Euroopan unioni sulkee rajat Lähi-Idän sotatoimialueilta tulevilta pakolaisilta 1. maaliskuuta lähtien kertoi Danasille lähellä EU-komissiota oleva lähde Brysselissä. Kerrotun mukaan rajojen sulkeminen pakolaisilta tulee tapahtumaan asteittain, ensin Irakista tulleilta pakolaisilta, sitten afganistanilaisilta ja lopuksi myös syyrialaisilta.

"Rajojen täydellistä sulkemista koskevat harjoitukset ovat jo meneillään Slovenian ja Kroatian, sekä myös Serbian ja Makedonian välisellä rajalla", totesi Danasin lähde.

Makedonian rajalla on viimeaikoina päästetty läpi enää vain afganistanilaiset, irakilaiset ja syyrialaiset. Kaikki muut on torpattu rajalle. Makedonia tuskin on tätä menettelyä itse keksinyt, joten asialla oli EU tai Saksa (tuskin USA). Nyt sitten on ilmeisesti tarkoitus lopettaa muukin liikenne ja siirtyä niihin Merkelin kiintiöihin. Samalla pelastetaan EU:ta joka on jo menossa viemäristä alas.

Pahoin pelkään että Suomi ei siltikään tee yhtään mitään ennen kuin 100k on sisässä ja alkaa tulla todellisia ongelmia. Hallitus on ollut saamattomuudessa ihan omaa luokkaansa, mitään ei kannata odottaa.

Rajat paukahtaa kiinni matujen naamojen edessä. Päivästä tuntuu olevan eri tietoa. Kreikkalaisen eKathimerini lehden mukaan rajapuomit laskeutuu 6.3. Kreikka on siis saanut muutaman päivän aikaa lisää.

Greece wants its EU peers to pledge to keep their borders open to refugees until March or it will refuse to adopt an accord keeping Britain in the bloc at marathon talks on Friday, a government source said.

"We are asking for a unanimous decision that until (an EU-Turkey summit planned for) March 6, no state will unilaterally close its borders... if not, the Greek government will not approve the conclusion text" at the so-called Brexit summit, the source told AFP.

EU To Begin Closing Borders To Refugees On March 1 – Report

The EU is making preparations to gradually close its borders starting from March 1, Serbian newspaper Danas reported on Wednesday.

"Exercises practicing the process of completely closing the borders are already being carried out between Slovenia and Croatia, and between Serbia and Macedonia," a source in the European Commission told Danas.

They explained that the border controls entail strict profiling of refugees and migrants, to track who is entering Europe.

"Checking if they are from a war zone; if members of their family are already in the European Union; checking their dialect, stricter control of documents ... these are measures that are already being taken," the source said.

The newspaper also reported that Croatia has returned 217 economic migrants to Serbia, after they were deported there from Slovenia.

According to Serbia's N1 TV news network, the returned migrants were transported to the Serbian town of Sid, close to the border with Croatia, where there is a reception center for refugees and migrants traveling on their way to Western Europe.

"The returned migrants protested for some time at the bus station and shouted 'United Nations,' intending to return to Croatia on foot," said N1.

The news network reported that the migrants complained that they had been forcibly removed from Croatia and sent to Serbia, and said that their documents were destroyed.

A representative of the UN refugee agency said that the group is "mainly Afghani families with children, then Iraqis, then a small number of Syrians," but a spokesperson for the Serbia's interior ministry told N1 that "these are economic migrants who have been returned to Serbia."

"According to all the agreements and procedures of our country and countries of the region we are returning them back to where they have come from, because they are not refugees from war zones," the interior ministry said.

Serbia's Minister for Work and Employment Aleksandar Vulin said that the countries of the region need to reach agreement on the deportation of migrants, and that more returnees would not be allowed to enter Serbia from Croatia because that country "already checks migrants at the entrance to its territory."

"So if Slovenia or any another border doesn't let the migrants through, they have to cope with that themselves," said Vulin.

Vulin added that police chiefs from across the region are meeting on Thursday to discuss the situation and how to better coordinate their operations, and confirmed that Serbia and Macedonia have also increased control at their border.

Rados Djurovic, director of Serbia's Asylum Protection Center, told Sputnik Serbia that the individuals who were returned to Serbia may have been deported because they misled authorities about where they came from.

"It is new that people who were accepted in Europe, who even got as far as Slovenia and Austria, are returned back along the chain," Djurovic said.

"That wasn't the case with Slovenia before, only with Croatia. These measures reveal another way of tightening and restricting people's passage on the migration route."

Djurovic commented on the Serbian government's recent statement that the country could take up to 6,000 refugees. That figure represents the number of people who pass through the country every two or three days, and who could possibly be forced to stay in the country if others close their borders.

