Man jailed for raping teenage girl

A man has been jailed for 11 years for the rape and kidnap of a 13-year-old girl in Southwark.

Omieke Glenn, 22 (20.10.95), of Monteagle Way, Southwark was sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment on Thursday, 5 July at Inner London Crown Court.

Due to the seriousness of the offence he will serve a further five years on licence.

Glenn was also served with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

He was found guilty at the same court on Wednesday, 6 June of two counts of rape of a 13-year-old girl and one count of kidnap.

The court heard that at around 19:15hrs on 6 May 2017, the victim was making her way to her friend's house when she was attacked by Glenn on Copeland Road in Southwark.

Glenn grabbed her and threatened to harm her if she did not do as he said.

He then raped her on the porch outside the address whilst filming the attack on his mobile phone. He further raped the victim prior to being interrupted by the victim's friends who had come to find her.

The victim immediately reported the incident to officers at a south London police station.

Shoko Asahara, founder of the doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo and mastermind behind the deadly 1995 nerve gas attack on the Tokyo subway system — and a number of other horrific crimes in the 1980s and '90s — was executed on Friday, according to news reports.

In total, Asahara, 63, whose real name was Chizuo Matsumoto, was found guilty for his role in 13 crimes that led to the deaths of 27 people that later was increased to29. In the Tokyo subway attack, 13 people were killed and more than 6,000 injured.

The death penalty for the guru of the now-disbanded cult was first handed down by the Tokyo District Court in February 2004 and finalized by the Supreme Court in September 2006.

The crimes he was convicted of also include the murders of lawyer Tsutsumi Sakamoto, his wife and their 1-year-old son in November 1989 and another sarin gas attack in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, in June 1994. That attack killed eight and left about 600 injured.

Asahara's execution was delayed while the lengthy court proceedings involving other key Aum followers accused of complicity in the crimes played out, all of which concluded on Jan. 25 of this year.

A man who took advantage of a drunk woman to rape her in the street has been jailed for eight years.
Sanjay Naker, 28 (9.03.90) a financial consultant, of Russell Avenue, Wood Green, was today, Thursday, 5 July, found guilty at Inner London Crown Court of three counts of oral rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault.
The court heard that on 11 March 2017, the 18-year-old victim had been out for the night at a bar in Tooley Street, SE1 before being asked to leave as she'd had too much to drink.
Naker had been outside the bar, he saw the victim and began talking to her. CCTV showed them chatting at around 04:00hrs, Naker appearing to show her concern, picking her up when she fell and offering her his jacket. At one point he gave her a piggyback.
He then tried to kiss her and she pushed him off. He kept trying to pull her in the opposite direction to where she was walking and eventually succeeded, dragging her to a secluded corner of The Queens Walk, London Bridge.
There he raped her and sexually assaulted her multiple times.
Security staff working nearby went to investigate, having seen suspicious activity on CCTV. Naker told them he had met the woman in a club nearby. He give them his details and then left.
The staff found the woman unconscious on the ground with her underwear pulled down and called an ambulance.
She was taken to hospital to recover and later to a Haven where it was determined she had been raped.
Naker was circulated as wanted and arrested the following day. In interview he claimed the victim had asked him for sex. Following further enquiries he was charged on 28 Novembe 2017r.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Aidan Kersley, from the Met's Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command, said: "Naker deliberately targeted his victim as someone intoxicated and vulnerable.
"After talking to her for a matter of minutes, he managed to drag her to a secluded area where he raped her. She has no memory of what happened.
"Naker then brazenly gave security guards his name, confident that the victim's intoxication would protect him. However, we were able to prove she had been raped and build a strong case against him – the simple fact was, she was too drunk to give her consent.
"This case shows that no matter what the circumstances, we will work tirelessly to bring rapists and sexual offenders to justice. Anyone who sadly finds themselves in similar circumstances should take courage from this case and the conviction we have seen today. Our officers are experienced, highly trained and treat victims with the sensitivity and compassion they deserve."

Naker was found not guilty of sexual assault by penetration.

Saksan liittotasavallan poliisi löysi Eurocity-junassa tekemässään tarkastuksessa georgialaisen miehen, jolla oli 45 henkilöllisyyttä.

Georgialaisen 51-vuotiaan miehen hallusta löytyi aluksi kaksi eri nimille kirjoitettua passia. Jatkotutkimuksissa huomattiin, ettei mies ollut tyytynyt vain kahteen identiteettiin vaan hän oli kehittänyt turvakseen 45 henkilöllisyyden verkon.

