Police Hunt 'Man of Asian Appearance Who Tried to Rape 10-Year-Old in Broad Daylight'

Police have stepped up patrols after a man allegedly tried to rape a 10-year-old child in broad daylight in Manchester.

The suspect approached the girl on Saturday afternoon after she had become separated from her friends, and tried to rape her on "open land" in the city's Openshaw area, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

The primary school pupil managed to escape and asked a dog walker for help. Police carried out a search, and extra officers are now patrolling the area but the offender remains at large.

He is described as being a man in his 20s "of Asian appearance", with a slim build, and was wearing a dark coat at the time of the attack.

Greater Manchester Police are expected to make more details available Monday afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector James Riley, from GMP's City of Manchester team, said: "What happened to this young girl is understandably very upsetting and specially trained officers will continue to support her in any way they can.

"Parents and neighbours will be concerned and we have stepped up our visible police patrols throughout the coming days and nights. If you do have any worries then please feel free to approach them and they will try and assist.

Koulutovereidensa raiskaaman 9-vuotiaan tapaus on herättänyt runsaasti keskustelua Espanjassa. 9-vuotias poika joutui viime viikolla sairaalahoitoon sen jälkeen, kun hänet oli raiskattu väkivaltaisesti koulun vessassa välitunnilla.

Tekijät eivät joudu oikeudelliseen vastuuseen nuoren ikänsä takia, mikä on saanut espanjalaiset vaatimaan lakien muuttamista.

Maan tiedotusvälineet ovat seuranneet tiiviisti maata järkyttänyttä epäiltyä joukkoraiskausta. Viranomaiset saivat tiedon tapahtuneesta viime viikolla sen jälkeen, kun 9-vuotias uhri oli joutunut sairaalaan vammojensa takia.

Raiskaukset tapahtuivat koulun vessassa välitunnilla
Jo sairaalassa poika kertoi, ettei joukkoraiskaus ollut ensimmäinen. El Español-lehden mukaan poika kertoi vanhemmilleen, että hänet oli raiskattu samojen poikien toimesta "kolme tai neljä kertaa", ja että kaikki tapaukset olivat tapahtuneet koulun alueella koulupäivän aikana.

9-vuotiasta uhria ole peloteltu niin pahoin, ettei hän aiemmin uskaltanut kertoa raiskauksista kenellekään.

Koulusta vakuutetaan, ettei sen henkilökunnalla ollut minkäänlaista aavistusta tapuhtuneesta.

Uhri ei toistaiseksi jatka koulunkäyntiään.

Epäillyt tekijät puolestaan on erotettu koulusta määräajaksi. Näillä näkymin he saavat palata tunneille 22. maaliskuuta.

Epäillyillä ei rikosoikeudellista vastuuta
Raiskauksista epäillyt pojat on siis erotettu koulusta määräajaksi, mutta juuri muuta rangaistusta heille ei ole luvassa nuoren ikänsä takia.

Viranomaisten mukaan poikia ei nähdä oikeudessa, koska yksikään epäillyistä ei ikänsä puolesta ole teoistaan rikosoikeudellisessa vastuussa, kertoo Cadena Ser.

Se, mitä nelikolle seuraavaksi tapahtuu, on nyt sosiaaliviranomaisten käsissä.

Epäillyillä rankka kotitausta
Epäillyt ovat romanitaustaisia, ja kolme heistä, 9-vuotias ja 13-vuotiaat kaksoset, ovat keskenään veljeksiä. Neljäs tekijä on heidän 11-vuotias serkkunsa.

Kaupunkilaiset kauhistuneita

Vehicle attempts to enter National Security Agency campus; 3 people in custody

Three people were taken into custody Wednesday morning after a black SUV attempted to enter the National Security Agency campus in Maryland without authorization. The incident ended with the bullet-riddled vehicle being stopped by barriers outside the gate, officials said.

The SUV, which had a New York license plate, appeared to be a rental car, Johnson said. He added that the incident was not linked to terrorism and there's an ongoing investigation.

An NSA police officer and a civilian in the area were injured and taken to the hospital. One of the passengers in the SUV was also injured and hospitalized. The conditions of those injured were not released, though Johnson said it appeared the injuries were not gunshot-related.

"Weapons were discharged in the course of the incident, which remains under investigation at this time," the NSA said in an earlier statement.

Islamic Extremist Policewoman Arrested in Paris No-Go Zone Suburb After Stealing Firearms

A 20-year-old policewoman, who has been described as "radicalised" by colleagues, has been arrested in the heavily migrant-populated Paris suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis after being accused of stealing firearms.