He said that while Serbia has experience of providing accommodation for migrants and refugees who stay in the country for one day on their way to Western Europe, a longer-term stay and the necessary integration would be a new challenge for Serbia.

"Serbia hasn't got experience of that. That means a whole system of social and healthcare support, then opportunities for employment, schooling, accommodation and more importantly, working with local communities who might be able to accept these people."

While highlighting the complications of integrating six thousand refugees, who did not want to end up in Serbia, Djurovic said that "six thousand is at least a number you can work with."

He warned that the country could be faced with more migrants if people are returned along the Balkan migration route to Serbia, or if Serbia becomes a destination for those trying to avoid restrictions in Macedonia and Greece.

Serbia Closes FYROM Border To Unregistered Refugees

Serbia has closed its border with FYROM (Macedonia) to unregistered refugees, imposing stricter border controls for the purpose of preventing illegal migration, local state TV reported citing officials.

The Serbian Interior Ministry spokeswoman, Biljana Popovic Ivkovic, said that the border with Macedonia is not closed, but that passage is allowed only to migrants from countries affected by war.

"As of today, the signatories to the protocol are actually profiling the migrants, which means stricter border control for the purpose of preventing illegal migration," she said.

The protocol agreed upon by Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Macedonian and Austrian police chiefs envisions collecting identification and biometric information from refugees, in order to determine whether they are coming from countries where their lives are in danger, such as Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The refugees will not be given the status of asylum seekers immediately upon registration at the Greek-Macedonian border, Reuters reported, adding that this will be done later in the country to which they are traveling.

Mirjana Ivanovic-Milenkovski, from the UNHCR Department of Public Relations in Serbia, said the border has been closed since 12:30pm local time, the Novosti newspaper reported. According to the UNHCR, there are 300 refugees already in Serbian Presevo, and 750 people in Macedonian Tabanovce who are waiting to leave for Serbia.

On Thursday, Hungary said it would shut three railway crossings with Croatia for 30 days from Sunday. Hungary's interior minister, Sandor Pinter, explained on Friday that the crossings will be closed because Croatian authorities sent a train full of refugees toward Hungary under police escort.
The Serbian border with Macedonia has been closed to refugees who have not been registered at the Greek-Macedonia border in accordance with the Thursday agreement between the countries of the so-called 'Balkans route,' RTS TV reported, citing police.

Kroatia heittelee syksyltä tutuiksi tulleita sivuosumia Unkarille. Mitä muumia tuolla oikeasti tapahtuu, kun uutiset on niin ristiriitaisia? Kovasti vannotaan yhteiseen linjaan ja sitten samassa pistetään juna täynnä matuja toiseen maahan ilman kyselyitä. Ruotsikin voisi taas piristää meitä ja lyödä junan täyteen sakkia kohti Torniota.

GOVERNMENT: ITALIAN PM "BLACKMAILED" HUNGARY OVER MANDATORY MIGRANT QUOTA AT EU SUMMIT

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has threatened Visegrád countries with decreasing EU development funds if they refuse to take part in the "effective management" of the migrant crisis. In response, government spokesman Zoltán Kovács has branded Prime Minister Renzi's statement "political blackmail" against Hungary and other members of the Visegrád group.

At EU leaders' two-day summit on the possible solutions to the migrant crisis yesterday, the Italian Prime Minister said that "the migration crisis is a common European problem affecting all European countries" and Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia will  the EU budget will show "less solidarity" in their direction if they fail to demonstrate solidarity themselves.

The form of development support in question could possible be the development funds for lesser-developed regions of former Socialist countries to be paid in the 2014-2020 budgetary framework, a Brussels source disclosed. Italy is tbe third-greatest contributor to the fund after Germany and France, while the Netherlands, the country currently currently holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union, has raised the possibility of partially diverting structural funds to covering expenses brought on by the migrant crisis.

In response to the Italian Prime Minister's remarks, Hungarian government spokesman Zoltán Kovács said that Mr. Renzi has "politically blackmailed" Hungary and the Visegrád countries when, according to press reports, he warned of cutting EU funds to countries refusing to accept the proposal on migrant quotas.

Speaking on the public all-news channel M1 on Friday morning, Mr. Kovács confirmed that Visegrád countries remain opposed to mandatory migrants quotas and are convinced that these will not prove to be the solution to Europe. He also argued that the immigration policies pursued by the community so far have failed and an agreement between the EU and Turkey would be necessary, as well as Greece enforcing the rules of the Schengen Agreement.

Täyttä höpöhöpöä. Rajathan on nytkin "kiinni", mutta niistä tullaan läpi. Sitä kutsutaan salakuljetukseksi. Suurin ongelma on meritie Kreikkaan, aikooko EU sulkea meren? Myös Suomen ja Venäjän raja on kiinni, siitä tullaan läpi kun veivaa Ladan ikkunan auki ja sanoo asylum.