Mies oli tehtaillut eri identiteeteillään vuosien 1997 ja 2018 välillä useita rikoksia, muun muassa asuntomurtoja ja varkauksia. Hänet on karkotettu Saksasta neljä kertaa, ja viimeisin turvapaikkahakemus oli hylätty tämän vuoden keväällä.

Miehellä oli voimassa myös viiden vuoden matkustuskielto Saksaan, jota mies ei ilmeisesti noudattanut vaan teki siitä huolimatta uuden turvapaikkahakemuksen.

Miehen junamatka ei päättynyt sinne mihin hän oli menossa vaan Dresdenin poliisin pidätysselliin. Siellä hän majailee siihen saakka, kunnes hänen rötöslistansa on käyty uudemman kerran läpi.

Mohammed Abdullah Musa, who has been residing in Malta for 13 years and is the father of a three-year-old girl, has been accused of the rape of two 13-year-old minors who reside in an institute, as well as participating in sexual activities with them, activities related to child prostitution.

Police Inspectors Joanna Piscopo and Paula Ciantar explained before Magistrate Ian Farrugia that the accused knew the mother of one of the girls and resultantly her daughter made contact with him on Facebook. They agreed to meet in a garage where the accused lived in Ħamrun's Brighella Street after they had agreed the accused purchase a mobile phone as payment.

The girl told her friend to accompany her and to "perform" what had to be done. However, the accused had sex with both the minors. The Inspectors explained that at one point the girls wanted to stop but the accused insisted on continuing and only stopped when the girls remonstrated and started to kick him.

One of the carers at the institute reported the case to the Police after one of the girls spoke to her of her experiences.

Defence lawyer Jason Grima said he was surprised that the girl, who had made the prostitution arrangement through Facebook, was not being arraigned for prostitution. He said the girl has two other pending cases in similar cases with two other Arab men who were also victims of her schemes.

Magistrate Farrugia maintained that when a 13-year-old girl makes an approach on Facebook, one is fully aware of her intentions. What is certain is that one does not engage in sexual relations with her.

Mohammed Abdullah Musa entered a plea of not guilty but was not granted bail. Magistrate Farrugia ordered the two girls to be in Court for the forthcoming session to give their testimony.

Saksan Frankfurtissa 37-vuotias afgaanimies kuristi (=tukehdutti tyynyllä) viimeisillään raskaana olleen, 30-vuotiaan vaimonsa aviovuoteeseen tämän nukkuessa ja tappoi siten samalla syntymättömän lapsen. Samassa huoneessa nukkuivat pariskunnan kaksi lasta, 4-vuotias ja puolivuotias puolitoistavuotias. Mies oli tyytymätön sukulaisten Afganistanissa järjestämään avioliittoon (ja -puolisoon). Truck ban for 'radicalised' NSW man

A convert to Islam accused of saying he would attack a shopping centre and police station will be banned from driving heavy vehicles under an anti-terror supervision order.

Greg Ceissman will also have to wear electronic monitoring equipment, provide a weekly plan of his movements three days in advance if directed, and live at an approved address under the 48 conditions of his two-year extended supervision order.

The order was imposed by Justice Stephen Rothman in the NSW Supreme Court on Wednesday after the state of NSW alleged 24-year-old Ceissman had become radicalised in prison.

The judge will deliver his reasons for the order at a later date.

Ceissman, who completed his sentence for vehicle theft in April, isn't charged with a terror offence and has denied having extremist views.

The state alleged that during his time in custody he expressed a threat to attack Bankstown Shopping Centre and Marrickville Police Station and shoot and behead police officers.

He's accused of saying he would get 72 virgins in heaven if he was killed.

Operation Puglia: 70 arrested in dawn raids as part of drug dealing crackdown

Almost 70 suspects have been arrested in a string of dawn raids in one of the biggest police crackdowns on violent drug dealers in a decade.

A total of 2,775 officers from the City of London police and the Met have been working on Operation Puglia, targeting heroin and crack cocaine dealers across west London.

The operation, which has been six-months in the planning, resulted in 250 officers today swooping on different gangs in Kensington, Westminster and Chelsea, arresting everyone from low-ranking teenagers to some of the most violent suspect offenders.

So far, 67 people have been detained and 46 charged with a total of 210 drug-related offences, 17 of whom are teenagers.

In one dramatic scene, a teenager jumped from a third-storey window to as police burst through the front door of his mother's home in Chelsea.

