Silminnäkijöiden mukaan hyökkääjällä oli päällään pommivyö.
Kahdeksan ihmistä on haavoittunut sarjapuukotuksessa Venäjällä, kertovat viranomaiset. Hyökkääjä ammuttiin.

Alustavien tietojen mukaan hyökkääjä puukotti umpimähkään ohikulkijoita Surgutin kaupungin keskustassa Hanti-Mansiassa Länsi-Siperiassa.

Mies juoksi kaupungin pääkatua ja puukotti vastaan tulevia ihmisiä, kertoo uutistoimisto Tass.

Uhrit on viety sairaalaan ja kahden kerrotaan olevan kriittisessä tilassa.
Yhteyttä terrorismiin ei ole vahvistettu

Tekijän motiivista ei ole tietoa. Tassin haastatteleman paikallisen poliisin mukaan mies olisi kärsinyt mielenterveydellisistä ongelmista.

Viranomaiset eivät myöskään kertoneet, onko veriteoilla kytköksiä terrorismiin.

Silminnäkijät ovat kertoneet, että miehellä olisi ollut päällään pommivyö. Tietoa ei ole vahvistettu.

Pienet solut aktivoituu, näitähän piisaa meillä ja muualla. Suomessa tappaja hoidetaan kuntoon ja 4-5vuoden päästä syötetään kela-goldin avulla hyvinkin tukevaan kuntoon.

Terror in Russia: Knifeman pictured with 'suicide belt' strapped to chest

HORRIFYING pictures have emerged of a knifeman attacker with a "suicide belt" strapped to his chest after he went on a stabbing rampage in a city.

The attacker – named as Bobichel Abdurakhmanov – went on a knifing spree down a busy street in the city of Surgut, at 11.20am this morning.

At least eight people were injured, including two who suffered serious wounds.

Shocking pictures have emerged of the 23-year-old lying dead on the floor after armed cops shot him.

He appears to be wearing a suicide belt that could be fake.

The horrific incident happened at 11.20am local time (two hours ahead of the UK).

Russian authorities initially said they did not think the incident was terror-related, although this has been refuted by other sources.

There were also claims more than one attacker was involved and there are more than eight victims.

Witnesses have also reportedly said that the attacker also used an axe and stones as weapons.

Police have now warned the city's residents to stay in their homes, although it is not clear if this is because they are hunting more suspects.

BREAKING: ISIS claims responsibility for Russian knife rampage

ISLAMIC State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for a knife rampage in the Russian city of Surgut which left eight people injured and the attacker dead.

The claim was made in a statement issued through the terror network's own Amaq news agency.

Russian law enforcement officers had earlier suggested terrorism was not thought to be a primary motive behind the attack and said they were investigating the suspects's mental health background.

Local media reported the attacker was wearing a fake suicide belt and named him as 23-year-old Bobichel Abdurakhmanov.