The 20-year-old woman was arrested late last week for allegedly stealing two Sig Sauer 9mm calibre pistols. Three other suspects have also been arrested in connection with the case including a member of the French military, Le Parisien reports.

Colleagues of the 20-year-old officer described her as having an unpleasant personality and said they suspected she might hold radical Islamic extremist sympathies.

The theft is thought to have occurred last August and the gun profile matches that of a pistol which was used to fire on a soldier who was jogging in a forest in Ozoir-la-Ferrière in November. The soldier was shot in the leg and escaped the encounter without fatal injuries.

During the raids that led to the arrest of the policewoman, one of the pistols was recovered while the other has yet to be found by authorities.

A police executive remarked on the case saying it was "incomprehensible" why the female officer would steal the pistols from the department, which are easily traced, as opposed to buying weapons on the street.

Two men were injured Sunday night in a stabbing at Macy's in the Mall of America after an "interrupted theft," police say.

The victims, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, were stabbed when they confronted a 20-year-old Minneapolis man who was attempting to steal items belonging to one of the victims from a fitting room, according to Bloomington Police Chief Jeff Potts. Their alleged assailant, Mahad Abdiaziz Abdirahaman, is being held on suspicion of first-degree assault.

Man Gets 15 Years In MOA Stabbing Attack

A Minneapolis man who pleaded guilty to stabbing two brothers inside a Mall of America fitting room has learned his punishment.

Mahad Abdiaziz Abdiraham stood silently as the judge sentenced him to more than 15 years in prison — 187 months — for the November attack in Macy's.

Abdiraham pleaded guilty to stabbing the men — 19-year-old Alex Sanchez and 25-year-old John Sanchez — multiple times in the head, arms and back.

The incident happened at about 6:44 p.m. on Nov. 12 as Bloomington police responded to a report of a stabbing. It started as a theft that was interrupted.

Authorities said the stabbing happened in a dressing room at the Macy's store at Mall of America. A suspect, later identified as Abdirahaman, was trying to steal belongings from one of the men in the fitting room when he was confronted. Abdirahaman then stabbed him.

Authorities say the victim's trying to stop the initial theft and stabbing was also stabbed. One man needed 42 stitches, and the other needed a blood transfusion.

The incident forced the Macy's store to go on lockdown.

Neither victim appeared in court, but an advocate read a statement for Alex — the most seriously injured.

"I wake up every day and look at my face and relive the ordeal over and over and over again it will never end for me or my family members," the statement said.

Cynthia Leon, the victims' aunt, says the knife-wielding defendant got a slap on the hand for the crime he committed.

"Its not enough," she said. "I see Alex. He has to live with this every single day, and this is for the rest of his life. It almost feels like he was the one who was punished."

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says Abdirahman earned all 15 years of his sentence, and his confession of committing the crime for a foreign terror group wasn't enough to pursue federal charges.

"Terrorism charges are hard to prove, and the police presented it to us," he said. "We saw it was a serious crime. We often talk to the feds on whether we should keep the case or send it there. Our discussion here is we felt we had a very strong case, we felt because of the seriousness of the injuries, we could get a significant sentence, and we did."

Alex Sanchez does not have full function of his left arm or cheek. His brother John has lost motion in his thumbs and has not returned to his construction job.

Both men are recovering and will learn in 60 days the restitution Abdiraham will have to pay them for their injuries.

Saksa: Afgaani halusi hukuttaa tyttöystävänsä mutta hukkuikin itse

Rakastavaisten riidan päätteeksi 19-vuotias afgaani sekosi täysin ja yritti hukuttaa 17-vuotiaan tyttöystävänsä Havel-jokeen. Tyttö onnistui pelastautumaan joesta, mutta uimataidoton surmamies upposi jokeen.

Joulukuun 19. päivänä poliisi sai ilmoituksen, että afgaanimies oli heittänyt 17-vuotiaan tyttöystävänsä Haveliin. Mies oli hypännyt perässä jokeen tarkoituksenaan hukuttaa neito. Afgaani yritti painaa neidon pään veden alle useita kertoja, mutta epäonnistui teossaan. Neito pääsi uimalla karkuun surmamiestä, joka uimataidottomana upposi kaksiasteiseen veteen.

Three African Men Arrested for Cannibalism in Paris Suburb

Three men have been arrested in the heavily migrant-populated Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois for attacking a man by biting at his face and then eating the pieces of flesh they had bitten off.