Detective Superintendent Raffaele D'Orsi, who led the operation, said: "These people know we are looking for them it may take us a while to get the evidence but they know when we do come they will get significant sentences.

"Operation Puglia is all about violent individuals who come to this area to deal drugs. It will have a huge impact on the criminal fraternity."

Arab clans dominate Berlin: Twenty families rule large parts of Germany's capital

According to police estimates, close to 20 large Arab family clans live in Berlin. They each have up to 500 members. Twelve clans are causing serious problems for the police as they repeatedly commit organised crimes, Berliner Zeitung reports.

One clan was raided last Friday, as 40 financial investigators from the State Criminal Police Office were standing in front doors of various members of the clan.

Twelve addresses of the extended family R. were searched in Berlin, one in Brandenburg. In total, 77 properties were seized on Friday – with a total value of around ten million euros.

The properties were financed, for the most part, with money from criminal activities. Members of the extended family R. have been known to the police for years for criminal acts.

In October 2014 they broke into and robbed a bank in Mariendorf, taking almost ten million euros.

The clans, which consist of Arabs, Turks and Africans operate primarily in the west of the city. Some Arab clans live in Berlin's Neukölln suburb and have divided certain streets amongst themselves.

Concern After Belgian Locals Threaten to Take Law into Own Hands over Migrant Delinquents

Police in the Belgian coastal town of Zeebrugge have called for calm after members of the community threatened to take the law into their own hands over a series of robberies committed by delinquent illegal migrants.

The local residents of the small port, located just outside Bruges, have expressed outrage over an increased wave of robberies from cars and homes that have been attributed to illegal migrants, Het Laatste Nieuws reports.

Police have warned the residents against confronting the illegal migrants, many of which sleep in local playgrounds and on the streets, saying that they should call them before acting and not to blame illegal migrants for all of the recent thefts in the area.

"It is dangerous to assume immediately that the thefts are the work of migrants," police said.

The police line was echoed by Mayor Renaat Landuyt who urged residents to "immediately report suspicious situations to the police. That is and remains the only correct solution."

Last week alone, a total of 63 illegal migrants were arrested in the village for various offences in and around the port area, according to the police.

The experience in Zeebrugge echoes others around Europe. Last month, the leader of the community of Moria on the Greek island of Lesbos Nikos Trakellis warned that locals in his area were also becoming increasingly enraged by the actions of asylum seekers.

"We are all being duped here and in Europe. They're making fun of us. The residents are ready to take the law into their own hands. We are trying to contain the local community, to preserve whatever social cohesion is left," he said.

Residents in northern Paris also expressed their anger over thefts and harassment from underage illegal migrant street gangs, with 1,600 locals signing a letter demanding the local government take immediate action.

An African migrant attacked a neighbour's child with a knife on Wednesday. The 11-year-old boy was seriously injured during the attack in the town of Vilshofen, Germany's TAG24 reports.

The 11-year-old boy was taken to hospital with deep cuts and puncture wounds on his upper body, neck and leg, police said on Thursday.

Thanks to emergency surgery, the boy from Vilshofen (Passau district) is no longer in critical condition.

An immediate investigation by police led to the arrest of a 25-year-old suspect from Eritrea, and also retrieved the knife used in the attack.

The African migrant's motive for the attack of the boy, who was living in the same apartment block, remains unclear. He is now being investigated for attempted murder.

Baby Levi Cole Ellerbe was kidnapped on July 17 after two people came to mother Hanna Barker's trailer door just after 9pm and sprayed her in the face with what she believed was mace.

Instinctively, the Barker ran to get away, a statement from Natchitoches police said, and when she went back home, found her infant son was missing.

Police said the search for baby Levi began immediately, with additional officers from surrounding precincts called in to help.

Unfortunately, less than 90 minutes after Levi went missing, police were alerted to a fire nearby the railroad, where they found a badly burned six-month-old boy.

Levi was rushed to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in a critical condition but died on Wednesday from his injuries.

Eight men have been accused of raping a pregnant goat after which the animal died. The incident took place in Haryana's Mewat district.

The goat's owner registered a police complaint on July 26 after he found the goat missing and while searching for it reached the site of incident.

According to the police, all accused are absconding and medical examination of the dead goat will be conducted to further investigate the case.

Aslu, the goat owner, registered a complaint alleging that his goat was gang-raped on the night of July 25 by men named Savakar, Haroon, Jaffar and five others whose identities are yet to be ascertained.