Schengenin lopettaminen toki helpottaisi ongelmaa kun on enemmän rajoja ylitettävänä. Samoin EU:n pakolaisdirektiivin kumoaminen joka on paljon rajoittavampi kuin YK:n pakolaissopimus. Mutta en usko mihinkään EU-tason ratkaisuun, ainoastaan kansallisiin.

EU oli täysin haluton tekemään mitään ja suorastaan imuroi lisää Frontex -operaatioilla. Nyt EU muka sulkee rajat. Se yrittää vain esittää rajojen sulkemisen omana halunaan ja valtavan tappionsa voittona.

Aina kun kontekstissa mainitaan EU, on rajat suljettu väärin. Niillä toimenpiteillä ei ole mitään tekemistä rajojen sulkemisen ts. rajakontrollin palauttamisen kanssa.

Lontijoiden lukumäärä alkaa olla infernaalinen. Ne tulevat puomista läpi jokatapauksessa ellei niitä massoja pysäytetä voimakeinoilla, razor blade langalla ja kk:lla. EU on vain valmis jakamaan maailman liikakansoituksen aiheuttaman pursuilun muutamien valtioiden kesken. EU on ongelma tässä.

Nyt se sitten on alkanut. Makedonia ei enää päästä afgaaneja maahan. Syyrialaiset ja irakilaiset pääsevät vielä toistaiseksi matkaamaan Makedonian läpi. Kaikki afgaanit joutuvat jäämään Kreikkaan.

Eikös EU:lla pitänyt olla kokous Turkin kanssa ensi viikolla? Ajoittuu tämä takaraja sopivasti kokouksen jälkeiseen aikaan. Alkaa myös Saksan vaalit olemaan lähellä, joten saapa nähdä onko tarkoituksena tehdä joku näyttävä peliliike juuri ennen vaaleja äänestäjien harhauttamiseksi.

Kehtaavat saksalaiset vielä kitistä Itävallallekin heidän toimistaan.

Germany sets two-week ultimatum for EU refugee plan

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere has given Europe two weeks to implement measures agreed last week's EU summit - if not "other measures will be necessary", he warned.

"The next two week are decisive," de Maiziere told public broadcaster ARD. "If the steps agreed upon by all the European states work, then other measures won't be necessary."

He pointed to a campaign against people trafficking carried out by Frontex and Nato in cooperation with Turkey and the return of refugees picked up in the Mediterranean to Turkey as priorities agreed upon by EU member states in Brussels last week.

But the Interior Minister warned that if the agreements did not hold Berlin will have to reach for other solutions, "preferably European ones."

One possible consequence would be "that protecting the Schengen area would have to take place at different borders," he noted.

In recent weeks some European leaders have raised the possibility of erecting a fence at the Macedonian border - in effect giving up on Greece as a member of the border-free area.

Chancellor Angela Merkel has consistently opposed such a measure, saying that any solution to tackling unchecked immigration must involve all EU member states.

Austria's refugee limit 'unacceptable'

De Maiziere also described Austria's decision to only accept 80 asylum seekers a day while letting thousands of others transit through sends "the wrong signal" and is "unacceptable".

Berlin fears many of these migrants are heading straight for Germany, where tensions are on the rise after the country saw an influx of over a million asylum seekers last year, putting huge pressure on Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door policy.

"It won't work if some countries think they can solve the problem by putting extra weight on Germany's back," de Maiziere told ARD public television, accusing Vienna of failing to carry out adequate checks on those being let through.

Despite strong objections from the European Union, Austria on Friday introduced a daily limit of 80 migrants who are allowed to claim asylum while allowing 3,200 migrants a day to transit through.

"Even for security reasons, this is unacceptable. We won't allow this to continue long term," de Maiziere said, adding that he intended to bring up the issue at the next gathering of EU interior ministers in Brussels on Thursday.

The asylum cap "is an Austrian decision", he said. "But to say that 3,200 can continue towards Germany is the wrong signal," he added. "The figure is much too high. We won't accept it and that's why we need to talk about this."

Austria's move was the latest example of unilateral action taken by an EU country to stem the migrant flow, as the bloc struggles to cope with the continent's worst migrant crisis since World War II.

Makedonian raja on mennyt säppiin afgaanien lisäksi myös sellaisilta irakilaisilta ja syyrialaisilta joiden paprut on päässyt matkalla hukkumaan. Pitäisi siis löytyä passi tai Makedonian läpi ei matkata.

Tästä on nyt seurannut se että Kreikassa peukaloitaan pyörittelee jo nyt tuhansittain matuja, eikä uudet rajoitukset ole olleet voimassa kuin päivän. Kreekut ihmeissään että mites tässä näin kävi.

Tänään Ateenan satamaan saapunut tuhansia jotka on ohjattu johonkin hätämajoitukseen. Saas nähdä minkälainen härdelli tästä syntyy.
