Breitbart London: EU Blows €7m On Taxpayer-Funded Propaganda Conference Before European Elections (http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/05/06/european-union-youth-event-propaganda-may-22)
Just days before the elections to the European Parliament, European Union politicians will spend €7m to bring thousands of young voters to a three-day propaganda event (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/eye2014/en/news/news.html) at the parliament's headquarters in Strasbourg.
Five thousand young people aged 16 to 30 from across the EU will be taught about "common European values." There will be 250 meetings with 150 speakers including eurocrats and other EU cheerleaders to teach the thousands of young people "their own European identity." Participants will also be invited "to stage cultural performances and showcase the rich cultural diversity within the EU in an inclusive way."

UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall MEP told Breitbart News: "Bonkers Brussels bureaucrats have a neck spending €7m on a propaganda event to make young people love the EU when youth unemployment is reaching 60 percent in Greece and Spain."
"Far from being invited to freely air their own views, the young people will be carefully restricted in the banners they can display and the on-message speakers they shall be allowed to hear."
"The amount of taxpayers' money spent on EU promotion and propaganda is an absolute scandal. The EU Communication budget came to €2.4bn in 2009, and I am sure it has increased since. The amount the EU spends of these events is huge."
