Hurjaa hommaa ja Netflixissä oli ainakin aiemmin sarja nimeltä Bomb Squad. En tiedä suomennosta ellei "pommiryhmä", mutta piti olla myös Suomen Netflixissä.

En ihmettele jos ei ihan terveenä palaa, mutta ei sinne myöskään hakeuduta hetken mielijohteesta ja kokeilijat lopetttavat jo koulutuksessa. Useimmat saavat tarpeekseen ensimmäisellä komennuksella.

Tuo kokemus pitäisi ainakin poistaa suurimmat islamistisympatiat, mutta onhan meillä mm. Talibanin kanssa viihtynyt ja amerikkalaisia turhaan tapattanut Bergdahl.

They've identified the people killed during the minute-long shooting spree, but have not released their names, saying they have not contacted all family members.

Investigators are scouring Santiago's electronics and digital media, a law enforcement official familiar with the case told The Washington Post. They're trying to determine what videos Santiago actually watched, if he had any real contact with Islamic State sympathizers and whether that motivated him to carry out the shooting.

At a Saturday morning news conference, authorities detailed a sprawling investigation in Florida, Alaska and several other locations. Investigators had interviewed 175 people, including Santiago's family and the people on his two flights on Friday, which were uneventful.

Investigators believe he was planning to carry out his attack for some time, law enforcement officials told CNN on Saturday.

Santiago recently began selling his possessions, including his car, and friends and associates noticed more erratic behavior, investigators have learned from interviews with those who know him.

Authorities are examining writings, including online posts, that in retrospect appear to indicate some period of planning, law enforcement officials said.

Santiago was armed during his visit to the FBI office, law enforcement officials told CNN. He told federal agents he was licensed to carry a gun. As was standard practice in a FBI building, authorities took the gun and turned it over to local police.

Investigators believe it was the same gun that was found at the scene of Friday's shooting.

According to the T.S.A., passengers at the nation's airports are allowed to transport unloaded guns in their checked baggage. The firearms must be kept in a locked "hard-sided" container, and gun owners must declare firearms and any ammunition to airline representatives when checking the bags at ticket counters, according to the agency's firearm regulations. Guns, real ones as well as replicas and toys, are allowed to be transported only in checked baggage, not in carry-on luggage. The same is true for clips, firing pins and other firearm parts.

Gun-control supporters said the shooting raised questions about the efforts in some states, including Florida, to allow gun owners to carry firearms inside passenger terminals in airports, but it was unclear if the shooting would lead to calls for the T.S.A. to tighten firearm regulations.

The shooting has shed light on a rather obscure aspect of American air travel. Airport security experts said the practice has not been a cause of concern for law enforcement officials, and gun-rights advocates defended it as safe and said Mr. Santiago's actions did not represent the majority of gun owners who travel with their weapons.

"Federal regulations allow the carriage of firearms in checked baggage," said Mr. Murphy, the former police chief of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

On muuten muutaman kerran ollut mahdollisuus kentällä käydä hakemassa oma ruumalaukku ennen ppassin tarkastusta. Mitä pienempi kenttä sitä leväperäisempi meininlnki. Tai pienempi lentoyhtiö/kone riittää sillä viimeksi noin oli Frankfurtin kentällä.

The suspected gunman in an airport shooting rampage in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Esteban Santiago, 26, an Iraq War veteran — has been charged with federal crimes and could face the death penalty, the Justice Department announced Saturday night.

Two of the injured victims remained in intensive care Sunday afternoon, while the remaining four had been released or were recovering at Broward General Hospital, Sheriff Scott Israel said. The hospital gave slightly different numbers, saying seven victims, five of them suffering gunshot wounds, remained hospitalized Sunday. One gunshot victim was released Saturday, the hospital said.

The Army veteran's rambling walk-in interview at the Anchorage office was concerning enough for authorities to take away his gun and order a mental health evaluation. But it wasn't enough to get him mentally adjudicated, which would have prohibited Santiago from owning a firearm.

Santiago got the gun back a month later when he retrieved the pistol from police headquarters, and it was that weapon, law enforcement sources told CNN, that he used in the airport attack.

"As far as I know, this is not somebody that would have been prohibited based on the information that (authorities in Alaska) have. I think that law enforcement acted within the laws that they have," said US Attorney Karen Loeffler.
