Police targeted in shootings

Poliisia ammuttiin vatsaan yöllä Nørrebrossa Kööpenhaminassa. Tänään Århusissa kolme ryöstäjää ampui poliisia kohti tappaen poliisikoiran. Viimeviikolla poliisia kohti ammuttiin Odensen Vollsmosessa. http://hommaforum.org/index.php/topic,11500.0.html Odensessa tilanne onkin jo sellainen, että poliisiammattiliitto vaatii poliiseja käyttämään luotiliiviä jatkuvasti virkatehtävissään.

Poliisia kohti on ammuttu viimeisen 19 vuoden aikana 10 kertaa, kun otetaan ylläolevat tapaukset huomioon.

Just 15 minutes before the Nørrebro incident, up to 30 shots were fired in the Tingbjerg district of North West Copenhagen. No one was injured in the shooting and police have not ascertained if the two incidents are related.

Nørrebron tapauksessa poliisi oli ratsaamassa Hell's Angelin ja AK81 tiloja. Noin 15 minuuttia aikaisemmin Tingbjergin alueella oli ammuttu 30 laukausta, mutta kukaan ei onneksi loukkaantunut.

Clashes between police and protestors mark another violent weekend in the nation's capital

More violence plagued the city's troubled Nørrebro district this weekend in connection with police stepping up their stop and search policy.

At 2am on Sunday, police stopped a cyclist near Blågårds Plads to conduct a search. The cyclist reportedly attempted to resist the search and kicked an officer in the stomach.

Some witnesses say the police struck the cyclist first.

The incident sparked a wave of protests culminating in up to 40 people throwing bricks at police, smashing vehicles and lighting fires in the street. Police used pepper spray and tear gas to break up the mobs and reportedly pursuing some of the rioters all the way to their families' apartments.

Rioting also took place on Sunday night in the Tingbjerg district of the city's northwest district, with more fires set and vehicles overturned.

According to police, many of the rioters were as young as 13-14 years old – particularly those involved in last night's turmoil.

Since the riots relating to the closure of Ungdomshuset (a gathering place for young people) in 2007, the Nørrebro district has been the scene of several clashes between police and young people. In addition, several shootings have taken place in the area.
Many long-time residents of Nørrebro say they have had enough of the rioting and will move out.

'I've lived here for 20 years, so I've seen pretty much everything,' said Nørrebro resident Rasmus Bramm.

'But now I'm looking for a new place – and it won't be in Nørrebro.'

Jälleen väkivaltainen viikonloppu Kööpenhaminassa Nørrebron alueella. 40 nuorta heitteli poliiseja tiiliskivillä, rikkoi autoja ja sytytteli paloja. Poliisi vastasi kyynelkaasulla ja kävi hakemassa mellakoitisjoita jopa näiden vanhempien kodeista. Samoin mellakointia tapahtui myös Tingbjergin kaupungiosassa.

Poliisin mukaan mellakoitsijoiden joukossa oli jopa 13 - 14 vuotiaita. Monille asukkaille mellakointi alkaa riittää ja he ovat muuttamassa pois kyseisiltä alueilta.
