rapp. "It was an instinctive action," he said.

Police arrived shortly afterwards and arrested the man. They said on Twitter that he appeared to have acted alone, with "no evidence to suggest there were accomplices."

Afgaaniturvapaikanhakija Janagha A. on eilen saanut syytteet kahdesta murhan yrityksestä ja yhdestä tapon yrityksestä. Motiivi puukotuksille: uhrit näyttivät arabeilta. Ja olivatkin, kaksi syyrialaista tp-hakijaa, ja sitten kolmas uhri oli saksalaismies. Kovennusperuste rasistisesta motiivista etnisen alkuperän vuoksi loistaa poissaolollaan. Ääni päässä käski tappaa arabeja. Syyntakeisuus on tässä vaiheessa epäselvä, joukkopuukottajalla mt-ongelmahistoriaa ja mahdollisesti mielisairaus. Syyttäjän mukaan afgaani on vaarallinen toisten terveydelle ja hengelle ja tulee eristää yhteiskunnasta vaarallisena rikoksentekijänä tai saamaan pakkohoitoa.

Defendant admits knife attack (21.3.2019)

At around 4:00 pm on September 28, Afghan asylum seeker Janagha A. (22) attacked two students and a bus driver at downtown Marienplatz (19, 20, 52). His murder weapon: a 20 centimeter long kitchen knife. The young man stabbed the passers-by, injuring them severely, one even life threatening.

Lord Mayor Rapp personally stood in the way of the attacker at that time, made him drop the bloody butcher's knife. He becomes the hero of a city.

Now the stabber has to answer in court, is accused of attempted murder in two cases and attempted manslaughter. Whether the asylum seeker is fully culpable, remains open. According to the court, he may have committed the killing spree last summer in a schizophrenic psychosis.

Attorney Alexander Boger (49) therefore demanded in his indictment: The Afghan must be accommodated in a psychiatric ward with appropriate care. Reason: Janagha A. could again commit unlawful acts, is therefore dangerous for the general public. Two days before his assassination he was still a patient in the Center for Psychiatry. He was there for the fourth time.

In court, the defendant readily made statements on Thursday, admitting all acts.