The men, who all originally came from the African island nation of Cape Verde, were arrested on Sunday after they attacked a man who was walking in the Hector-Berlioz alley at around 6 pm and bit off pieces his ear and lower lip, Le Parisien reports.

The victim was able to fight off the attackers, wounding one of them in the ankle, before police arrived a short time later and arrested the three Africans.

Both the victim and the injured man were then taken to Montfermeil hospital.

Clichy-sous-Bois has become infamous as one of the most troubled no-go zones surrounding the French capital. The massive riots that occurred in 2005 began in the area when a pair of teenagers running from the police killed themselves by hiding in an electric power station.

Since then, Clichy-sous-Bois has been associated with further riots, as was the case last year, and with a connection to the rising tide of radical Islamic extremism in France.

Pakistani Migrants Arrested For Rape of Young Italian Boy At Railway Station

Two Pakistani migrants were arrested in the Italian city of Brindisi this week after being accused of raping a boy who was waiting for a train at the city's railway station.

The two men, identified as 29-year-old Rab Nawaz and 28-year-old Ali Imram, have been accused of making sexual advances toward a young man at the train station and forcing him into an alley where they are said to have raped him, Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reports.

The victim was able to call police following the attack but the Pakistani men fled in a nearby car. Police were eventually able to catch up with the pair of migrants, one of whom is living in the country on an expired residence permit, and arrest them. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital due to injuries suffered during the sex attack.

According to investigators, the victim, who has not been identified or given an exact age, said that the men had approached him and he had tried to leave the station but was followed, pushed into an alley and attacked. He also said that he attempted in vain to fight off the pair.

Ypöyksin maahantullut (Calaisista rekan kyydissä totta kai) afgaanimatu Aryan Rashidi yritti raiskata nukkuvan naisen syyskuussa 2016 Iso-Britannian Bradfordissa murtauduttuaan tämän kotiin. Lokakuussa 2016 hän raiskasi raskaana olleen naisen veitsellä uhaten tämän kodissa Wakefieldissa.

Rashidi on tutkimusten perusteella noin 22-vuotias. Hän sai 14 v 7 kk vankeusrangaistuksen.

'Unaccompanied Minor' Jailed for Raping Pregnant Woman at Knifepoint

An Afghan man has been jailed after raping a pregnant woman at knifepoint in her own bed, and for an attack on a sleeping victim as her baby lay beside her in a cot.

Judge Neil Clark said he hoped Aryan Rashidi would be deported after Leeds Crown Court heard the defendant had caused "huge psychological upset" in his victims, who have had to move house due to no longer feeling safe in their own homes.

On September 14th, 2016, the illegal immigrant, who entered Britain from Calais on the back of a lorry, climbed into a house in Bradford and tried to assault a sleeping woman.

The court heard that the woman was sleeping in bed with her husband, with her baby in a cot beside the bed, when she awoke to discover Rashidi pulling at her pyjama bottoms.

Prosecutor David Hall said the victim pretended to be asleep as she feared the intruder could be armed, before her husband waking up caused Rashidi to flee, leaving a shoe behind at the scene.

The 20-year-old, who claimed to police he was aged 15 or 16 before dental records revealed his age to be closer to 22, struck again on October 5th near Wakefield city centre.

Police were called in the early hours of the morning after a woman reported she had been raped at knifepoint by a man who climbed into the property through an open window.

Mr. Hall said the rape victim could find "no joy in her pregnancy" after the attack and suffered from depression. She went on to deliver her child safely.

Rashidi was linked to the crimes by his fingerprints and analysis of CCTV footage; but following his arrest, there were delays in sentencing after the Afghan handed officers documents purporting he was aged under 18.

Local media reported the judiciary had expressed doubts on two previous occasions over the Afghan's claim to be a minor, with Judge Clark remarking: "When you came before me on April 3, I noted that you sported a beard and appeared to be significantly over the age of 18."

On Monday, Rashidi was sentenced to 14 years and seven months' imprisonment and told he must serve a minimum of five years, eight months, in custody before he will be allowed to apply for parole.

According to the Wakefield Express, a report on the offending of the accused said his attitude towards the victims seemed "glib and disregarding", and described him as "highly predatory" and willing to engage in risk-taking behaviour to "meet his sexual needs".

Defending Rashidi, Robert Stevenson said his client now accepted that he was aged over 18 and that the defendant "has known nothing but a war-torn and lawless country".

"Rather than just being evil, he is the product of a somewhat traumatic past," he told the court.
